As the founding FX tattoo artist @fauxtattoostudios people often ask me if I've done tats on a lot of celebs and they always ask who's my favorite. My answer is "Yes I've done quite a few of them but my favorite celeb is you". 🥰 Honestly I love my everyday clients more than a celebrity client because everyday people truly appreciate what I do for them- even if it's an elaborate prank which is my specialty here @tatbarlasvegas and I get the chance to touch their lives which make me happy. Real people are why we do this work. They visit our studio from all over the world, Dubai to Canada (Houston in this instance) and they bring their tattoo ideas (for fun or for a true test drive) and I make their fantasy into reality. It's a fantasy tattoo. It's ephemeral time based art. It is not meant to last. It's a dream come true. In reality it's a finely tuned makeup application. I have trained my eye and my hand to replicate tattoos in every detail. I've trained myself to accept any artistic style and depict it as a believable tattoo perfectly. Even if it's an imperfect tattoo, like a WW2 sailor's tattoo, I can put ink down that would make a tattoo artist proud. Those WW2 sailor tattoos are just as interesting to me as a pretty #hibiscustattoo like this but in those cases it's really about the character wearing it. In this case it's just a pretty tattoo for a pretty lady who wanted a pretty tattoo to test drive. It's my understanding of the old sailor's tattoo and how it ages inside the skin that I am able to make a pretty tattoo look real. Today and everyday I appreciate how much I love my job because it's totally unique and also I carved it into being because that's what I wanted to do with my artistic ability.
