Launched in 2017 the first album of the DJ and music producer TelefunkSoul, mixes the rhythms of Afoxés of Bahia next to tributes to the blocks of Bahia. Celebrating a year of release, the album receives global remixes renewing Bahian music. It was 2017 when in 10 tracks, Telefunksoul mixed the sound of world bass with the percussion of the Bahian Blocks. For those who do not know, these blocks wrote the sonority of music in Bahia and the various genres such as samba reggae, ijexá, pagode, arrocha, bafifun carnival ... For Brazil, few blocks stood out as Olodum, Ilê Ayê and Filhos de Gandhi, are some of the examples. After a year of release, the album gained a new face with remixes from several producers, presenting the versatility that Bahian music has in adhering to new garments, always relying on the concept of percussion and rhythm. The producers were: DJ Werson, Golden Kong, Ruxell, Neki Stranac (Serbia), DJ Ops, Forró Red Light, Lerry, Weber, BBHT and Hugo Iklab. Tocando nas principais casas de shows pelo Brasil e nos festivais mais importantes, o DJ e produtor Mauro Telefunksoul, agora assinando somente como Telefunksoul tem feito cada vez mais tracks surpreendentes. Precursor do movimento BAHIA Bass ao lado dos parceiros Andre T , Lord Breu , Telefunksoul lançou recentemente o vinil BAHIA Bass ( mistura da bass music com musicalidade baiana , como samba reggae , ijexá , arrocha , pagode, samba de roda) em parceria com a The Finds e apresentou o seu single em collab com a cantora Jadsa Castro e o MC Fabio Lima, um Afrohouse intitulado “Afroketuh” um tributo ao bloco Araketu. Com mais de 25 anos de estrada, o DJ está em finalização de um disco em homenagem aos blocos afro. Olodum, Ilê Aiyê, Cortejo Afro, Muzenza são alguns dos grupos percussivos no álbum Afroxé Bass. Em sua última participação no baile “Qual é o Pente que te Penteia?”, Telefunksoul recebeu Duda, cantor da Banda Diamba para um live que abalou as estruturas da Casa Almendra no Rio Vermelho em Salvador.
