7⁾ the first port in a new land after weeks at sea trying to get there
(Achilles)
To say the Forgemaster had chosen a rather unorthodox method of traveling to his destination was an understatement to Ana. Normally towering over her as all Astartes did, the former Iron Warrior had seemingly been shrunken to a truly diminutive size, more than comfortably able to sit in the palm of her hand. And what was more? He had traveled inside the shell of a nut. Across a vast stretch of sea, on his own.
“Well you’ve certainly made an entrance Achilles.” Ana stated matter-of-factly as she now crouched over him, gazing down on him like an Imperator class titan. “What brings you to traveling in such a way?”

Ana went back out to help tend to the group’s own wounded, at some point completely forgetting about her own injury. The missionaries were, as far as she was concerned, dead meat. Their fates would likely end up being a gruesome one in the end. They would never see Imperial space again and for her part, she washed her hands of them.
With well practiced hands, she offered what healing she could in the moment. Her biomancy, though potent, currently did not seem to be particularly interested in co-operating.
❛ YO HOLY SHIT HE DEAD ! ❜ (iconic vines meme)
(some-old-psyker) (Noel)
Noel turned around fast to see what was going on. He'd been in the middle of a conversation with Lady Tylaere when Ana's scream cut through the air. The first thing he noticed was Lord Astelan Mercier lying flat in the floor with foam around his mouth. "Ana, did you check his vitals? He might still be alive."
Some of the party guests were screaming at the spectacle. None of them were expecting someone to be murdered during the anniversary of the end of the civil war. The priest sighed as he took two ibuprofen pills from his pocket and downed them with spring water. He could feel a headache coming.

"it’s incredible, and i’m mad about it." (Noel, feel free to have this start the psyker rescue rp)
“Couldn’t agree more. I need to do something. Been feeling restless.” She wasn’t sure if it was the Star Child giving her a nudge or the fact she had been thinking back to a horrible public burning she saw once some years ago but she was beginning to feel the need to commit crimes and heresies against the Imperium again, and what better way to do so than saving people from its bloody and iron grip? “What say you Noel?” She raised an inviting eyebrow.

☢️ (Achilles, he, Ana and Jenny are exploring dark age of technology ruins.)
The long dead hive soared high into the clouds before them. The colossal arcology’s geometric structure looked nothing like the titanic gothic edifices of Imperial hive cities but its design instead hinted at something far older, to a time long before even the Age of Strife.
Even from here Ana could see the vast gaping holes that now marred what must have once been a sleek exterior.
Wind and dust battered her form and she wrapped the scarf around her nose and mouth tighter. The glassy dust attempting entry into her eyes and lungs made her glad that she and Jenny had both worn goggles and face scarves among other things. Her duster jacket flapped in the wind behind her, revealing flak armor.
Jenny wore a weather-worn and Ogryn-sized jacket beneath heavy body armor. Over her shoulder was slung an intimidating looking Thunderstrike claw hammer instead of her usual ripper gun.

"Let's just… not come in tomorrow." (Achilles)
“That’s the understatement of the century. I don’t think you guys are going to have that cogitator for a while.” Ana picked herself up and grunted in pain.

"I recognize that [Lord Roger Castellio] has made a decision. But given that it's a stupid-ass decision I've elected to ignore it."
(Achilles)
“What in the blessed Star Child’s name is that man thinking!” Ana exclaimed. “It’s like he’s trying to fuck himself!”

⛓️ (Akhen)
“Come to punish me once more Akhen?” Ana asked with a flirtatious side glance. Despite her bound and vulnerable state, the perpetual did not feel in any way threatened, in fact quite the opposite.

"Hi?" "Why is there a dog in my bed?" (Akhen)
Ana froze for a moment, then “oh crap….”
She swiftly picked up the little bundle of black and white fur who squirmed excitedly in her arms, wagging its tail incessantly and trying to lick her face. “No, no kisses please.” She told the creature as she took it out of the room. A short time later she came back. “I’m sorry about that I thought she was in her night kennel.”

Ana has become a follower of The Star Child in recent years though as a recent convert she’s still trying to figure out what that looks like in the long term. In the meantime she’s throwing herself into things such as local volunteer work and biochemical research for medicines for the populace (as well as poisons for foes who would threaten her work).

“That we shall see…..” Ana wanted to find any psychic foci or weapons the psyker might’ve had. A thorough search produced a new staff covered in intricate designs, a warded knife, a poppet doll and a small notebook. Ana checked the body over to make sure she wasn’t missing anything. “Right then, shopping trip done. I literally can’t carry anything else. Let’s go.”
"So tell me, who was the one responsible for this?" Noel looked at the scorched hills. In his younger years he'd been an awful person, though he no longer was that kind of man. He'd only been an asshole to those who deserved it. Which was why he couldn't fathom why would someone destroy his property.
Ana glared back towards the damage before closing her eyes, her brow furrowed in concentration as she sought the answer to this query. Eventually she opened them. “Pirates apparently. They came here looking for items with power and they burned and plundered everything in their wake. They had psykers with them.” The perpetual couldn’t tell for certain what the greedy bastards intended with these items but knowing their kind it wasn’t anything good.

🙈 YOUR MUSE jumping out on MY MUSE to scare them. (Noel, happy halloween starters meme)
“Hello there!” Ana’s cheerful voice suddenly and without any warning whatsoever sounded behind the Druid where previously there had been seemingly nothing. “How goes the night?” There is a sloppy grin and a slight scent of alcohol to indicate she is probably a little tipsy.

for the other soul: how does it feel to share a body with Ana?
Ana suddenly freezes as her eyes go blank and roll back in her head, which then drops limply into her chest for a moment before slowly raising once more. Her eyes are still amber but now much brighter and resemble a reptile’s slit pupils. As she begins to speak it is clear her voice has changed drastically and now comes out as a forced and broken whisper. The air around her feels colder and darker, almost like the inside of a cave or a tomb…
“The creature…asks me…question….very well..Ana….and I….have…shared this…form…for….many millennia….” It murmers. “Twin-Souled One….neverborn call ussssss….God-Shard….many more…”
“It is….like dream…I see everything…hear everything…feel everything…she does…except when…not want to..” not-Ana visibly blushes at some memory and scratches the back of her neck. “Except….no control…not directly…does as she does…would be in…control more…but…exhausting…”
“Must go…now.” It concludes. “Must…sleep once more….”
Ana’s head repeats the previous actions before quickly popping back up once more, eyes human again, if a bit bloodshot. Blood begins to trickle out of her nose and she suddenly looks very pale
“Whew! Well I hope that answers your question! Now if you’ll excuse me….”
She leaps out of her seat and moments later the sound of vomiting can be heard from the bathroom.

Ana observered the scene for a moment longer. She opened her witch-sight though; other than very faint and rapidly fading miasma, there was nothing more there. The souls that had been trapped here had indeed moved on. She said a quick prayer for the souls penance before turning back to Achilles. “Let’s get out of here. Don’t want to come back in a million years.”
"I never expected to be back in here. I thought I had left this place behind, but apparently its ghosts aren't done with me." Achilles looked at the prison's ruins. Oprichnina was a penal world located in a far away corner of the Segmentun Obscurus. An ideal place to dump anyone who opposed imperial rule, from the ruthless criminal to the devoted schoolteacher. Every single one of them would live out the rest of their days in the soul crushing prison.
Though under any other circumstances Achilles would have felt kinship with them due to his descent from penal legionnaires, fate had decided he would become an Iron Warrior. And as such he had seen everyone as disposable, including his own companions.
He did not have any qualms to join his mates in dumping a mutagenic xenos toxin on Oprichnina. The 19th Grand Company needed a source of mass produced cheap cannon fodder, and the penal world supplied that. The toxin changed its inhabitants into hyperviolent fiends equipped with appendages capable of rending a man limb by limb. The perfect fit for any chaos group who wanted to attack the Imperium.
Though a daemonkin warband would have filled the same role, none of the warpsmiths of the Harbingers of Ash cult of destruction wanted to suffer the tender mercies of its Master of Possession. They had already had a lot of bad experiences with the mistress of The Crushing Wheel, Hecate Soulkiller.
Another benefit was the mutated prisoners were theirs to do as they pleased. Including whipping them into compliance. Achilles himself was guilty of that. They had meant nothing to him. Just bodies meant for the grinder.
Which now put him in the uncomfortable position of having to face the ghosts of his victims. And they were out for blood. You deserve it. You killed them., said the accusatory voice at the back of his head.
"Well, I suppose we should get going. Better not keep the ghosts waiting, aye?"

Ana gazed at the foreboding edifice before her with a look of relatively uncharacteristic trepidation. There was a very palpable energy here, oppressive, hostile, angry. It seemed to glare back at them with the rage of being contained for ages, waiting for it’s day of retribution. She could feel the tingling on the back of her neck and the distant, susurrant whispers at the back of her mind.
The psyker-perpetual took a moment to strengthen her mental wards and to whisper a small prayer of protection to The Other Soul. It stirred at her words as she looked down at the various other wards and fetishes she adorned her carapace armor with. In her hands she wielded a bolter and a force staff.
“Alright, let’s get on with it.”
