yknow whats funny? people never really push the "oh theyre just friends" or the "theyre so sibling coded" when its a gay ship. i've definitely seen some people do it, but not often
the genshin fandom (and a few others) do this wild reverse homophobia thing where the straight ships get all the hate. its so weird and mildly impressive.
but thats besides the point. the caption is just one of the most incorrect things ive ever seen.
literally just a few videos up, someone commented that if kinilani was a gay ship people would love it, and they wouldnt say that theyre "sibling coded" and "just friends" (no hate if you do think that, i respect everyones opinions, as long as they arent weird). everyone in the replies to that comment agreed.
lets take a popular ship and use it as an example: kavetham.
if one of the two were a girl, i dont think a lot of people would ship kavetham. they would have the same dynamic, the same dialogue, absolutely nothing about their story would change. only the fandom's opinion.
what is some peoples issue with straight ships? i dont care what you ship, as long as its legal and not toxic.
