"You good?"
"Yeah? Why wouldn't I be?" You look up at Kentarō with a blink. The paper plate you'd been loading with food, is placed onto the end of the buffet table. "Is something wrong?"
The evening has been so nice—as far as you know. It's just a small cook out within the Sendai Frogs group. Tsukishima had surprisingly offered his backyard, and Koganegawa managed to procure a grill from somewhere. Daisho and Mika brought a generous amount of meat while you brought the veggies and rice. Yamaguchi and Yachi are going to arrive a little later with watermelon and booze (as an apology for having to work regular nine to five jobs). Tsukishima's older brother is in attendance as is his girlfriend(?) Saeko—she insists everyone call her by her given name.
There's laughter, music and good food. Everything is as it should be. So why does Kentarō look... anxious?
"Nevermind." He shakes his head as if to clear it. "Eat, go grab a chair."
You nod, picking up your plate and eyeing him as you go to sit. You find an empty spot next to Mika. Daisho just got transferred into the team from the Tamaden Elephants. Apparently he and Kuroo go way back. You can hear Tsukishima complaining about him with Daisho providing enthusiastic support.
You fight to keep a grin off your face and you end up catching Mika's eye. "Tsukishima's favorite pastime is shit talking."
"Oh, I'd call it Suguru's hobby!" You both laugh. "How long have you and Kyotani been together?"
Is this what Kentarō is worried about? Mika isn't the least bit scary. "Since highschool graduation actually. He confessed to me after the ceremony."
"Oh, so you two went to the same school!"
"Nah, I went to Date Tech—I was the manager of the volleyball team. Kentarō and I met through a local gym that had volleyball nights. Then our teams played against one another." You raise a cup in Koganegawa's direction, he promptly drops what he is doing to wave back—spilling water all down his front. Mika laughs again but you just sigh. "He skipped his own graduation ceremony just so he could cheer me on at mine."
"Wow! That's so romantic!" She sighs dreamily. "That'll be a good story for your kids, huh?"
Ah. Of course, you think, they wouldn't know. "Kentarō and I aren't going to have kids."
"Huh?"
You shrug, forcing nonchalance into your expression. "We talked about it and decided we're good as we are. We've gotten quite a bit of grief from our families about it too."
You don't look at Mika, not wanting to be disappointed. You like her, you don't want to give up being her friend. A hand falls on your shoulder. You meet her gaze, it's firm. "It's your business. A child is not a decision to be made lightly."
Relief, cool and sweet, sweeps through your bones. A smile blooms across your features. "My thoughts exactly."
You search for Kentarō, finding him rolling his eyes at Koganegawa's wet shirt. You barely have to stare at him for more than a second before he snaps his gaze over to you. You hold the contact, giving him a gentle wave. He signs to you, all good?
Yes, you sign back, all good.

⌗ around this hour keishin probably just got off of work at sakanoshita's, so you offered to help with closing the shop up cuz you wanted him home faster🤲
⌗ tbh he didn't really want you helping him since some tasks were difficult and he had a set routine for how he did things
⌗ he bit his tongue whenever you tried to put things away and always waited at least two minutes for you to move to the next thing to fix it all over again LMAOOOO
⌗ but he really appreciated the help and above all, the company💞
⌗ finally the two of you left and ukai managed to salvage two remaining pork buns that he'd bake a few hours ago for the boys. naturally, he kept one for himself and gave the other to you while you on the walk home.
⌗ he was telling a few stories on the way and making jokes about his days in karasuno as a setter when you suddenly turned to him, eyes shining with endearment and a little bit from the moonlight.
⌗ you had heaved the softest of sighs before leaning onto his shoulder, chuckling almost absentmindedly. "ahh, i love you." — lemme tell you the man was speechless but hella thankful that you didn't peer up from the ground to see his expression.
➫ 𝓓𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨 𝓢𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗨 ୨୧ ˎˊ˗
⌗ MALL DATE CUZ I SAW SUMN CUTE IN HAIKYUU BŪ!! WITH HIM AND MIKA LMAO
⌗ so you'd both be finishing up on your shopping and it's around eight — which is when the mall closes ( dunno if it's like this in japan, but definitely in the states ), and you're both on your way out
⌗ he'd be carrying most of the bags while you're finishing up the rest of the milkshake he got you, and it's when the moonlight struck him that you realized how lucky you were
⌗ he may be the pettiest person on his team and get into dumb banters with nekoma's captain, but he was the love of your life regardless. the one that you love and cared for so dearly, who brought you happiness like no other man or woman could
⌗ he was there every minute, every call, every hangout; every moment, he was there for you no matter how happy or sad you were.
⌗ "suguru?" you'd call out finally and he'd hum, peering over at you with a tired smile. "what is it, my love?"
⌗ "i love you so much, thank you for today," you smiled softly, leaning in to peck his cheek quickly, which left him a flustered mess- oh boy..
➫ 𝓢𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝓓𝗔𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗜 ୨୧ ˎˊ˗
⌗ it's just about two minutes before he had to line up for his match against shiratorizawa; the air had been tense and you were very much aware of his anxiety
⌗ who wouldn't be anxious? as a third year, it was do or die to get into nationals and as a captain, he couldn't bare being the one to let his team down, not after declaring to them that they would make it to nationals.
⌗ you noticed his nervous demeanor and gently, you approached his tensed form, crouching down in front of him while he sat on the bench as you reached out for his hands
⌗ gently you cradled them both in your own, placing a kiss at the top before looking up at him, catching the blush spreading across his tanned cheeks.
⌗ "you're gonna do great, you know that?" you'd ask, tracing his fingers gently with your own while he nodded slowly.
⌗ his lips had parted to make a remark and you shushed him with a quick kiss, laughing softly when his cheeks darkened profusely.
⌗ "i love you daichi, good luck out there, i'll be cheering you on as loud as i can!" you proclaimed before standing back up and running off to the stands, waving him off enthusiastically while he stood there, utterly flabbergasted. but what you didn't catch was the soft smile that formed on his lips🥺

the last thing you’d ever expect would happen to you was atsumu asking you out.
the miya atsumu, the guy who seemed to never have anything other than volleyball on his mind.
though it was a shock to you, you reluctantly agreed, as you did have a tiny crush on the setter.
and it was fun— but only for the first few months.
somewhere along the line, everytime you’d ask him to go out, it was always, “oh i have practice,” or “i’m really tired from practice.”
practice, practice, practice.
you knew well even before you dated that he was extremely dedicated to volleyball, and that he was freakishly good at it.
yet you really couldn’t help but think,
what if he just doesn’t want to hang out with me anymore?
what if he just got bored and can’t bring himself to break up?
you tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. you tried to subdue the thoughts of insecurity that were slowly eating you alive.
until one day, you just broke.
“were you and atsumu actually dating in the first place? i don’t think i’ve ever seen you two together.” a classmate of yours accused.
“yeah y/n, i bet it was just a lie just to make us all jealous!”
“that’s so shallow of you.”
“i didn’t know y/n was that type of person.”
the revolting glares that all your classmates gave you was more than enough to validate your assumptions.
it was enough to make you feel as though atsumu was really playing with you all along.
your stomach churned and you already felt the tears welling up in your eyes.
you didn’t even know what you did wrong.
was it your fault that atsumu couldn’t make time for you?
no. no it wasn’t.
so why did you have to become the villain?
why were you responsible for the fact that miya atsumu was an absolute jerk?
it really didn’t matter to you anymore.
so that evening, you broke up with him, erasing the world that was once your everything for the last six months.
you tried distracting yourself— immersing yourself in studying, grinding games until sunrise, hanging out with friends, reading books.
seeing as you weren’t phased by the thought of him, you thought you moved on.
seriously.
so how did you end up in front of the tokyo metropolitan gymnasium?
perhaps it was fate that you’d be in tokyo during the time of nationals. though you wouldn’t know, as you didn’t keep up with what the volleyball club did.
perhaps it was fate that you’d see a flyer for the spring national high school volleyball tournament on your walk around the huge city.
you could try blaming it on fate, but there’s no denying the reaction you had— the way your face lit up and how your heart beat faster.
as you were mentally debating on whether you should go in or not, you heard an awfully familiar voice.
“yn-san?”
tsu— no, osamu. it was clear from the way he referred to you.
he was the closest one to atsumu, so you guessed that he probably knew you already broke up with his brother and tried to come off nonchalant. “oh, hi.“
“what are you doing here in tokyo?” it wasn’t obvious, but after spending quite a bit of time with the twins, you could tell he was trying to not be awkward with you aswell.
“just a work trip.” you responded straightforwardly. there was no reason to lie.
“ah, i see.”
as osamu’s efforts went in vain, awkward silence came as the both of you struggled to find something to talk about.
“well—“
“you should come watch us play!” he cut you off.“what a coincidence that you’re here on the day we have our first match.”
osamu really was not the type to say that type of stuff. rather, this was atsumu’s sort of thing.
ignoring the subtle ache in your heart, you hummed and nodded. “sure, that sounds fun.”
the grey-haired boy in front of you exhaled in relief before giving you lazy smile.
“cool! see you later then.” he sent you a wave and bid farewell.
it seemed like a huge weight was lifted off his mind at the end, which you were a bit confused about, but quickly brushed it off since that wasn’t the main focus to you.
you just promised your ex’s brother that you were going to go watch them play volleyball— which was the root of the problem that caused you two to split in the first place.
it’s also the first time in two weeks that you’re going to see atsumu.
the closest word you could use to describe how you were feeling was anticipation. nervous, of course, but you very much wanted to see what was keeping atsumu so busy all the time, and how he could love a sport more than anyone else in the world. ouch
you hesitantly walk into the gym, peeking around like a meerkat as you quickly scan your surroundings.
you landed your gaze on the current tournament standings and timetable.
inarizaki vs karasuno…?
pursing your lips and tightening the grip on your backpack, you follow the sign and make your way up on the bleachers, familiar faces appearing the closer you get.
the court was bigger than you expected it to be, and there were definitely more people, too. everyone was warming up, looking like they were getting ready to start soon.
#7, miya atsumu was the first one up to serve. the cheerful music of the band grew louder, until your ex shut them up completely with a mere clench of his fist.
the sound of the two girls squealing amidst the total silence didn’t bother you at all.
because you were too focused on watching tsumu serve.
and you were, speechless.
maybe it was just you, but you felt as though the ball could’ve shook the whole gym as it impacted the ground.
you shuddered at the thought of having to receive that vigorous of a serve, and subconsciously scooted a bit forward on the seat you occupied.
the match passed in a blink of the eye. you didn’t even realize that it had already been over an hour since you arrived.
unfortunately, inarizaki did end up losing, though it didn’t really matter to you. their emotions and drive to win the game were conveyed earnestly, even if you resided in the bleachers way above them, and that itself felt like a win in your books.
maybe it was too late to say, you finally understood why atsumu was so hellbent on volleyball. why his club, and this sport, became such a significant part of his life.
the regret of not having seen atsumu ever play any games earlier came crashing down on you.
perhaps it was selfish of you to be feeling like this after acting all high and mighty that evening. what would you even say to him now? heck, what did you even want?
…you weren’t sure.
but the only thing that repeated in your head was that you needed to find him. this instant.
because communication is key in relationships, and that’s why you didn’t work out.
the clacking sound of your shoes hastily hitting the ground echoed through the empty hallways as you tried to navigate your way through the giant building.
honestly, you had no idea where the inarizaki team would be after their game, but if you wandered around enough, surely you’d see them around, right?
wrong. it’s been twenty minutes now and all you’ve been doing is going around in circles.
it probably would’ve been a much better idea to have stayed in the gym and watched where the team left off, but you were too distracted to think clearly at the time.
however, just as you were able to give up, you saw a familiar tuft of blonde hair walk past a corridor. it looked like he was walking with a teammate. springing back onto your feet, you quickly fixed your hair and followed after it, walking as fast as you could.
you trailed them through a few more corridors until halting abruptly around a corner when you noticed they stopped. there was no way you’re going to make a fool out of yourself here, so you stood there against the wall, the beating of your heart heightening every second.
it sounded like he was talking to someone about something, but it was inaudible to you as you were more focused on not making any noise. suddenly, the sound cut and you heard footsteps walking away.
pressing your lips together nervously, you slowly peeked your head out.
atsumu was sitting alone, head in his hands, mumbling on about something, before suddenly raising his head and glaring intensely at the wall. you jumped a little at his sudden movement, thinking that he might’ve noticed you, but slowly calmed yourself down as you braced yourself to go approach him.
he was probably really frustrated about the game, seeing as he didn’t realize you were right there until you sat down next to him.
“i— y/n?!” he choked, moving his whole body a bit back in surprise.
“hi tsumu, you finally noticed me.” you smiled sheepishly, wanting to tease the boy though it wasn’t quite the right time.
you could make out the tiniest flush of red on atsumu’s face at the call of his nickname. he shifted his gaze back to the wall and muttered quietly. “…what are you doing in tokyo…?”
seriously, who let him be this cute?
“you know, your brother and i had this exact same conversation earlier,” you laughed with a twinkle of endearment.
he turned his head back to face you in shock as you mentioned his twin.
“what the heck, that idiot ‘samu saw you and had the audacity to not tell me?” he complained, pout forming on his face. “ack, i’m gonna go teach him a good lesson when we get home…”
atsumu was expecting you to laugh and tell him off like you always did when he bickered with osamu, but you stayed silent, a smile remaining on your face.
he averted his gaze again though his body was still facing you. he wasn’t sure what to do in this situation, since he never expected he would see you of all people here.
“listen,” you started nervously. you wondered if this was the right choice, but it was too late to back out now. “i saw your game earlier, and geniunely, i thought you looked really, really cool.”
atsumu’s tensed lips relaxed, but too much to the point where he was starting to frown. you panicked as you knew where this was going and shoved your hand over his mouth. his eyes widened as he stared at you dumbfounded.
“don’t even mention it!” you warned, pout appearing on your face to match his. “it was a really good game, okay! i’m not even a sports person but i still got hooked in.”
he remained silent as if he was processing all your information like a robot.
you took that as a sign to continue before he could make a retort. “and i’m sorry, i’m really, really, really! sorry! that i doubted you just because you focused on your club a lot.”
hot breath tickled your palm as atsumu let out a soft chuckle. “you seriously don’t have another word to use than ‘really’, do you?”
you felt your face heat up and you pressed your hand against his face a bit more firmly in embarrassment, making sure he won’t utter any more nonsense.
“t-that’s not the main focus here! just listen,” it was now your turn to shift your gaze over awkwardly. “i just wanted to say that i’m sorry for being such a bad girlfriend and never coming to watch your games, or practice to be honest. i cannot believe i missed out on so much of your life while expecting you to be there for me at the same time too.”
“and i’m not saying this just to immediately get back together again, but rather because i think i really hurt you with my insensitive actions, so you don’t have to forgive me until—“
before you could continue, atsumu grabbed the wrist of the hand that was on his mouth and pulled you closer to him, wrapping his free arm around your shoulders and gently resting his head on the side of yours.
you flinched from the sudden contact, heartrate probably going over 100 miles per hour, but slowly stopped tensing up as you felt a light pat on your back.
“you don’t have to apologize that much, it’s not like i was the best boyfriend to you either.” atsumu spoke, voice almost as soft as a whisper. he leaned his head on yours slightly further in attempt to give you reassurance. “i’m already overjoyed just from the fact you came to watch me play, even if we did lose.”
if you were in an anime, the scene that would be playing right now to describe your mental state would be you frolicking around in a sunny meadow, butterflies fluttering everything, flowers in their full bloom, animals peacefully sleeping around, a moment of complete pure bliss.
your heart was doing somersaults, and you thought that steam would erupt out of your ears from how much you were blushing. the only thing you could get of your mouth was a small hum, yet that was enough for the boy to understand.
atsumu giggled quietly at how adorable he thought you were, embracing you with both arms now and resting his head on your shoulder as he listened to the sound of your heartbeat.
you mimicked his actions shyly, moving your arms to wrap around his torso.
“…you still smell like sweat by the way.” you mumbled into his chest.
your ex—or maybe now boyfriend again—lifted his head to let out a sincere laugh and squeezed you into his hold even tighter just to tease you as you jokingly squirmed around.
the small empty corridor filled itself with the sounds of laughter and the comfort of two immature teenagers. the two of you stayed there together for quite a while, losing track of time just in each other’s presences.
“‘tsumu?” you spoke up.
atsumu hummed in response, fatigue finally hitting him from the long game he had earlier.
“i missed you.”

could I plz get a daishou verson of she's busy... b-but can it be the opposite way round? s-so mika is the ex and constantly pestering him and were busy with him? *twiddles fingers nervously*
“Sorry, He’s Busy” (Daishou Suguru)
Warnings: Smut
—
Just wanna say this request is fucking immaculate
But okay okay
Mika broke up with Daishou because of how much time he spent on club activities
And this boy was crushed so the break up began affecting him during practice
So as the teams manager you took it upon yourself to help him move on, both because he was your friend and because he needed to get ready for the spring playoffs
But oh, look at that
The two of you ended up catching ✨feelings✨
Daishou also found that it was much easier to balance a relationship and club activities when you were apart of those activities
And so your relationship quickly became stronger than Daishou and Mika’s relationship ever was
However Mika was having a difficult time moving on herself
She hadn’t realized you and Daishou had become a thing either
So when Nohebi lost in the playoffs and she approached Daishou after the game and asked for a second chance, she’s was definitely shocked to hear him tell her he had a girlfriend
And she was doubly surprised when you had casually strolled up with a water bottle you handed him before kissing his temple and sitting down next to him
Mika was speechless
It was a known fact throughout Nohebi that you and Mika didn’t get along
Mika had always accused you of trying to steal Daishou from her— even though you didn’t feel that way towards him until later— but because you were always interrupting them to bring him to practice or talk about volleyball she was sure you were doing it on purpose to break them up
So that night she had decided she wasn’t going to lose to you and would steal him back from you
It was subtle enough at first
She started talking to him again in school, deciding to work with him on in class assignments because you weren’t there to work with him
And then she started texting him and calling to discuss “school work”
But you knew a snake when you saw one
Daishou found it really adorable seeing how jealous you got and would always wave off Mika’s advancements because he only wanted you
And one day the two of you got out of practice early and decided to hang out
One thing lead to another and you found yourself with Daishou’s face buried between your legs
His phone vibrated
And the screen lit up with a text from Mika
Done with her shit already, you grabbed his phone and unlocked it
You scoffed at the text
“I heard practice ended early! I was wondering if you could come over and help me with the math homework?”
You pulled up his camera and smirked
He was looking straight at the camera, burying his face further between your folds— he knew exactly what you were thinking
You took the picture and sent it to her along with a text
”Maybe later, he’s a little busy rn”

And the snakes started to sing — Intro
Rated: SFW
Author note: I decided on posting the intros for all the fics before updating them. Please, give this one the same amount of love you give to the other stories from this au *cough* Hospital for souls *cough*. Daisho is my babie and I love him very much.
Warnings: cursing, name-calling, implied cheating, mentions of alcohol and me being mean to Mika.

When he decided to marry her, it felt right.
Back at that time, it felt like he had made a big score that would lead him into a successful path.
She had stunning looks and that fire in her eyes. A combo that would put any man into his knees in adoration.
At that moment, she seemed nothing but a strong-minded girl, with a sassy demeanor and a seducing aura. The sweet smiles and soft voice were a bonus.
Plus the fact Mother Nature gifted her with those ginger locks and the skin of alabaster, being enamored by her looks couldn't be helped either.
He was sure she was a goddess among the Earth and he, himself, was more than willing to let her rule his life.
And man, was he wrong.
Mika was a bitch — the worst one, it is.
He can't exactly pinpoint the moment things went wrong, but he knew it wasn't much long after their wedding.
She turned out to be demanding.
A vixen who couldn't let him be, always rubbing shit on his face and remarking how much of a failure he was.
Oh, she was a cheater too.
And this is why Daisho Suguru, the oh-so-feared oyabun of Nohebi, was wasting his night away on a lowlife bar located in the outskirts of Tokyo.
Because if he ran into her right now, he would end her right on the spot, using only his bare hands, almost breaking the promise he made to himself of never laying a hand on a woman with hurting purposes.
As much as she deserved it.
"Uhm... sir?" A soft voice snapped him out of his reverie. Lifting his gaze, his eyes bore into gentle ones "I'm sorry for disturbing you, but we're closing for the night." The woman said to him.
"Oh, right. Gimme the bill, please" She looked worriedly at him.
"Sir, you only drank water the whole night. Water is on the house." She stated the obvious, wiping the counter. The name tag on her chest glinted under the dim light; he paid no mind to it, returning to look past the woman's face.
"Oh, right" he was astonished. He was supposed to be sad and drinking his heart out. Maybe, in bloodlust for revenge.
Is this how emptiness feels? He wondered.
"Then, can I have a swill of whiskey before I go?" He asked, an uncertain tone lacing his voice; the woman smiled warmly at him, grabbing a glass.
"Of course. We have scotch, tennessee and a bottle of Yamazaki to offer. Which one do you prefer?"
"Yamazaki. Neat, please" He asked, analyzing her features.
She was pretty. Her body held a delicate constitution he never saw before. Doe eyes with long lashes that resembled doll ones.
Pretty, he realised, but not quite my type.
"Here ya go, sir." His concentration was broken by the screech the glass made on the wooden surface after the woman slid it to him.
Chugging down its content, throat burning in the process, he then banged the glass onto the counter when finished.
The bargirl let out a little squeal at the sound.
"I apologize" he whispered, hands running through his verdant hair while he looked around the place.
The bar wasn't even that bad per se, but it wasn't like the fancy pubs he is used to frequent either. Tough it wasn't what tickled him off.
The woman before him didn't fit in the place.
It wasn't his problem. But it bugged him to see a pretty thing like her in a place like this.
He observed as she organized some stuff in the cabinets. He didn't miss the glances she threw at him over her shoulders, eyes almost rushing him out.
Daisho sighed.
"I'll take my leave. How much do I owe you?" The man asked, already reaching for his wallet.
"Nothing really." The words came out in relief. He frowned, feeling pathetic.
"Look, I'm not a charity case." The bitter taste in his mouth felt too much. He didn't come in searches of pity from the worker of a rundown bar.
For goddam's sake, Daisho could buy and burn down the whole city.
The man didn't want her sympathy.
"Oh, I didn't mean to offend you, sir." She squealed, moving her hands frantically "You just look like you could use something warm right now." And after years of being stabbed on the back, he saw sincerity in the color of her eyes; no second intentions behind those irises.
He thanked the girl, finally taking his leave.
Getting out of the place and ignoring the dull burning in his throat, Daisho couldn't understand the feeling inside of his chest — but he knew it wasn't a bad sensation.
Warm indeed, the male thought, starring at the dark sky of Tokyo.

Daishou and Mika’s New Year (with the cats)
Here is a reupload of the novel translation, where Daishou and Mika go on a date for new year and end up meeting the Nekoma students.
“Then, how about the shrine near the school?”
“….Eh, no.”
Yamaka Mika hung her head, slightly sulking.
They were in the fast food shop beside Nohebi Academy, and the boy sitting opposite her across the small table was her boyfriend, Daishou Suguru. Friends at their school often commented that he seemed like he had a bad personality, but that wasn’t true. Mika thought that it was a shame, just because he had a mean look in his eyes.
With Daishou being the captain of the volleyball club, he had nothing but practice on weekdays and weekends, every day until he lost a big match in November and retired. Because of this, they were able to stay together during winter break.
He lost the last match, but he was cool, with a serious expression Mika had never seen on him before. But that story didn’t matter now. Their current topic was the new year’s shrine visit.
Seeing as the shrine in their local area was boring for something as big as new year, Mika wanted to stretch her legs and go somewhere further away. The shrine visit was their first date of the new year, and only elementary schoolers would go to the shrine just behind the school. Mika pouted. Why were guys so flaky when it came to this kind of stuff?
“Why not? Isn’t it the same wherever you go?”
Mika persisted against her boyfriend, who didn’t understand at all.
“It’s not the same! If we go to Meiji Jingu, we can drop by at the Harajuku sale. If you want a charm to give to your friend, Yushima Tenjin is the place to go. Oh, the one at Nezu has a power spot for romance. And what else…”
Mika researched other shrines on her phone and glanced at Daishou, but he carried on eating his fries, as if to say that he didn’t care where they went.
“……”
Horrible, Mika thought. This was why girls said he had a bad personality. He was lazy at times, but his personality wasn’t that bad…
Mika began to get annoyed at her friends as well as Daishou, but she carried on without giving up.
“Then… how about Senso-ji? It’s not a shrine, but everyone goes there. Oh, the Skytree’s around there too.”
“Eh?”
Daishou’s sudden interest surprised Mika, although she was the one to suggest it in the first place.
“Uh, what? Do you not like Senso-ji?”
“Ah, no. I just realised I’d never been to the Skytree.”
Mika was even more shocked at Daishou’s words.
“What, really? Why?”
“Why? Even if you have a reason to go, there’s no reason to not go. I just haven’t gone there yet.”
Daishou said, with a hint of tiredness in his voice. He carried on eating his fries, and Mika frowned. It was really annoying to deal with Daishou’s argumentative side. He just had slightly better grades than her. If he was worse at sports and study than her, he wouldn’t be able to beat her in anything. And it was annoying how he could eat more fries than her and not gain weight at all….
But it was the one spot that he had shown interest in. Mika knew she just had to push and push from there. Lose the battle and win the war, as the saying went. Well, maybe that wasn’t it.
“Then let’s go to Senso-ji! Come on. It’ll be fun!”
“If that’s what you want… I’ll go.”
“Yes!”
And so, the two decided to go to Senso-ji. Mika had won by persistence.
The new year came, and the day finally arrived. The train they got on at Moyori station was spacious at first, but more and more passengers were in each train they took. When they arrived at Asakusa by the yellow Ginza train, they got off from the train by being practically pushed out by the other passengers.
“So many people.”
The station was crowded with people going to their first shrine visit of their new year. Feeling that she wouldn’t be able to see Daishou ever again if she got lost, she held his coat tightly.
“Uh, what is it, Mika-chan? Are you okay?”
Daishou was flustered and turning red, but Mika replied with a “Yeah. I’ll try and follow you as best as I can,” in complete seriousness. They got through the gates as they were pushed by the waves of people, but from there, the area was packed so tightly that they couldn’t move.
“Maybe we should have just stuck with the one in our area…”
Mika yanked the complaining Daishou’s coat. “This is nothing! So, which exit was the one near the Skytree?”
Just as she stood tall, a shout came from somewhere in the crowd.
“Ah! The number one from Nohebi!”
Daishou, having been called his uniform number, lifted his head.
Nohebi Academy High School, uniform number one.
The number he bore on his back for a year had blended into him completely, and it wasn’t something that disappeared just because he moved away from the gymnasium for a month or so. It was still the same as his name.
Daishou found a small girl from middle or elementary school at the back of the crowd, pointing at him and jumping about.
Mika’s expression stiffened slightly. “Who’s she?”
“I don’t know…”
Daishou didn’t recognise her. Maybe it was one of his teammates’ sister. He cocked his head quizzically, but remembered who she was with an “Ah,” when he saw the tall, beautiful blonde girl by her side.
“That beautiful girl, I think she was at the sidelines of Nekoma…”
As soon as he murmured that, a deep, guttural voice came from behind them.
“A date, huh?”
Fearing for themselves, the two whipped around. There was a Mohawk man exuding a dark aura behind them, and a western-looking, tall man behind the Mohawk man.
Mika let out an “eek,” and jumped away, stepping on the foot of a stranger nearby. The stranger grumbled “Be careful,” which was completely justified, but became silent and frozen after being surrounded by the Mohawk man and the tall man- Yamamoto Taketora and Haiba Lev from Nekoma High School- and Daishou, the captain of Nohebi Academy High School.
Yamamoto stared at the pair from Nohebi, letting out a low, hushed whisper. “A shrine visit date from the start of new year… that means your parents have already approved…. I see how it is. I see…”
“What, aren’t you guys with your girlfriends too? Over there…”
Before Daishou could continue, the girl from earlier on- Yamamoto’s sister, Akane- slipped in between the two like a cat and corrected him.
“I’m his sister.”
Her eyes staring up scared Daishou.
“See? Now my sister has those scary eyes of hers because of you!”
As Yamamoto began to panic at his sister’s attitude, Lev explained to them calmly. “We only had practice in the morning, so Taketora-san and I are just being made to come with our siblings. Oh, this is my sister.”
“We went shopping at the Skytree! I bought matching accessories with Akane-chan, too!” Alisa, the beautiful blonde girl, held up her shopping bag with a smile.
“Ah, I see.”
“Who are they?” Mika asked the fatigued Daishou.
“The guys from Nekoma.”
As soon as she heard that, Mika let go of Daishou’s coat that she had been gripping. “Volleyball again, huh?” She muttered forlornly, pushing her way through the crowd and heading over to the stairs at the exit.
“Huh? Mika-chan, wait a sec!”
“It’s kinda refreshing. They don’t seem to be getting along!” Yamamoto said cheerfully, as Daishou chased after his girlfriend while bumping into others in the crowd.
“Hey, that’s horrible, bro.”
“What? You’re the one who talked to them first! …Hey, stop looking at me that way!”
“Why are you angry?”
Daishou finally got a hold of Mika’s arm, after getting up the stairs and inhaling a breath of fresh air at last. But Mika shook away his large hand.
“…I’m not angry.”
“But you are. Sure, it’s volleyball again, but that was because they were there, and I didn’t…”
Mika stared coldly at her boyfriend, who was making excuses without looking her in the eye.
“…You called her a beautiful girl.”
“What?”
“You called that person a beautiful girl, earlier.”
“Oh.”
He said that, he definitely said that. She remembered. The colour drained from Daishou’s face, but he had to make it up to her somehow. He did say that, but he didn’t say it in that kind of way. He doesn’t know what kind of way he meant it in, but it wasn’t in that kind of way.
“Uh… it’s not in that kind of way. Anyway, Mika-chan, you’re much more of a beautiful girl!”
“That’s not true! She’s more of a beautiful girl!”
Mika felt stupid and pathetic that she was getting angry over a such a trivial matter, and she really knew that Daishou didn’t mean it in that way. She doesn’t know what kind of way, but she knows he didn’t mean it.
But still, it was irritating, and it annoyed her that Daishou kept making excuses instead of apologising. She felt like crying from anger, but she didn’t want to cry while she was on a date. She stayed silent and stared at the ground, because the tears would come out if she spoke.
“…..”
Daishou sighed, not able to do anything for Mika. He started walking.
“The shrine visit doesn’t matter anymore. We should change our mood.”
The two passed Kaminari-mon, which was flooded with people coming for shrine visits, walking along the street. On the road, rickshaw workers called out to people energetically, and women wearing kimonos were getting on, laughing.
All of the shops were open, even though it was New Year’s Day. It was elegant, and it looked like fun. The passers-by all had sweet sake, coffee or dango in their hands, and it looked so delicious, so warm. Mika was jealous of everyone that caught her eye.
Horrible.
It was their date, and they were fighting again. They’d made up after that match, why did it have to come to this? Was she the one at fault? But it was Daishou’s fault too. God, if only the Mohawk guys hadn’t come…
Yamamoto’s face popped into her mind, irritating her. Right, it was their fault. If they hadn’t come, she would have been visiting the shrine with Daishou right then. Wait, that meant that it maybe wasn’t her fault or Daishou’s fault. It was the Mohawk guys’ fault, perhaps?
A single beam of light shone through Mika’s feelings.
Yeah, it was that Mohawk’s fault! Why did she have to fight with Daishou because of that Mohawk? Why was he wearing a Mohawk, anyway? It was total nonsense!
When she concluded that it was all the Mohawk’s fault, her irritation towards Daishou disappeared, and she wanted to make up with him as soon as he could. Mika cast aside her embarrassment and talked to Daishou’s back.
“…Hey, maybe we should… turn?”
“Eh? …Ah, sure.” Daishou replied awkwardly.
They turned right at the intersection and went into the shopping street. As they walked around aimlessly in the street full of old-fashioned coffee shops and Japanese sweetshops, Mika pointed to something.
“What’s that…? Oh, it says Kabuki.”
It was the building standing at the back of the shopping street, Asakusa Public Hall. Elegant banners were lined up there, and many wine-casks and posters with “New Year Asakusa Kabuki” written on them decorated the walls.
“Guess that’s Asakusa for you.”
“Yeah, it’s Asakusa-like.”
The two started to talk a little while walking to the end of the street, peering into the paths to their left and right. Beyond the T-junction, the streets were Edo-fashion, as if they had been swept into a historical drama. Mika looked around the refined streets curiously.
“It’s kind of a cute street. Hey, look, there’s Nezumi Kozou on that roof over there!”
“…Mika-chan, you’re like a tourist. You’re from Tokyo.”
“Well, I haven’t really been to Asakusa…”
Mika, embarrassed, turned her back to Daishou after being teased, who began to laugh at that.
“I haven’t really been here either, so how about we explore around here a little?”
And so their Asakusa quest began. Enticed by a nice scent, they moved their legs along to a street packed with red lanterns. Every izakaya pub had chairs and tables laid out on the road as well as inside, and the bustle was just like a festival’s.
“It’s so lively even in the afternoon, huh.”
“Is this meant to be… an open deck seat?”
There were young couples and families in seats with wind-proofing vinyl sheets around them, in high spirits even before it was dark out. Mika and Daishou nervously walked past Hoppy Street, getting to the front of the white fence and tiled roof just like a mansion’s.
“Is this a temple?” “No, it’s…”
Inside the fence, there came laughing and screaming. The building wasn’t a temple nor a mansion.
“Oh, I know what it is! It’s an amusement park! What should we do, Suguru? It’s an amusement park!”
“What do you mean, what should we do? Should we go in, Mika-chan?”
“Let’s go in!”
As they ran into the amusement park psyched-up, a rollercoaster roared past above their heads.
“Whoa! It’s so close to us! That’s scary!”
“Look, there are pandas! Let’s get on the pandas!”
Mika pointed to the panda-karts that moved when a one hundred yen coin was put into them. They seemed fluffy and soft, like a huge moving plushy. The pandas were popular, getting their pictures taken and pointed at as they clunked around dangerously in the crowd.
“Uh, I’d prefer the stuff more like roller coasters, or the ones that spin, or the ones that fall…”
“I want to go on the panda! Let’s get on after those people!”
Mika was completely enchanted by the pandas as she dragged the unamused Daishou over to them. They were going to wait until the people on it got off, and then get on in place of them.
When they looked closely, two boys seemed to be racing each other in the panda-karts, getting all excited over a vehicle slower then their walking pace.
“If I get in from the inside…”
“I won’t lose!”
A tall boy and a boy with a small frame. Perhaps they were brothers, Mika mused as she gazed at them.
The panda-karts eventually stopped with a bump, and the boys got off. “Oh, there’s someone waiting,” they said as they caught sight of Mika. “Ah!” When they saw Daishou, they let out an exclamation and trotted over to them.
“Inuoka-kun, look! They’re from Nohebi!”
“Eh? Wow, you’re right! Um, happy new year!”
The larger one gave them a new year’s greeting and bowed energetically. They didn’t seem to be brothers, after all.
“Oh, you’re the backup libero from Nekoma!” “Y-yes!”
The smaller one, Shibayama Yuuki, bowed his head too. The two of them were strangely polite. And the larger one, Inuoka Sou, was making assertive attempts to keep the conversation going for Mika and Daishou, who was having trouble dealing with them.
“Isn’t this place great? It’s open from the new year!”
“Huh? Well, yeah…”
“There was shaved ice that had seven colours earlier on! Did you eat it? My mouth’s turned into such a weird colour! See!”
The larger one opened his mouth to show his tongue with seven colours, as if he were a relative’s child.
“Yeah. That’s… pretty amazing.”
Mika began to feel uneasy. If she let it continue on, she would be dragged into his pace, and end up eating yakisoba in the food court, riding the rollercoaster and taking photos with the illuminated lights. If she was pleaded with that genuine smile, she couldn’t possibly say no.
“Oh, actually, we’re about to go home! Right, Suguru?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah!” Daishou nodded hurriedly.
“I see, that’s a pity! I was thinking we could have all eaten yakisoba together. Well, see you then!”
Inuoka waved to them, and Shibayama bowed his head. Mika and Daishou broke into a run, as if they were escaping them.
The two ran out of the amusement park and along the road a little, facing each other and laughing after they finally came to a stop. “I guess we can stop now.”
“That was pretty surprising.”
“Yeah. We’ll have to come back for the pandas sometime else.”
“Yeah… Let’s come again.”
Mika found herself reddening, glad that Daishou promised her to take her there again. In the end, he always put her first. She had always thought he only thought about volleyball, but perhaps he really thought about her the most, it was just that she didn’t realise.
Her boyfriend’s sentence made her footsteps lighter as she walked through the cloud. Shops, big and small, were lined up freely, making the whole street seem like a maze. Everything that caught her eye was something rare and interesting, making her excited. She wouldn’t be surprised if a circus tent or a freak show appeared right before her eyes. Mika stared around the street as she walked, making sure she wouldn’t lose sight of a sign of somewhere she didn’t know. It was an exploration, after all. When she was with another person, doing anything anywhere was fun.
“…Oh, there are many banners here too. Is it a Kabuki again?”
There was a building with many colourful banners, along with red and white lanterns and cocoon balls that intensely gave off new year vibes. Daishou looked into the billboard, checking the photos of the faces of those performing.
“No, I think… it’s a rakugo.”
When they looked at the building, it said in big letters, “Entertainment Hall”. They had walked Rokku Broadway south from the amusement park, up to the corner of the entertainment hall.
“Look, there are spinning tops and magic tricks, too.”
“Seems kinda suspicious, but it’s new year’s. Guess we’ll go in.”
They bought the tickets at the reception, and entered the dimly lit entertainment hall. When they opened the door, it was packed to the aisles. The humidity was so extreme that it made Mika take off her coat.
“Oh, they’re already at it.”
“There are more people than I expected. It’s standing room only.”
On the stage adorned with red and white decorations, a young man wearing a kimono was talking. I guess they’re not all old men, Mika thought. “Huh?” Daishou looked over at Mika, furrowing his brows.
“Uh, what? Is it… weird?”
As Mika tried to check her white knitted dress she bought for the date, she realised that Daishou wasn’t looking at her.
“What?”
Mika followed Daishou’s glance, and Daishou whispered, “You’re from Nekoma!”
The man with a buzzcut sitting beside Mika turned around.
“Hm? ….Oh, yes.”
The buzzcut man looked surprised for a moment, and then greeted them with a smile.
“Nohebi’s captain, huh? Happy new year. Fukunaga told me there’d be a comedian that he recommends coming here today, so the two of us came. Right?”
Beside the buzzcut who talked gently, a silent boy stared at them. The boy called Fukunaga wasn’t one for friendliness, and didn’t say anything.
“Y- you guys, it’s almost Spring High! What, you have time to spare?!”
Daishou exclaimed loudly, and the members of the audience around them warned him with a “Shh!”
“Oh, s-sorry…”
Daishou’s voice behind her back, Mika ran out of the hall alone.
Crouching through the red barrier, Mika paced through the new shopping street that had appeared. She didn’t know where she was walking, or where she was heading to.
It was just pathetic and frustrating, and she was about to cry.
After all, Daishou didn’t look at her, he only cared about volleyball. He could have just left the kids from other schools alone, but he went up and talked to them. So stupid. He lost to them.
A sneeze escaped her. She realised she had taken off her coat, and put it on. The white knitted dress she had just bought became hidden by her coat.
“So stupid.”
She’d bought the dress by borrowing her new year’s money off her mother earlier, but he didn’t notice at all. It was fun buying clothes. Would he like these kinds of feminine looks more? Would he prefer white or pink? There had been no point even thinking that at all. She should have just bought some delicious cakes instead of clothes. The ones at the underground floor of the department store that cost about 500 yen apiece, lots of it.
As she thought such things, the back of her nose stung and tears started to appear. As she held back her tears, the flamboyant banner was still waving about in front of her, but it didn’t matter anymore. Kabuki or Rakugo, it didn’t seem fun anymore, like a spell had been removed. But when she glanced at the sign, it read “Rokyoku”, neither Kabuki nor Rakugo. It was even more frustrating.
She couldn’t take it anymore. No more.
Her makeup would be washed away, but she didn’t care anymore. She was going to cry, and she didn’t care about it.
Mika decided so, and stopped walking. She glanced up at the sky, and let out an “ah” sound. In the blue, pure new year’s sky, the large, large skytree towered.
“It’s so big…”
Her tears disappeared.
Beside the road she’d been walking, there had been the skytree all along, pointing up. Of course it was, it was always in the same Asakusa. But she had been walking hunched forward, running as if she were escaping from something, looking around as if looking for a secret in the alleyway. She hadn’t noticed at all.
Forgetting that she wanted to cry, Mika started to walk straight ahead. When she got out of the shopping street, it was Senso-ji. The place where they were meant to come for their first shrine visit. When she carried on while staring at the skytree, she could see the amusement park from earlier to her left, and if she listened carefully, she could hear the rollercoaster too. It felt like she had been walking around a lot, but really, she had just been going round and round the same spot. It was rather funny.
“I didn’t notice at all, either.”
As she walked at the back of the five-story pagoda to the main hall of the temple, Mika realised she hadn’t completed her new year’s shrine visit yet and joined the queue for worship. Daishou ran there, out of breath.
“You’re there… I’m glad… What’s wrong, all of a sudden, Mika-chan?!”
“Sorry.”
“Huh? No, it’s… you don’t have to apologise.”
Daishou averted his eyes, for some reason. He had a tendency to become flustered and nervous at weird moments, Mika thought. She undid the buttons on her coat, showing Daishou her dress inside.
“I bought this a little while ago.”
“Huh? Oh… I think it is cute.”
“Why’re you being polite all of a sudden?”
Mika burst out laughing a little. She couldn’t wait around, hoping to be noticed, she thought. If she didn’t talk to him and show him, they wouldn’t be able to reach an understanding. It’s embarrassing and hard, but even so, they would talk, bit by bit.
The line they queued up at moved slowly, and they finally started to talk quietly. When it was their turn, they threw their coins in and pressed their hands together. And they held hands and walked down the steps.
The sound of shaking the oracle box, the sound of a mobile phone’s camera. Many sounds and many words from different countries rained down. A selfie stick popped out somewhere, too. They walked under Hozomon gate where the two Deva gods stood, and walked the shopping streets to the Kaminari-mon.
“Hey, what did you wish for earlier?”
“Huh? Well, nothing really...”
Mika glared lightly and elbowed her boyfriend, who was mumbling for some reason. “Tell me.” She couldn’t know if he didn’t say it.
“Ow. Well, so… In the Spring High, I wished that they- Nekoma would get at least one win.”
“What, why?” Mika stopped walking.
“Why? …Well, I kinda want them to win for us, as well.”
“What…? I wished I could go shrine visiting with Suguru next year too, but now I just look like an idiot!”
“What?!”
Daishou was dumbstruck by the unexpected words, but Mika couldn’t be stopped now.
“You weren’t even enthusiastic about shrine visiting, Suguru. You just made it seem like you didn’t care where we went!”
“…No, I was looking forward to it! But I said wherever is fine, because it’s embarrassing to act like I’m excited for the date…”
“What’s that mean? I don’t get you!”
It wasn’t just Daishou and Mika that stopped and stood in the crowd. Behind them, two guys stood whispering quietly, but loud enough to make them hear what they were saying.
“It’s a shoujo manga.”
“It is, indeed.”
Mika turned around, surprised. There was yet another tall guy and a shorter guy, but they were nowhere near as pure as the two she’d met at the amusement park. Before she could wonder who those guys were, Daishou shouted.
“Kuroo, you bastard, why are you here?!”
The duo behind them were Nekoma’s third years, Captain Kuroo Tetsurou and Libero Yaku Morisuke. They paid no attention to the red-faced, yelling Daishou and nibbled on ningyo-yaki while arguing.
“See? There are these types of pain-in-the-ass people. This is why we should have just gone shrine visiting in our local area. Kenma won’t come if it’s far away. He’ll say he’s too tired.”
“Shut up! The bigger it is, the more advantage you get!”
“God isn’t that much of a simpleton.”
As if to lash out at the loudly bickering duo, Daishou screamed.
“Oi, Nekoma! You ignoring me?!”
“Hm? Oh, it’s just shoujo manga-kun.”
“Don’t call me that.”
Daishou tried to appear intimidating to hide his embarrassment, but Kuroo continued to smirk.
“I already know you’re a good guy. Never would have guessed you were praying for our victory.”
“Never would have guessed.”
Yaku crossed his arms and nodded too.
“Were you guys eavesdropping…?!”
Embarrassment and humiliation turned Daishou a deep red up to his neck as he glared at Kuroo. But Kuroo merely tapped Daishou’s shoulder lightly.
“Don’t worry. We won’t just win once.”
The words made Daishou momentarily confused, but as soon as he locked eyes with Kuroo, who was smirking with the corners of his mouth, he smiled lightly and retorted.
“You’ve said it now.”
They made a strange face that could have been a glare or a smile, but soon burst out laughing, unable to hold it in any longer.
“Lose, lose! Lose already, you shitty cat!”
“Sadly for you, we’re definitely not losing!”
“Nekoma has me, after all.”
“Well, we won last time without needing Yaku, though.”
“Huh?!”
“That’s it, fall out amongst yourselves!”
“Nope, not falling out anytime soon!”
Mika dropped her shoulders as she watched the three argue childishly.
“Guys are so stupid.”
They seemed so stupid, but they fought many times, won and lost, and still could argue like this. She was a little jealous. Maybe, she thought, maybe playing a volleyball match instead of talking and hanging out made people understand each other more. It was pretty neat, she though as she waved at Daishou under Kaminari-mon.
“Come on already! Let’s go!”
They couldn’t go to the Sky tree after all, but she would go another time. Take her time, when Nekoma’s guys weren’t there. But if she were to encounter them again- she’d like to eat anmitsu or ice cream wafers with them, together. Even with that Mohawk.

a consequence fit for them
Genre: slight angst then big fluff
A toru oikawa, suguru daisho and eita semi x reader
Synopsis: you got pissed at the boys so you decide to sleep on the couch and leave them alone to sleep on the bed.
a/n: hey guys! New characters here because I just watched the 2 episode special with fukorodani and nekoma. I finally met sly boi, suguru, and let me just say, he's a real cheat- anyways. Requests are open so without further ado, let's get on with it 💖❤❤
Toru oikawa
He loves you and his fans.
He might have crossed the line with one of his fans.
He flirted with a fangirl right in front of you.
You were angry and a bit sad.
Why would he do that?
Arguing with oikawa isn't that rare.
But usually, arguments don't last and you guys make up by dinner time.
But this time it was serious.
"toru, you can't tell me you didn't know I would get mad. You were literally about to pull her into a kiss."
"Why would I do that? I was just getting her flustered."
"But why would you do that in the first place?"
This went on for quite a while.
You can't tell me oikawa would keep his cool throughout that argument.
He got very defensive and yelled out at times.
You got tired, rubbing the bridge of your nose for the nth team that night.
"fine. Whatever toru." you said with a sigh.
Oikawa waited for you to blurt out your final words before bed, like 'go get your pillow and sleep on the couch.' or 'i'm just gonna call iwa-san.' but you blurted out something very different.
Something that surprised him.
"take the bed."
He stiffened and looked at you in shock.
"w-what?" he mumbled out in his confusion.
"you heard me." you simply said, going into your shared bedroom and took your pillow and an extra blanket.
Before you could turn back to the door, you felt warm and big hands wrap around your torso.
"I understand if you're still mad. But don't just tell me to stay and sleep on the bed for you to sleep on the couch," he said frantically, nuzzling into your shoulder.
You felt 5 more words come out of his mouth.
"let's just sleep together. Please?"
You sighed and nodded, letting him pull you into bed.
Suguru daisho
We all know he's a cunning bitch.
He was polite to everyone, fake or otherwise.
He was never fake with you…or mika.
Despite mika breaking up with suguru and him dating you, they remained close friends.
When I mean close, I mean close-
You were watching the national game on tv and he invited both of you over.
He asked you to get some snacks in the kitchen. You obliged of course.
You come back and see him cuddling the other girl on the couch.
You almost dragged mika out of the apartment.
When she saw your glare, she immediately left.
He was angrier than you.
"what's wrong with hugging a friend huh?"
"Just because you're friends with your ex, doesn't mean you can cuddle with her in front of me!"
After a few minutes of fighting, you rolled your eyes and sighed.
"just go to sleep. You were starting to fall asleep in her arms anyway."
When he heard that, he entered the bedroom and started to grab his pillows so he could get situated on the couch.
But you just entered the room behind him and grabbed your pillow and silently push daisho onto the bed.
He was frozen for a moment before running out of the room, blocking your path back to the living room.
"why?! If you're angry, don't punish me by seeing you sleep on the couch."
You were about to just shove your way through but he took your pillow from you and threw it on the couch.
"I'll sleep on the couch. We'll just talk about this tomorrow." he just smiled at you.
"if you're pretending to be polite again, just please," you said, trying to push your way through him.
"I'm not pretending this time. I promise." he smiled before ushering you back to the bedroom.
Even though you're in a comfortable bed. You were still restless, thinking of the boy currently sleeping on the couch.
Eita semi
He looks stoic most of the time. Calm and collected.
But sometimes, his temper and competitiveness come out.
You guys were playing video games in your shared bedroom. You were winning without him going easy on you.
He was starting to grumble under his breath while he tries to kill you.
You started to tease him " aww semi, are you angry?"
When he lost again, he threw your controller onto the bed but it bounced off, dropping to the floor with a loud thud.
You picked it up, seeing the wires coming out of the plastic shell.
"eita! Why the hell did you do that?" you said angrily.
"well if you didn't taunt me like an idiot, I wouldn't have thrown the controller," he grumbled out angrily.
"so now it's my fault? It's a game eita. Are you at least gonna pay for it?"
"why would I? it was your fault anyway."
Though no one was raising their voice, you were starting to get drained.
"if you don't wanna pay for it, it's fine eita. It's been a long day. Let's just go to bed." you said. You see him lay down, making space for you.
You just took your pillow and went to the living room and started to settle on the couch.
After a few minutes of silence, you see a figure looming over you.
Semi just sighs and grumbles a 'sorry.' before sitting down at the foot of the couch.
You realized he was also brought his pillow.
You just smiled, scooting over for him to squeeze in.
He smiled back, laying down next to you, pulling you closer to his chest.
Even though it was very cramped, you wouldn't have it any other way.
Sorry for the delay in posting! Hope you guys like this because I loved writing this so much. Requests are open for everyone so please don't be shy to request anything! Thank you guys so much for reading! Love you guys ❤💖💕

jealousy
pairing: daishou suguru x f!reader
genre: fluff, slight angst, some suggestive content
word count: 1,601
description: daishou gets jealous on a date, but only because he cares
a.n: this is dedicated to the president of the daishou stans club @girlspirits ;3 i couldn’t resist cooking this up when i literally dreamt about it. luv you uwu (also he obviously isn’t dating mika here so he’s all yours)
--
you stood outside of the school gates, waiting expectantly for your boyfriend to meet you for your date. scrolling on your phone and seeing how your friends from other schools in the city had landed their spots at nationals, you sigh thinking about how that could have been him too. he could’ve lived his last year of volleyball to the fullest and taken his team to victory, but here he was, off of season for the rest of the year, and perhaps the rest of his life, unless he went pro. as they always say though, every cloud has a silver lining, and you quickly push away second hand feelings of pity and regret for him upon realizing that he did is best despite not getting the result he wanted. plus, now he no longer has practice and you guys can finally go on all of the dates you put off for months.
a pair of slender, yet strong arms wrapping around your waist suddenly snaps you out of your thoughts. your head shoots up, turning around frantically with wide eyes only to be met with daishou chuckling playfully.
“suguru! you scared me!” you exclaim, nonetheless turning around to bury into his chest as he pulls you in for a hug.
“that was kind of the point, babe.” daishou teases, though the way you look up at him and pout afterwards immediately softens him up. and when you smack his arm playfully, with just the right amount of pain to teach him a lesson but also light enough to not inflict serious damage, his desire to protect you at all costs grows even stronger.
“ready to go?” daishou takes your hand in his, interlocking your fingers and you nod. the two of you then proceed to take a detour from the usual route home. the trip consisted of you guys asking about each other’s day, how exams went, the typical small talk before falling into silence. not the uneasy type of silence, it was the feeling where the lack of words made everything more comfortable and made your relationship deeper than perceived. just the feeling of being together on a day with perfect weather, basking in each others’ presence was enough. everyone who saw you together said what they wanted, but he was your home and you were proud of it.
there were also the fair share of girls who tried to steal him from you, thinking that you couldn’t fulfill his desires but they clearly didn’t know the real him, who craved nothing more than intimacy just like any normal person in a relationship. sometimes he had the tendency to live on the edge when it came to other aspects of his life, but not when it came to people, be it friends, lovers, or even rivals. daishou never treated any of his connections lightly, and he was able to bring the best out of those he was closest to. there was a reason why he became team captain after all, and most definitely one that drew you to him in the first place. the security you had could never be replaced.
you and daishou finally arrived at the convenience store to get the snacks for the movie date at your house. he remembered all of your favorites, placing them in the basket and you couldn’t help but lean over to kiss his cheek as he stood in the aisle thoughtfully, eyes filled with deep concentration in finding what you liked.
“oh?” he turns to you, raising an eyebrow. “you love me that much, huh?”
“how much, suguru?” you smirk, which does nothing to ease his cocky look. daishou tucks a loose strand of hair behind your ear, before leaning down.
“you’ll have to show me later if you’re gonna be like that.” he whispered, sending shivers down your spine.
“(y/n)-san, is that you?”
before you could continue your little showdown, you heard another male voice call from behind you. you smiled, amusedly surprised when you saw that it was izumi, one of your closest friends from middle school.
“izumi, hi! how have you been?” you asked. daishou froze when he saw how casually you had greeted another boy in such a friendly tone in the middle of your date. he felt his heart sink when you guys started to catch up in front of him, as if he wasn’t there, and upon noticing the pink hue on izumi’s cheeks when you commented on how tall he had gotten.
the fact that izumi completely ignored the obvious fact that you were taken and continued to act so innocent, making you laugh and beam at him like you were supposed to be doing with your boyfriend, burned his insides even more.
daishou acts before izumi could pull any further moves on you by placing his hand on the small of your back and stepping forward towards the boy, seemingly towering over him.
“i’m sorry to interrupt but,” he interjected, feigning civility when he was totally not apologetic at all on the inside. “how do you know my girlfriend?”
izumi freezes at the mention of the word ‘girlfriend’. daishou smirks inwardly knowing that he had gotten him.
“oh i-i went to junior high with (y/n)-san.” he stuttered. “s-sorry i didn’t know you two were on a date.”
lies. daishou wasn’t an idiot, his ability to see through people on the court translated into other aspects too. his sensors definitely went off when he saw that someone was putting on a facade to take away his lover. perhaps this old friend of yours wasn’t a bad person per se, but he felt the need to assert some sort of guard against his interest towards you.
“i’ll leave you guys alone then.” izumi said politely, with a subtle hint of disappointment in his voice. “it was nice seeing you, (y/n)-san.”
“you too, izumi, take care!” you wave him goodbye.
for the rest of the time, as you guys stocked up on your sweet and savory goods, daishou remained silent. you had a feeling that the sudden confrontation had thrown him off guard, and squeezed his hand reassuringly. the gesture calmed him down, but he wasn’t willing to fully let this event go.
after you guys paid, he noticed izumi exiting the store right before you two. perfect, he thought, when he noticed from the corner of his eye that he was watching once you were outside.
daishou gently grabbed your wrist, forcing you to look at him before firmly pressing his lips to yours. you’re taken aback from how he randomly began kissing you in public like this but saw it coming at some point. you sigh in relief from getting what you secretly craved as he tenderly ravished you. one hand cradled your jaw while the other pulled you closer by the waist possessively and your arms flung around his neck. izumi could do nothing but gape, and daishou felt his gaze, chuckling into the kiss knowing that you were all his.
not wanting to get too carried away, daishou broke the contact, taking in your flushed cheeks and parted lips. his heart swelled with pride upon realizing that izumi had left, probably run off somewhere far, far away.
“suguru,” your flustered state fades when you laugh softly. “you were jealous weren’t you?”
daishou grunts as he brushes his lips against your forehead. “yeah..i was. sorry if i went too far. i trust you, it’s just that, you’re the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me and are already admired by so many other people that i can’t help but let my doubts get the best of me.” he inhales sharply. “i know that there are people who think i’m not good enough for you and that they know more about you than i do and it drives me crazy even though i shouldn’t pay attention to those things, because….i love you (y/n). i love you so much and i can’t stand the thought of losing you.”
you’re speechless from the expression of his feelings. and the declaration at the end does nothing to calm your heartbeat. without hesitation, you lean in again for another kiss, this time more gentle, but passionate enough to feel all of the pent up emotions that led up to the moment. your foreheads remain pressed against each other’s after breaking the kiss.
“i love you too, suguru.” you breathe out. “don’t ever doubt yourself or listen to what other people have to say. i promise, i would never leave you for anyone else.”
daishou’s heart had never felt warmer. if everyone else was against him, surely you’d be by his side, so why would he ever think that you’d betray him in the first place? the friendliness you exhibited towards everyone was one of the main reasons why he liked you, and he never wanted you to change despite the attention you received, especially for his projected insecurities that he no longer had to worry about.
“we should get going to your house now,” he gazes at you with sly, dilated eyes. “maybe we can finish what we started and show our love for one another in more ways than one.”
you punch his chest, trying very hard to suppress your blush.
“snacks and movies first! then we’ll see, only if you’re a good boy though.” you smirk.
“i’m a snack myself, baby. and you are too.” he purrs.
you laugh hysterically at what was supposed to be a suggestive joke. daishou would always be your cheesy dork underneath his tough exterior and you were loving it.

9:32pm.
You let out a sigh as you glance at your phone for what seemed like the thousandth time that night, the numbers moving slow, in almost a mocking way. The blinding, multi-colored lights dancing around the room kind of made your eyes spin, and the air around you made you wonder if it was possible to describe air as ‘sticky’ and what… questionable ways it could get to that state. There were bodies moving all around the room, most likely all around the house, doing a multitude of things: dancing, talking, loitering.
You had been coerced by your friends, as well as your boyfriend, Daishou, to come to this party, with promises of letting loose and free food. As reluctant as you were, your boyfriend had assured you that he would personally make sure you had a good time; said boyfriend was nowhere to be seen.
As you leaned against the wall, you raised your phone screen to your face as you mindlessly scrolled through various social media feeds and such, trying to pass the time. Ultimately, there’s only so much you can do constantly refreshing pages. On top of that, it might have just been your imagination but people seemed to stop and sneak looks at you, probably wondering why you were staying by yourself in a corner for so long.
Putting your phone away, you decided to approach some of Daishou’s friends - after all, the least he could do was to hang out with you at the party he kind of forced you to go to. Taking a quick look around the room, your eyes landed on a group of boys hanging out on the couches, you recognized them as your boyfriend’s friends. You greeted them as best as you could over the loud music, almost pounding your eardrums.
“I was just wondering, have you seen Daishou anywhere?” As soon as you mentioned his name, that atmosphere within the group grew tense. They all seemed to avoid eye-contact and some even started fidgeting. Suddenly, one of the boys spoke up.
“I- uhm, I think I saw him go upstairs?” He was met with pointed looks from the rest. Confused, you thanked them nonetheless and located the stairs.
Maneuvering your way through the many bodies on the stairs, you start searching through the many rooms of the house as you think to yourself: Who’s house is this? Why are there so many rooms? You must’ve looked through the first 4 rooms of the hallway (bathroom, storage closet, bedroom, bedroom) before reaching another door.
When you opened the door, thankful it wasn’t locked, you immediately saw two figures in a bed in the middle of the room. Upon closer inspection, you saw that they were very much not having a nap together but instead moving in tandem. You were about to exit before they could see you when one of the figures, a girl, locked eyes with you. She immediately fumbled and pushed the other figure, a boy, off of her and drew the sheets to cover herself. Feeling awkward and frozen in place, you started to spew out apologies.
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry, I, uhm,” you hands out in a defensive motion “I didn’t mean to walk in! I was just…” You trailed off when the boy turned around and you got a good look of his face. It was then when you had realized it was your boyfriend in a bed with his ex-girlfriend, Mika.
“Suguru…” Your face morphed into a disheartened expression, “You’re…” you couldn’t finish your sentence though, your eyes frantically shifting between Daishou and Mika, who you had just realized the identity of, in confusion as you opened your mouth to say something, but the words lay stuck in your throat. Fat tears welled up in your eyes, eventually falling down your cheeks, but you had yet to move.
“y/n! It’s not what you think!” Your boyfriend started as he moved off of the bed and towards you, fumbling for an explanation, but his lack of clothes told you everything. No matter what excuse he came up with, the intentions were clear.
You choked up and you pushed him away. “Save it! We’re through!” Your voice wavered as you turned and ran out the door, covering your mouth with your hands in an attempt to stifle your crying. Unfortunately, you moved to hide in the bathroom to gather your thoughts, gripping the door handle and pushing when you realized it was locked.
You looked around for something, you weren’t really quite sure what, but you knew you needed to be away from your boyfriend (ex-boyfriend, you reminded yourself) no matter what. In the heat of the moment, you stumbled your way downstairs and into the dining room. It was completely empty, which came as a surprise, but you realized it was probably because the living room was big enough for everyone to do what they wanted and the food was spread out in the kitchen and living room.
You managed to take a second to catch a break. You were about to take your phone out to call an Uber when you heard Daishou calling your name. In a moment of panic, your eyes landed on the dining table in the middle of the room. Swiftly, and with less gravitas than you’d like to admit, you crawled under the table, thanking the lords above that it was covered in a table cloth that reached the floor. An interesting style choice? Sure, but you were thankful nonetheless.
Holding your breath, you heard your name being called before you heard footsteps leave the room. So there you were, crying under a table at a party. You could still hear the loud techno and pop music from the other room, albeit muffled, and let it drown out your sorrows.
You thought of calling an Uber now, but you figured it would be smart to take the time to let your thoughts regroup so you at least stopped crying hysterically.

“Please, Kenma?!” Kuroo pouted as he clasped his hands together, “C’mon, it’s not gonna be that bad, it’ll be really fun!” Kenma sighed. He looked down at his paused game of MonHun and took note of the time.
3:51pm.
It was nearing 4pm and Kenma still had yet to clear this level. “I already told you, I don’t wanna go,” Kenma started, “I don’t like parties.” That had Kuroo bouncing and flailing around.
“But Terushima always throws the best parties, they’re fun for everyone!” Kenma grunted in response, he had started playing his game again, Kuroo narrowed his eyes and pouted even harder. “Pleeease?! Everyone’s gonna be there, it’s gonna be great! But it won’t be fun without you,” Kuroo pleaded. Kenma scoffed at that, he considered agreeing just so shut Kuroo up, but he wanted to know what he was getting into first.
“Who’s gonna be there?” Kenma asked, not looking up from his PSP.
“Everyone!” Kenma thought it was almost comical how Kuroo immediately perked up. Kenma shot him an incredulous look. “Uhm, okay, so I know Bo’s gonna be there, which means Akaashi’s gonna be there… You can hang out with him!” Kenma hummed, only partially listening, “No, you’re right, you’re right! What was I thinking? Obviously Akaashi’s gonna hang out with Bokuto, which means I’m gonna have to third wheel!” He tuned Kuroo out as he went on.
Just as Kenma had lost another round, Kuroo seemed to have finished his rant about being a third-wheel and the dynamics between Bokuto and Akaashi.
“Um, well, I mean pretty much all of the Volleyball teams are gonna be there, Terushima really wants this to be epic! Uhm, other than that… Oh! Isn’t there that girl? I forgot her name but she’s dating… Daishou…” Kuroo shudders, Kenma hummed in response. “She’s in your class isn’t she? What’s her name, you can hang out with her!”
“y/n.” Kenma offered, still not looking up from his game.
“Yeah, that’s it! Ugh, she’s kinda strange… like, Daishou? Really? Last time I saw him, he was wearing that ugly sweater…” Kenma tuned him out once again.
While Kenma continued his game, he subconsciously pondered on your relationship. You guys had never really been close, save for the occasional group and partner projects you guys did together, as was expected, you were in the same class after all. If Kenma was being honest, the only time he paid you any mind was when Kuroo brought up how Daishou was most definitely blackmailing you into dating him or something or the sort.
Fed up with Kuroo’s whining, Kenma spoke up after another round lost. “Kuro, I’ll go to the party,” Kuroo’s eyes widened as he gasped, sporting a surprised smile, Kenma continued, “But if I get bored or stressed, I’m leaving.”
Kuroo nodded.
***
Needless to say, Kenma wasn’t having a good time. While he did enjoy seeing his friend, Hinata, again, the loud and, quite frankly, annoying music was starting to hurt his ears and the food provided was decent at best, meaning fast food pizza and about a million different bags of chips.
“Kenma! C’mon, get over here! We’re playing beer pong, I need a partner!” Kenma sighed as he heard Kuroo call out to him. From where he was leaning against a wall, he could see Kuroo, Bokuto and Miya Atsumu setting up red solo cups on a table.
This had been happening all night, Kenma minding his own business, occasionally engaging in conversation with Hinata or Akaashi if they crossed paths, with Kuroo swooping in to try to get him to play some sort of party game with him. The first was Just Dance, which Kenma avoided by saying he was hungry, next came truth or dare, Kenma used the bathroom excuse on that one, and so on and so forth. The cycle continued, Kuroo hunting down Kenma and Kenma finding any way he could escape.
That led Kenma to this moment: leaning against a wall in the kitchen playing on his PSP, with Kuroo struggling to maneuver around everyone to get to him. Kenma checks the digital clock on his PSP.
9:46pm.
That seemed like a good time to leave, Kenma thought. As he was pocketing his PSP to get ready to make a dash for it, Kenma panicked for a moment, realizing that to get to the front door, he would have to pass by Kuroo and the beer pong table. Contemplating for a moment, he concluded that he would much rather wait it out and leave a bit later than have to explain why he was leaving.
When Kenma came to his senses, he realized Kuroo was even closer to him than he thought. Scanning for options, he ran the only direction he could, through the arch connecting the kitchen with the dining room.
In a moment of desperation, he ducked under the table cloth.
***
You checked yourself again in your phone camera. Thankfully, you had calmed down and stopped crying hysterically, and were only left with the occasional sniffle. Unfortunately, the redness was still very much present, as were the tears when you thought too hard about Daishou. Despite all the nasty things other people, especially in your school, would say about him, he was a kind person, passionate about many things and was very caring towards you: always cheering you up and lending an ear when you needed to vent.
I guess he just… really liked Mika, then, huh, you thought to yourself as you hugged your knees close to your chest.
Deep in your thoughts, you hadn’t noticed the frantic footsteps making their way towards you. You only realized something was off when the table cloth rustled and was lifted open, only for someone to slip in and under the table with you.
The boy seemed to be catching his breath when you made a startled noise of surprise. Hearing it, the boy snapped his head up to meet your stare. You were both just staring at each other with wide eyes, after a moment you both started fumbling out uhms and i’s, glancing around to avoid eye contact.
After accidentally looking up at each other at the same time, you realized who the boy was.
“Wait… Kenma?” He blinked.
“y/n?” He responded with a tilt of his head, “Uhm, I’m sorry, I was just… trying to get away from someone…” You shifted in your spot, casting your eyes away in embarrassment hoping he wouldn’t see your red face and stray tears. “What about you?”
“Hm?” Your eyes widened in confusion.
“Why are you, uh,” he paused awkwardly and gestured around vaguely, “What’re you doing under a table?” You didn’t really know how to respond to that.
“Uhm… well,” you felt tears welling up in your eyes again, “I-” a sob wracked through your body. Completely overwhelmed with emotions, you burst into tears. Kenma’s eyes shifted frantically before he regained his composure, he had never really been good and expressing emotions or helping others with theirs.
Kenma thought to himself: What would Kuro do in this situation? Sure, Kenma had gotten upset lots of times, and Kuroo always knew how to help. He realized that one thing that Kuroo did was ask him if he wanted to talk about what was going on - of course, Kenma never did, but for some strange, unknown reason, it made him feel just the tiniest bit better. In the back of his mind, Kenma thought that it made him feel better because it told him there was someone who cared about him.
“Do you, uh, wanna talk about it? Maybe?” He winced at his awkward delivery, his hands fidgeting.
“Is that,” you sniffled, “is that okay?” Kenma tried his best to give a reassuring smile, he was sure it came off as strained.
“Yeah, sure.”
You told Kenma about your relationship with Daishou; how it started, all the ups and downs, and finally how it ended. How you kept having chance encounters: at school when you were out shopping and even late one night at a public library - that was the night he asked you out for the first time, and you couldn’t have been more smitten.
During your relationship, he was so kind and considerate to you, and he never failed to make you laugh. You told Kenma how he even said that despite going to different schools, there was no one else he'd rather be that: that apparently didn’t stop him from hooking up with another girl.
After you went silent, Kenma found that you were finished. Despite only thinking of you as ‘that other girl in his class that was dating a volleyball player Kuroo hated’ until recently, seeing you cry and pour your heart out gave him a strange, internal attachment to you.
“Do you wanna get out of here?” Kenma asked suddenly, turning to you and planting a hand on the floor, learning towards you ever so slightly. You blinked.
“What?” Surprised by his own outburst, Kenma decided to roll with it.
“There’s an arcade a few blocks down… sometimes when I get upset, I go there and it always cheers me up?” To be perfectly honest, Kenma wasn’t really expecting you to say yes. He expected you to brush him off, say you were feeling better and ready to go home.
Kenma himself didn’t know why he asked, he usually didn’t really like spended excess time with people he didn’t know that well, but subconsciously, there was a part of him that wanted to help.
“Oh, uhm, yeah! Sure, why not?” You metally cursed yourself for your stuttering, it was bad enough you were info-dumping and completely oversharing, you didn’t want Kenma to think you were that weak. You sniffled again, realization dawning on you.
“We gotta find a way out of here first, thought.” You said. Kenma cringed.
***
Long story short, you and Kenma managed to escape the table without anyone seeing you. You were extremely thankful, as it would have been very awkward if someone saw the two of you crawling out from under a table.
Getting outside was another thing, thought. Kuroo and the beer pong table were still very much blocking the way out, and there was always the risk of bumping into Daishou again. After a bit of asking around, you found out that there was a backdoor in the kitchen, so you and Kenma were able to make your escape.
Now you were playing away to your hearts’ content to some random racing game at an arcade. You both were playing side-by-side, versing each other. To no one’s surprise, Kenma was beating you. Deep down, though, Kenma was a little impressed you were able to keep up with him so well, being a religious player of Mario Kart himself and all.
You both fleeted from game to game, playing almost every game available from shooting games to claw machines to even a Space Invaders-esque game. You had managed to earn a good amount of tickets, all thanks to Kenma’s membership card and the loose tokens he found in his wallet.
Eventually, you had played until the arcade was empty and one of the employees came up to you to tell you they were closed. They did mention that you could still buy some prizes if you wanted to, to which Kenma turned to you.
“Do you want to?”
Over the time you had spent playing games together, you had gotten to know Kenma better than just ‘the quiet boy in your class’ in between passing conversations and empty, teasing threats, some of your favorites had been: I will steal your kneecaps and If you play with that character you don’t deserve rights.
“Yeah, sure!” You replied, a genuine smile crossed your face.
In the end, you had gotten a keychain with a mini funko character on it and Kenma settled on a cute sticker that, with much encouragement from you, he stuck on the case of his PSP.
After exiting the arcade, Kenma took a moment to glance over at you. The empty street illuminated by semi-faulty lampposts, and he found it showed your face more clearly than all the neon lights of the arcade. Your tears dried up, although there were still hints of red in splotches on your face.
As he watched you talk excitedly about your new keychain, he couldn’t help but feel a strange way, an unfamiliar feeling he had never felt before. It was warm in a way, something akin to stepping home for the first time after being away for so long. It was weird, in all the years he had known you, or been partnered up with you for whatever, he had never thought of you as anything other than a random classmate. However, after everything you had both gone through together that night, something new was forming.
Little did Kenma know, you were thinking the same. You noticed the little things about him; you thought back to how his nose would scrunch when he would mess up in a game or you would surpass him in something, or how his eyes lit up and almost sparkled ever so slightly when he was picking out stickers. Now that you were outside, you could see how his dyed hair swayed gently in the crisp November wind, or how his eyes would somewhat crinkle as he laughed when you made a joke.
After a few moments of silence, you spoke up.
“Hey, so, I didn’t really get to eat at the party… Do you maybe wanna get something to eat nearby?” You asked, turning your head to Kenma. Realizing how that sounded like you were asking him on a date, you quickly stuttered out “Of course, you don’t have to! We can just get a small snack or, or maybe we don’t have to get anything!” You laughed awkwardly as Kenma showed no obvious emotions, however his eyes were slightly widened and his cheeks growing more red, but you chalked that up to the colder weather and surprise.
Kenma suddenly remembered how he didn’t get a chance to eat as well, but in all the games you guys were playing, he didn’t get a chance to feel hungry. Realizing he had not responded, he quickly thought of a place to get food, his mind immediately wandering to 7/11.
“Oh yeah, sure. There’s a 7/11 down the street, if you want?” He said, and you were off.
***
Sitting in the 7/11 with Kenma under the fluorescent lights was oddly comforting. You were happily eating your warm soba noodles (topped with tempura) as Kenma ate his apple pastry (having already eaten half of an egg salad sandwich and wrapping the rest for later) as you engaged in mindless conversation, Kenma periodically pulling out his PSP to either play or check on things.
During some random conversation about a new game Kenma was playing, you noticed him occasionally glancing behind you. Eventually, you looked behind you to see what looked like a newly installed slushie machine, touchscreen and all. Realizing Kenma wouldn’t speak up about it, you decided to take charge.
“Do you wanna get slushies?” You said with a grin. Kenma looked surprised for a second before lightly laughing.
“Sure.”
Over the machine, you tapped the screen to get a strawberry lemonade slushie, while Kenma opted for cherry one.
Slushies didn’t exactly pair well with warm soba, but tonight was apparently a night full of surprise, what with finding out about your boyfriend (ex, you reminded yourself), not to mention these spontaneous adventures with a random boy who was, you thought, not so random anymore.
“Wanna have a competition?” Kenma’s voice interrupted your train of thought, “Let’s see who can drink theirs the fastest.” You grinned.
“You’re on!”
After Kenma counted down, you both tried to down your slushie. Halfway through, though, you had to stop.
“Ah! Brainfreeze!” You exclaimed, clutching your head with one hand. Kenma also stopped drinking and laughed, “My head feels so numb, argh!” You hummed. “At least now I won’t think of Daishou anymore… My brain feels like it’s pounding like, like it’s having a rave or something!” It was getting late, meaning you were dangerously close to your stage of drowsiness that caused you to infodump like crazy. Kenma’s smile dropped every so slightly.
“Hey, uhm,” he looked as though he was looking for the right words to say, “I’m really sorry about what happened, uh,” he scratched the back of his head nervously, “Sorry, I’m not great at… feelings… but, if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here.”
You blinked for a second before smiling.
“Thanks, Kenma.”
As you were finishing up the rest of your slushie, you turned to Kenma.
“Hey, uhm, I know this is pretty random but do you want to be my partner for the project we’re doing in science?” Kenma looked up from his PSP and stared at you, as if trying to remember what you were talking about, “The one about incomplete dominance and sex-linked traits? The teacher said you had to find a partner of the opposite gender so you could create a ‘hypothetical baby’, which, honestly, I find kinda dumb… Like, if the baby’s just hypothetical, then you could partner up with anyone, right? It’s not just me that feels that way?”
Kenma remembered what project you were talking about, but he really enjoyed when you would continue on these rants. Being one to not talk that much, he liked how you were able to fill in the silence, although the times when you would be eating and he would be playing in silence were not as awkward as he thought, they weren’t awkward at all.
“So… Do you want to pair up?” Kenma flushed, realizing he was mindlessly listening to you talk.
“Oh, uhm, yeah, sure.” You beamed.
bonus: you did your project on incomplete dominance and sex-linked traits and learned about the wonders of co-dominance in blood types. also kuroo was very worried about kenma leaving and thought he got kidnapped by a van that said ‘free games’ but it was all cool when he learnt kenma left with a girl ;)

~[Just a Blinded Fool]~
No one asked for this, but someone technically did and I’m writing it because I need ANGST and PRODUCTIVITY and they want Daishou crumbs, so I shall give.
Song: Used To Be (L.O.V.E.) by Chelsea Collins
Warnings: Angst, heartbreak, one mention of cheating
Word Count: 1560 words
-
“Look at me.”
Heartbreak. The ten-letter word of glass. There were many other words that could hurt even more but Y/N couldn’t think about what was worse. It felt as if a knife had attacked her from behind without her knowing. Her insides were cold and everything around her had faded away. Only he was real. He was physically there with her but emotionally, he belonged to someone else and she knew it.
Their relationship was perfect, until something or someone inexplicable happened and it threw a wrench in between them.
How much love was enough love? Y/N didn’t know, she didn’t care. She saw the stars in Daishou’s eyes, she found warmth in his smile, she found home in his heart. Y/N was fully in love with Daishou Suguru and he reciprocated that love equally, if not more. Until he didn’t anymore.
“Sweet pea, she isn’t anyone. You’re the only one for me.” Daishou reassured her about Mika Yamaka. His mouth said one thing, his heart said another.
L is for the way you lie to me
Reassurance, after that, kept Y/N going. Daishou didn’t know that his feelings for Y/N were flying away slowly, like dandelion seeds. Every time Mika walked by, his eyes couldn’t help but flick over to look at her. Daishou shook his head, firmly stating to himself that he was in love with Y/N.
Y/N was no profiler from the BAU but even she knew how Daishou looked at Mika. A flare of protectiveness and jealousy rose up within her whenever Mika was around and Daishou looked over at her.
O is for the other one you see
It was obvious to everyone around them: their relationship was hanging by a thread. An argument broke up between them every single day, even for the smallest things.
“Why were you looking at him like that?! Why him, of all people?” Daishou growled at Y/N.
Y/N replied firmly, “Kuroo has been my best friend for the longest time, I was not looking at him in any way!” Then she threw oil on the flames. “You’ve been looking at Mika like she’s a goddess, like she’s yours! You’re probably cheating on me with her, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
Daishou, in a fury, spun around and marched straight out of the door, muttering under his breath. Y/N was on her knees and clutching her head, thoughts swirling in her mind.
V is for vindictive, chew my heart and then you spit it
For a whole week, they didn’t speak or look at each other. Y/N couldn’t take it anymore. She just wanted to talk to him. Y/N’s heart was in pain and she didn’t want Daishou to leave, not like this.
Y/N sprinted in the hallways, ignoring the mumbles of anger and the humans. She just needed to get to him on time.
She got there too late.
E hurts even more, but who knows what I keep hoping for
Daishou and Mika were talking and he was smiling as she laughed at something he said. Y/N stood there, helplessly watching as her boyfriend “flirted” with Mika. Something about the interaction made her want to scream and cry or just curse. He used to smile like that with her, he used to talk like that with her, now he wasn’t even looking in her direction.
A tiny voice in her mind whispered, He’s smiling. Let him be for a moment. She turned around and walked away from her boyfriend and the girl who would break them up without knowing.
When I’m trip trip tripping over everything you say and do
Another week went by and Y/N was on the outside, looking in on Daishou and Mika’s blooming relationship. It felt like he was on Earth and she was on the moon, staring down at him. Suffering was her daily lifestyle. She tried to keep her thoughts away from him, but they would just come back. Her mind was infiltrated with indescribable thoughts. All she wanted to do was stare at Daishou, hoping that her love was enough for him to return to her.
Like even though I’m miles away, I’ll keep my faith for you
She couldn’t take it anymore. Daishou and Y/N finally met up. She said, “Daishou, is everything okay between us? We haven’t talked for two weeks.”
Daishou sighed and ran his hand through his hair. “Y/N, you know I’ll always care for you, right? I just needed a little break. Mika has only been there to help me with homework and such.” Another lie.
“Are we okay?”
“Yes, sweet pea.” He kissed her, but it had no sparks, no anything. The energy was just...gone for him. She, on the other hand, felt hope flare up again.
Oh, but I’m just a blinded fool, with my heart so tied, who knows what to do
Y/N willingly gave him space. Those spaces were the demise of the relationship. Every minute that Daishou spent with Mika, he was falling more and more for her and forgetting about Y/N. Y/N wasn’t blind and she noticed this on the seventh day.
With a heavy heart that was cracking, she trudged back home and lied down on her bed, curling up like a half-heart. Everything will be fine, it’s okay, he’ll come back home, he’ll come back for me, with me.
So I’ll go, fill up the cracks, cause I swear that we could make it back
The days went by. They never broke up, but they never hung out as much as they used to. Daishou only hung out with her to lead her on and make sure that she was still by his side. He didn’t want to break her heart. He wanted to fall back in love with her. Rocket science would have been much easier to do than fall back in love with Y/N L/N.
If you try a little harder like the way that you used to, when you cared about someone other than you
Y/N couldn’t stop thinking about him, no matter how hard she tried. She recalled all of their memories, the letters he would give her, the looks he would gaze at her with, the kisses they had shared. It was just a distant memory at this point and she didn’t want to let it go. Not yet anyways.
A voice told her, Let him go. I’ll be with you.
Come home, then you would kiss me in the moonlight, I wanna love you but we live to fight
The saga continued. It felt as if it was a chore to love Daishou when he was clearly falling for Mika. Daishou thought it was a chore to love Y/N and he said it to himself. He admitted it to himself with shame and embarrassment. The girl he had loved for years, now getting away from his grasp. But it was his fault and he didn’t want to admit it.
And making love shouldn’t be an obligation, yeash, we were passionate but now we’re only faking
Y/N stepped up to him after a hard practice and he said, “Y/N, what’s up?”
No sweet pea. Just Y/N. She swallowed dryly and said, “My darling, I don’t know how much that I could take this.”
Daishou stared at her and led her away from the gym. He stared right into her eyes. “No, don’t tell me this, Y/N, please.”
“What’s the point? You don’t love me anymore. Say it.” She spat the words out bitterly. He only gazed at her, his heart not leaping anymore, just thumping. With that look, Y/N slammed a note into his hand and ran a different direction. Daishou wearily opened the note and read:
L is for the way you lie to me O is for the other one you see V is for vindictive, chew my heart and then you spit it E hurts even more, but who knows what I keep hoping for.
He stared at the note before bed. He stared at the note during class. He stared at the note before practice. His heart raced knowing that he was going to be free but it also made his stomach hurt to know that he was going to leave his first love, the only love he had cared about most.
That day, he went to her and said, “If love is crumbling before our eyes...” He touched her cheek gently, like he used to do. “...Oh, my dear, we just can’t get it right. Look at me, sweet pea.”
Y/N stared at his eyes, which were full of neutrality. Her eyes were full of broken glass, a metaphor for her heart. She blinked back her tears and said, “So take the memories and won’t you hold them close for me...”
“I’m so sorry, Y/N.” He looked up to see Mika waiting for him, a gentle expression on her face as she looked on. “I’ll always care for you. Just in a different way.” He squeezed her shoulder and walked towards his new love, leaving Y/N with a broken heart, eyes brimming with tears and her mind in overdrive.
She didn’t know what to do next except let all of her tears out.
‘Cause love’s not what it used to be, my baby, love’s not what it used to be

S/o or crush in their sweater pt.2
Konoha Akinori
Being the girlfriend of Konoha comes with many advantages, one of them being able to see him during practice. It was cold so y/n grabbed a sweater that Konoha forgotten the last time he was at her house. With the two being in different years, Y/b being a second year while Konoha is a third year they didn’t see each other the whole day. With the school day finally ending, the boys walking to the locker rooms. They saw Y/n and they noticed the big sweater she was wearing, “HEY HEY HEY Y/N!!! ISN’T THAT KONOHA’S SWEATER?!?!” The girl’s cheeks tinting a light shade off pink, her shyly nodding her head, she didn’t notice her boyfriend sneaking up behind her. “Hey” Konoha whispered in her ear making her slightly flinch, before she can turn around Konoha wrapped his arms around her waist. The boys leaving the couple alone, y/n turning to return the hug saw the beet red face of her boyfriend. “Why is her face red? Aki-Senpai?” Konoha just melted into her arms from the sight of her in his sweater. Leaning in to give her a loving kiss, once the two separated Konoha spoke. “mmm, you look so adorable in my sweater. Where it for me more?” “Gladly”
Daishou Suguru
Everyone on the Nohebi volleyball team knows that once Daishou Likes a girl he is literally in love. After Mika broke up with him, a few months later Daishou started falling for 2nd year L/n Y/n. Anything the girl did ended up making the captain flustered, he did everything to get closer to her. Ate lunch with her, asked about her interests, walked her home after her club activities. What he didn’t know was that she always returned his feelings, she didn’t wanted to get her hopes up if it was a prank. Winter had just arrived and it was getting colder, especially during the night. Daishou and Y/n were walking down the road to go home, Daishou was still hot from practice so he wasn’t really cold. Y/n on the other hand was freezing, she was just wearing her school uniform and thigh high socks. Daishou noticed her body shiver so he quickly went into his volleyball bag and pulled out his sweater. “Here wear this, I don’t want you to get cold.” Y/n shyly taking the sweater stopped walking to put it on. Once she was done putting it on, Daishou felt all his blood rush to his face. His sweater covered her all of her uniform, so it looked like she was just wearing his sweater and thigh highs. “Suguru-Senpai are you alright?” “Have I told you, you look beautiful?” “B-Beautiful?” “Yeah...You should wear my sweater again. A-Anyway lets get going!!” Daishou started walking, Y/n running to catching up to him and wrapped her arms around him. The two smiling at one another.

Haikyuu boys as songs on my spotify playlists P. 5, (Other characters + girls)
Warning, songs contain talk about: violence, sex and drugs.
Yuji Terushima: Pussy Talk by City Girls (feat. Doja Cat)
You know damn well that Terushima-san is a fuckboy, not saying that's immediately horrible i'm just stating facts. He might look like he gets bitches but he's for sure a virgin. He likes any song that gives him confidence, so when he hears pussy talk he goes all out, i mean this grown ass man dances.
Suguru Daisho: Molly by Mindless Self Indulgence
Was this one self indulgent? Yeah. Daisho-san gives me punk vibes and like,,, awooga. He for sure likes songs that get him pumped up before games and Molly is exactly the song to do that. Even with his breakup from Mika he seems to be insanely persistent and probably is one of those guys who unironically says “I still see her shadows in my room.” which pains me a bit to think about.
Kiyoomi Sakusa: Devil Town by Cavetown
Sakusa-san gives me a “divorced parents” vibe, and as someone who has divorced parents I will defend this on a hill and die for it. The song itself isn’t overwhelming, so I think he likes it because it's almost a calm pain to him. And, with my head cannon that he has divorced parents, it fits even better.
Shinsuke Kita: Saturn Suv by Fredo Disco
Sweet farmer boy needs sweet sonG- wow I haven’t expressed my love for Kita-san ever on this website and that thought physically pains me tbh. He’s so sweet, so that's why I picked this bittersweet bop for him. It’s chill and almost controlling like he is, but not a bad controlling, more of a “guys-please-my-mom-is-home” controlling. 10/10 would recommend this song.
Aran Ojiro: Washing Machine Heart by Mitsuki
You might be wondering why I picked such a song for Mr. Man himself, but hear me out: He likes sad songs. Just like I've mentioned with many other soft boys before, he enjoys listening to sad songs even when he's not sad which I respect because,,, same here dude.
ON that note, I chose the washing machine heart because of how adult it sounded. Not in the sexual sense, but just in the “grown-up heartbreak” sense.
Atsumu Miya: Asshole by Hooligan Chase
This physically pained me to find on my playlist and so I deleted it immediately after finding it. ‘Tsumu-san gives me massive cishet man energy and that isn’t exactly good to think about. He reminds me of a frat boy named Jake who’s favorite thing is to fuck the holes in the wall that he punched. Doesn’t mean I hate Atsumu-san though! Actually, I find him and his brother very relatable and enjoy how they fight because me and my siblings did that kinda thing.
Osamu Miya: Lotta True Crime by Penelope Scott
Anyways, ‘Samu-san here gives me the energy that he binges true crime shows often with the team, ‘Tsumu probably calls Osamu a serial killer and gross and well,,, everything else you can fill in. The song itself is bitter and sarcastic, just like he can be and personally I find it super catchy (well, I enjoy all of Penelope's songs) and sad. The image of Osamu-san listening to true crime podcasts while getting stoned in his later years brings tears of joy to my face.
Rintaro Suna: As The World Caves In by Matt Maltese
A sad song for a boy who for sure has at least some sort of mental illness (I say that as someone who has mental illnesses). I believe that Suna-san has depression due to how burnt out he constantly is. As someone who again loves sad songs, I feel like he would just constantly have one on in his headphones. Give this man some therapy and a break.
Korai Hoshiumi: Verbatim by Mother Mother
Lil man really whipped out the energy when we first met him- he low-key scared me because I saw him and thought that he’d be quiet and sweet but oh boy was I wrong. I was also a little stuck on a song for him so I had to consult the Hoshiumi kinnies and they came up with Verbatim, which is on my playlist. Thank you, Hoshiumi kinnies, thank you. If you are a Hoshiumi kinnie, you are iconic and i appreciate you!
Takanobu Aone: Mr. Loverman by Ricky Montgomery
Wow anyways this song makes my aone kinnie go brr. Like completely brr. Aone-san gives me a soft indie, hot cup of tea, sweaters, knitting, and baking vibes. You may see him as a scary giant but I see him as a very big polar bear who needs a hug! He probably relates to the song because of how everyone views him as the Iron Wall and not a person, just the longing to feel loved and appreciated by someone is the main reason he’d relate so much. I would also bake brownies with Aone-san any day.
Kenji Futakuchi: Hayloft by Mother Mother
Our edgy king here for sure is a bastard. He’s cocky, funny, and sly with his rude comments causing me to think of an intense song for him. Hayloft is also an absolute banger of a song, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he had it be Date Tech’s theme song for the time being. I think that he’d also go to mother mother concerts and just be so confused, like if he went to an american mother mother concert he’d be looking at everyone there and just “woah” you also can’t tell me he wouldn’t want an alt S.O.
Kanji Koganegawa: Pretty Rave Girl by S3RL
Wow, me and Koganegawa-san here seem to have the exact same taste in music! When I hear pretty rave girls I go ape. I mean I shake my hands in front of my face because of the happy simulation! It’s such a cute song and the crunch is sooo perfect. I can see Koganegawa being into hyperpop and hardcore music like sewerslvt and SugarCrash! Like tendou-san and lev-san. He for sure sings the song when he gets up in the morning and blasts it in his car! The cute wholesome love song makes his heart go brr, and mine does too!
Ittetsu Takaeda: Breezeblocks by Alt-J
Man would listen to this and go full English teacher like the nerd he is, but then again I don't blame him because I honestly do too! This song was an old hyper-fixation of mine and so when I think of Takaeda, I think of Breezeblocks. All the literary devices and how the song itself is formed to create the perfect horrifying story of murder and cleaning up the crime scene all while talking about their lover is bone-chilling and I think Takaeda-san understands how messed up the song is but just really enjoys the cover that the love aspect almost is. Like when I first listened to Breezeblocks I thought it was a song about a lover leaving the singer, not the singer killing someone(possibly his lover) and covering it up all while thinking about his S.O. dark but great song, 10/10 childhood would be ruined again.
Keishin Ukai: Scotty Doesn’t Know by Lustra
Ah yes, Ukai here is punk and we all know it; and as someone who sees Ukai and gets many mixed feelings, I say we talk about highschool ukai. He mentioned that he didn’t get good grades when he was younger. Keishin-san reminds me of someone who got high instead of doing schoolwork, which like same but bro c’mon you gotta balance the zoot. Keishin-san also reminds me of a crust punk in the sense of how he acts: he’s super cool and if you're wrong he isn’t afraid to tell you you're wrong. He also gives me the vibes that he’d call out TERF’s on the streets and save girls from being harassed/assaulted. An absolute king if I say so myself.
Saeko Tanaka: Girls In Bikinis by Poppy
Ah yes, a bicon in her full beauty! Saeko for sure would be one hell of a partier and she for sure has had some drunken kisses with cute girls. And, we have to remember she is a tanaka, ryunosuke is literally her brother. Of course, simp runs in their veins, and god, what I would do for her to just give me a thumbs up or any positive affirmation. Oh and she for sure kicks TERF’s in the shins with Ukai-san. Someone get her a monster and a crown because she’s the queen :)
Akiteru Tsukishima: Boys Will Be Bugs by Cavetown
As Akiteru-san here has struggled with self esteem before and not wanting to let people down, I saw BWBB and instantly understood why it stands out to me so much when I think about him. The song itself is about giving into harmful stereotypes because that's how the world and people see you. Boys are often seen as people who aren’t allowed to have feelings due to toxic masculinity and I think that the reason he lied to his brother could’ve been influenced by that.
Kiyoko Shimizu: Sweet Hibiscus Tea by Penelope Scott
Sweet hibiscus tea is one hell of a song for people who don’t feel like enough, and that's exactly how Kiyoko-san feels. I can see her for sure feeling like an outsider to her own life. So many people look up to her and she doesn’t know why, her low self-esteem is something that I've come to understand after watching Haikyuu. Give her some tanaka and she’ll be fine.
Hitoka Yachi: Oblivion by Grimes
Our favorite ball of anxiety for sure is scared about walking home, she has a great reason to be anyways! What’s scarier than being kidnapped? Nothing tbh, shits horrifying (I say as someone who was indeed almost kidnapped). Yachi always thinks that the worst will happen and prepares for it, but then again I can’t blame her.

The weekend(Daishou Sugru x Reader)
genre: songfic, angst, cheating
pairings: Daishou x Mika, Daishou x reader
Song: The weekend- SZA
WC: 900
MASTERLIST
You say you got a girl,
yeah, how want me? How you want me when you got a girl?
It was a friday night when you first saw him, he had a girl clunged onto his arm. They entered the coffee you worked in, and they took a seat. The scents of chocolate and coffee that filled the air were replaced by their love. For a second, you wished to have what they had; her face showed nothing but joy and happiness, and you could hear her giggles. To say she was pretty was an understatement, so you wondered why, why were his eyes on you, and not on her? You were no fool -you had seen the way he looked at you, and it was not in the way you should look at your server. You believed she did not catch onto it; she wouldn’t have been so lively if she did, and she would not have left with him. Especially if she had noticed the number he had written onto the bill.
The feeling is reckless, Of knowing it’s selfish,
And knowing i’m desperate.
You didn’t know why you texted him -you knew it couldn’t lead to anything serious, and you didn’t want to be a homewrecker- but you did. You had not slept that night, not after knowing what you just did. Texting a man in a relationship. Yes, he was beautiful, yes, you liked the way your name rolled off his tongue when he called you for the bill. But still, how did you sink so low? You could have easily go in a club and picked a random man, but you didn’t, you chose him, when you knew he was taken.
Getting all in your love, falling all over love, like,
Do it till it hurt less.
Hangin' out the back, all up in your lap
When you met him alone for the first time, it was supposed to be a one-time thing. You wondered if he had done it before, cheating. He seemed to know what he was doing and to know how to hide you from his girlfriend. You didn’t know when what you did turnt into more, it was not just lust anymore, not for you at least. You thought that you would forget about these feelings by spending more time with him - you had no choice but to admit it was stupid to think that. You truly believed that seeing him would remind you that he had a girlfriend who did not know about you, and that it would end up disgusting you of him. So you met him again and again, and you kissed him, again and again. You wished it had worked, for you would have hurt less.
Like is you comin' home? Is you out with her?
I don't care, long as you're here by 10:30, no later than
Drop them drawers, give me what I want
Daishou always came home to you on the weekends. He met you in front of your place every Friday night. Tonight, he had taken her to a movie theater. You had wondered, what would it feel like to go out with him like that? You erased those thoughts quickly, you didn’t want to stray even further from what your relationship with him should have been. You heard him knocking on the door, and you opened, just like you always did. And he held you, as he always did. He held you close, so close you could see his features bathed by moonlight. He really was a beautiful man, and you wondered why Nature would gift a man such as him with such a great figure. He lacked in nothing - not in wit, in intelligence, in beauty- but in faithfulness. You led him upstairs, and your bodies met each other once again.
My man is my man, is your man, heard is her man too
My man is my man, is your man, heard is that’s her man
What you did not expect, was to find Daishou hands clasped with another girl’s. Not Mika’s. Not yours. So, he really was a player. You were shocked, you knew about Mika, hell, he was with her the first day you met him. So why did he have another girl, and why did he hide her from you? He played all of you. You did not want Daishou Suguru to become the bane of your existence, so you decided it was time to remind yourself of why you started doing that. Because of lust, because you found in him a handsome man, and a weekend’s entertainment. You went back to your weekly distraction, and nothing changed, because deep down, you had always known that no loving relationship could bloom of what you had.
You like 9 to 5, I’m the weekend,
Make him lose his mind every weekend.
This all started because he fell into a routine, and you knew it. Every weekend, he found a newborn flame in himself. You were his je-ne-sais-quoi that kept him going, that gave him motivation to go through another week once again. You were both burning with carnal passion each time you saw each other. But you both knew it wasn’t enough, and that it never would be, for you couldn’t afford to lose yourselves in what seemed like meaningless feelings.
A/N: sooo I wished I had managed to make this even sadder but I didn’t :/// i really love this song (or just sza’s songs tbh) and I thought it would be really interesting to write something to it. I picked Daishou cuz I really like his character, and I wish there were more writings for hil. but don’t get me wrong, i’m pretty sure canon daishou would NEVER cheat on Mika, and I really ship them (youve seen how she invested herself in vb after she saw how much Daishou likes it ?? made me became #1 Mika protector). I was thinking of writing more songfics, even using some songs that aren’t in english but then I’m like :/// should i translate them or nah? so il confused

Just saw Numai's chapters and it reminded me to tell you I LOVE how in one of your Suguru chapters you mentioned how reader and Suguru's relationship started by him going to her for comfort after his breakup with Mika I'm a sucker for relationships that start like that
Oh, yes! I love relationships that start like that, too. Honestly there's nothing so pure in my mind than best friends slowly falling in love. But a best friend coming for comfort (whether it be sexual or just a hug and to vent) and finding themselves healing with their best friend and ending up in love with them instead of their ex just 😫 a dream, honestly

“True, but it would be better if I knew it was the perfect place. At least tell me what kind of food you like the most, then.” Suguru fights hard to get to know her. He wonders if Mika has a weird food preference, or a ton of allergies that make it hard to open up about it. Arms around her waist, he doesn’t want to let her go until he knows.
Mika’s face falls a little, and she stares at her knees. “I like… curry. The spicy sort.”
Suguru perks up. He knows just the guy to tell him the best places for that dish.
Slice of life sugumika!! I love this pair so much and after I saw a cute snapchat art of them, I couldn’t hold back anymore 8DD They’re sooooo goddamn adorable (/ v\) | Dating for fools; volleyball idiot edition : 4281 words

I really like Daishou x Mika! She brings out a different side of that snake (something which canon has yet to fully explore), and it can be interesting to view this competitive/gruelling/ male athletes story from a girlfriend’s perspective.
I also love that Daishou and Kuroo went to middle school together. I wonder if Mika was their classmate since they seem to know each other. I once saw a headcanon where... bb Daishou admired Kuroo and wanted to play volleyball together, but Kuroo only hung out with Kenma. Daishou was jealous and acted mean to Kenma, which pissed Kuroo off and he disliked Daishou ever since.
THERE IS SO MUCH POTENTIAL W THESE 4 CHARACTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But fandom hasn’t picked up on it aye.... Other than this book by Torino, there hasn’t been any release about my DREAM FOUR sigh....
Being Torino, this story is....wild lol.
Mika bumps into Kenma one day and drags him off.
Nekoma is shook that Kenma gets approached by a girl (before any of them does lmao), so they trail the two to a restaurant and spy on their conversation.
It turns out she wants to talk to Kenma about Kuroo and Daishou... As she suspects her boyfriend is cheating on her with Kuroo lmaooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn’t help that Kuroo and Daishou are having a private meeting of their own at this restaurant....
Although to anyone with eyes, it’s obvious the two captains don’t get on but the sight of them in proximity sets Mika’s jealous rage OFF THE SCALE.
(also RIP Yamamoto after getting an upskirt view)
She attacks Daishou but when he denies cheating....
....Kuroo becomes the sole target of her rage lol. When he calls out to Daishou to stop her, Mika’s like “don’t you dare speak Suguru’s name you thieving cat!!!!!!!!!”
This whole thing is becoming a complete SCENE in the restaurant and everyone’s begging Kenma to do something.
In order to put an end to this MESS, Kenma jumps out and announces KUROO IS DATING ME.
Kenma’s sacrifice brings a peaceful end to this debacle....
CONGRATULATIONS ❤
Mika & Daishou immediately go into the “tehe I’m so silly, sorry bae” / “silly boo I luv u” mode and leave as a happy couple.
Whereas Kuroo is like “please look after me from now on (I have been waiting all my life for this moment so let’s get this beautiful relationship started)” but Kenma’s already like “sorry (I don’t wanna go out with you)”.
kuroken when Kuroo acts a fool is a beautiful thing. :’))))
