- Ok so here me out on this one…..

- How many of you did this when you were or kid (or still do) When I was young I used to love getting the window seat, and every flight I always watched to see if I could see our luggage go on our aircraft. It was like this odd game of Where’s Waldo but in luggage form, and once seen it felt like you accomplished your mission. Now it was on to the vacation.

- Now maybe that’s just me but if that was you in the past let me know In the comments. - So anyways….here’s the photo that inspired that story. When you see packages and luggage going on from the top view sometimes it sparks those memories lol

Airbus A330-300 Delta Air Lines

The history of Delta Air Lines began in 1925, when it was founded under the name Huff Daland Dusters. In 1928, the company was renamed Delta Air Service, and in 1945 – Delta Air Lines. The airline began passenger operations in 1929, and its first route was flights from Dallas, Texas to Jackson, Mississippi. Delta Air Lines currently serves 214 domestic and 97 international destinations in 59 countries.

As of December 2024, Delta Air Lines has a fleet of 984 aircraft, making it one of the largest commercial airlines in the world. Delta's total fleet includes more than 80 Airbus A330 aircraft, of which 33 are A330–300 aircraft used for long-haul flights.

Delta received most of the Airbus A330 airliners at the end of October 2008, as a result of the merger with Northwest Airlines. That year, the company's fleet was replenished with thirty-two aircraft models -200 and -300. Only seven years later, in 2015, Delta began expanding its A330 fleet, and the first of them was the aircraft with registration N822NW, pictured on our poster. It is noteworthy that the registration numbers of the new aircraft retained the ending "NW", inherited from Northwest. The average age of the airline's A330-300 is 16.1 years. Today, Airbus A330 aircraft continue to arrive in the company's fleet, but these are new-generation A330-900 aircraft.

Delta operates the A330-300 primarily on routes to Europe. Major European cities such as London, Paris and Amsterdam are among the company's busiest destinations.

The history of Singapore Airlines began in 1972 when it separated from Malaysia-Singapore Airlines, inheriting just a few Boeing 707s and 737-100s. Since then, the company has grown and developed successfully. By the 1980s, Singapore Airlines was setting the tone in the industry, introducing innovations such as in-flight entertainment systems and satellite phones, which seemed like science fiction at the time. From its earliest days, however, Singapore Airlines placed a strong emphasis on a modern fleet and high crew training standards, laying the foundation for the reputation it proudly upholds to this day.

Singapore Airlines’ modern fleet is carefully selected to best align with the company’s goals. The average age of its aircraft is around 8 years, making it one of the youngest fleets in the world. The five types of aircraft operated by the company include long-haul Boeing 777-300ER, 787-10, Airbus A380, and A350-900, as well as short-haul Boeing 737-8 MAX.

The star of the fleet, however, is undoubtedly the A350-900, which Singapore Airlines has actively operated since the model’s commercial debut in 2015. This modern long-haul aircraft has become a key part of the carrier’s fleet, serving medium- and long-range routes. In Singapore Airlines’ configuration, the A350-900 accommodates 253 passengers and offers three classes of service.

The aircraft stands out for its exceptional fuel efficiency, thanks to advanced technologies such as the use of composite materials and Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, which were specifically designed for this model. Singapore Airlines deploys the A350-900 on routes such as Singapore to Amsterdam and Singapore to Cape Town, among others, highlighting its reliability. Today, the airline is one of the largest operators of this model, underscoring its commitment to innovation.
