Ahmed Soultan s'apprête à conquérir la pop internationale

Artiste marocain ayant déjà attiré l’attention de grands noms du milieu, Ahmed Soultan a peut-être trouvé la recette miracle qui mélange mode et tradition

Rapidement remarqué et invité par la BBC, nommé aux MTV VMAs et détenteur d’un European Music Award (toujours donné par la chaîne de télé musicale américaine), Ahmed Soultan est un chanteur marocain, tête de proue du mouvement Afrobian, un mélange de musiques africaines et à consonances arabiques. Non content d’en être le précurseur, Ahmed Soultan s’est également attiré les faveurs de rappeurs mondialement connus comme Ne-Yo, avec qui il signera « Amazing You » et « I Don’t Wanna Die ». En 2019, il revient avec un nouveau projet, en solo cette fois, et vient tout juste de présenter un premier extrait.

Sur « Draw My Life », son dernier single, Ahmed Soultan chante tour à tour en arabe, en anglais et en français : comment ne pas mieux définir la recette du chanteur, qui n’a manifestement pas peur de mélanger avec fierté ses origines, ses racines, avec le plus petit dénominateur commun du r’n’b ?
