#ahh the suburbian dream

Living in the suburbs is occasionally very funny.

These guys showed up this morning and started moving everyone's trash cans onto the sidewalk - my wife was like ??? today is trash day wtf is going on

Then two huge trucks showed up and I went huh maybe they're moving some of the construction stuff near here? I watch a lady approach one of the trucks, then go out on the balcony

"they're not repaving the road, are they?" I shout down at her

She looks up and goes "yeah, they are. They just said they're going to tow all these cars on the side of the road and I got pissed at them because none of us were notified!! Did u guys get a notice?"

and I said. No. What. What??

For context, the parking where we live is abysmal. Lots of people park on the street bc there is literally no other legal option, and you'd better believe they tow you

so I run out and move my car so I'm not stuck in my driveway for. y'know. when I need to go to work

anyway it is now several hours later and I am watching a shouting match between these road guys and several residents bc someone needed to leave their driveway. Crazy, right? And just. Drove right over the new asphalt. Hell yeah
