Thanks to an amazing group of people who are also participating in a social media visibility challenge as part of our involvement in the WEALTH program created by @carolynelliott_ my Instagram has a lot of new followers. So, a refresher introduction is in order. My name is Zayda Fleming. I am an artist and an aesthetically motivated person. I primarily work with ink and watercolors but I am planning on experimenting with acrylic paint in the near future. I was raised in a conservative Christian setting but left that path about 5 years ago. I am a feminist. I believe Black Lives Matter. I believe that the history we are taught in this country is heavily skewed by white supremacy, white fragility, and white exceptionalism in the curriculum. I am also a bookworm with a particular obsession with Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, and an anime fan. I have 3 tattoos and I definitely want more. As some of you may have read in previous post descriptions, I have anxiety, mild depression, a wonderful cat, a supportive partner, and a desire to embody my fullest self.
