Starting an Airbnb business doesn't have to be as complicated as people make it out to be. In fact, it all boils down to just 4 simple steps. Here's a breakdown: Step #1: Get an LLC. This is a legal structure that will protect your personal assets in case something goes wrong with your Airbnb business. It's relatively easy and affordable to set up and it's a must-have for any serious Airbnb business. Step #2: Get a bank account. This is important because it separates your personal finances from your Airbnb business finances. Plus, it makes it easier to manage your Airbnb business finances and file taxes. Step #3: Connect Your Bank Account. Connect your Bank account to Airbnb - it handles all the payment processing for you. Step #4: Find a gap in the Airbnb market and exploit it. This is the most important step, because it's the whole point of starting an Airbnb business. It's all about providing value to your guests and solving their problems. All an Airbnb business really is is a solution to someone else’s problem. Starting an Airbnb business doesn't have to be hard, it can be simple. You don’t need to be an expert in any field to make it happen. All you need is a great idea, a plan to execute it and a willingness to learn as you go. If you're thinking about starting an Airbnb business or you already have one, don't let fear or confusion hold you back. These 4 steps are a great starting point to build a solid foundation for your Airbnb business. Interested in launching your own Airbnb business? Paid for a room for 3 nights but then cancelled the request - why have I not been refunded yet?
Moved to a new city last week and had a hotel for the first 4 nights. I thought I could move into permanent accommodation at the weekend but it wasn't ready yet, so on Friday night I had to find a place to stay for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night at the very last minute. I decided to go down the Airbnb route for financial purposes.Found a good room in a good location and went to book it. It rejected my credit and debit card on a couple of occasions, for whatever reason, so I set up a PayPal account. The Visa Debit transaction went through on PayPal, and overall it cost €180. By noon the next day the person had not accepted my request. I obviously had to find a place to stay, so I booked one more night in the hotel I was staying in. So I cancelled the AirBnB request, and was told on the website that I would get a full refund for any cancelled request. Now, time for a disclaimer. I set up my AirBnB through my Facebook, which is linked to an old e-mail address I haven't used in years. Furthermore, that e-mail address is linked to an old phone number which I don't have access to any more. I can't remember the password, and have tried numerous ways to access it but can't. Therefore I can't access any correspondence with the website. All I have is an e-mail linked to my PayPal account which says I authorised a payment of €180 to AirBnBPayments UK Limited. Then when I click on the transaction I.D., it brings me to PayPal and shows a line across the €180 figure with an (i) below saying "the temporary authorisation was canceled and your payment method wasn't charged'.I am just not sure where I stand at the moment - Will I be getting a full re-fund, and if so, how long should it take? Thanks in advance!
