Look... compared to your siblings- out of my extensive history with him, I know you can at least respect that, he's never changed. We've tried to get him to change, he's faked changing to take advantage of us, but nothing has ever stuck. You can't blame Metal for trusting the data. He's gone good before, both to the rest of the world, and just to his kids. But he always goes back.

You- you're special to eggman, that's for sure. But in that- I'll give you the argument. You are Robotnik's favorite. You're... privileged compared to your siblings. You haven't had to deal with the horrors that he imposes upon them. And sure- maybe I think that he has the right to do that as a parent. That doesn't mean i don't think it sucks.

But you're disowning your brother because he trusts in years worth of data and truama from the doctor. In all honestly, if I had a sibling like you growing up, I'd react the same exact way. You don't know what he's going through, or what he has gone though. All you know is the Eggman you're seeing now. You felt uncomfortable using that at first, but it was the right word. You're privileged.

And sure, you could be the chosen one. You could switch up years of data and make it happen with a miracle. But don't cut off your brother for not believing. Don't rub in his face that you're the favorite, or that you've never gotten beat. That just rubs salt in a very bad wound, ok?

He isnt giving up for the sake of it, he's given up as a defense mechanism.

The last conversation I had with him, he mentioned that he wasn't interested in receiving a gift, at least one from me.

Uhhhh, I don't really get gifts other than kid things from my friends, although Sonic would find some cool scraps for me on random occasions. Maybe if you found some good parts for him- or I know he's big on nostalgia from time to time- go through his old files, maybe build one of his first robots.

Sage- that's what you're doing to Metal. He may not believe you can do it, but that isn't because he is choosing to be in disbelief. He's protecting himself. You're shutting out his issues by only focusing on your father's. You need to prove him wrong, not cut him off.

Sage- please. I'm sorry- I believe you can do it- I truly do- I just don't want to see Metal loose one of the last people he's close to because you're only focused on one goal. He's already broken over how your father is doing, and loosing Tails Doll. I don't know how much more he can loose, and I'm not willing to find out. I believe you can do it but without hurting your brother. He just needs time to adjust.
