I waited so long for this moment, for Nolan and Amanda to finally express their long harbored feelings. It killed me (in the best way possible) when Nolan realized he was in love with Amanda shortly before we learned Amanda felt the same way. Towards the end of season 2, they were so close to working out their relationship. Unfortunately, the world was falling apart around them. They were hanging on by their fingernails, more focused on surviving than on their feelings... until they both started to crack under the pressure, unable to push aside their humanity forever.

It took an entire season after they admitted their feelings for Nolan and Amanda to finally kiss, but in many ways, it was worth the wait. For all of season 3, Nolan stood by Amanda, believing in her when few others did, when her town, her friends, and her surrogate sister doubted her. And Amanda stood by Nolan’s side when he was falling apart and the VC wanted him dead. She collected money to save him, and even faked his death to hide him. Their relationship was stronger than ever in season 3. They had worked through their differences, putting complete faith in each other as they formed a mature partnership, lifting each other up and supporting each other when they needed it most.

This wasn’t their first kiss, but it was a kiss that meant so much more than any kiss before. They need each other. They love each other, and it was never more clear why they belong together than it was by the end of season 3.
