Dear Mommie, I made this for you from some of the many memories we’ve shared over the years. You have not only been my grandmother, you were my best friend and I don’t know what I would have done if you weren’t with me while my mom was serving in the @usarmy abroad and my dad was, well being himself. You took care of me, taught me how to defend myself, laugh at myself, love myself and others, & how to see the beauty in the world around me. You talked to me about God when I had questions about what I learned in Church, School, & the World. You taught me how to cook and make a home out of the simplest of environments. There was nothing I couldn’t speak to you about when I needed advice even when I was in trouble. You encouraged me to believe in my myself & my dreams even when I didn’t, believe in them or myself. You’re the most amazing woman I know and I will never, ever forget you.
