In this line, Masha Ru has developed and participated in projects where art, science, and spirituality come together, like 'Unborn babies that rule the world' (2014) and 'Big Cosmic Data' (2016), in collaboration with Branly López from Guatemala, as well as Tijtse Boersma, Louwrien Wijers, Jeanette Groenendaal from the Netherlands within Age of Wonderland programme. During this project, hundreds of people were invited to provide dates from present, future or past that they find important. All the dates were converted into the Cholq'ij Calendar, aiming to identify, if it is possible, the Awas/Karma of Eindhoven, Netherlands. Masha Ru is in Guatemala with the aim of continuing her investigation supporting Branly López's search about the Cholq'ij, as well as exchange experiences. In this talk, Masha Ru will share her work as an artist, looking to recognizing the cultural diversity of the country and link similitudes with Russian and Dutch cultures. The trip of Masha Ru to Guatemala is made possible with the support of Mondriaan Fund and Stichting Gerbrandy Cultuurfonds. December, 13. 6:30 pm.
