I saw in the post listing the statuses of the Celestials that Ansiel is dead. Who killed him and why? Ansiel was the godly artisan and the Hypogeans could’ve captured and made him create things for them.

And what was Orthros’ reaction to the death of what was essentially his father?

Ansiel was indeed a useful asset which is why the Hypogeans tried to capture him first but when it didn't work, they ended up killing him. I will give more details when I get to his character profile. As for who killed him, let's just say Mortas had a hand to play in that. They did, however, manage to capture Haelus. And seeing as Haelus managed to impress (and outdo) Ansiel while he was still just a human, he was deemed a high-priority asset as well.

Orthros didn't have much time to react as he is currently recovering his strength and largely doesn't know what's going on outside. But he will absolutely be devastated after he finds out, much like he was with Dura. Who knows, it might even be enough to lead him to tamper with time and space again, much to Zolrath's amusement.

Everything in our world is temporary. Cities and empires fall and are forgotten under the dust, Swords and plowshares alike rust and crumble. Even mountains, seemingly eternal to the mortals whose lives are so brief by comparison, are worn down to their roots under countless dawns. Only the gods escape what for all else is inevitable. They stand alongside time itself as the sole inheritors of the infinite.

Before the celestial realm of the gods was ravaged by the forces of darkness, there stood a glimmering clock tower, crafted by the heavenly carpenter Ansiel. The clock in the tower, however, didn't simply tell the time. Rather, time followed its dictate. Minutes and hours and days marched dutifully behind the turning hands of the divine artifact. Ansiel's skill was such that the clock was imbued with a sort of sentience that developed and expanded as time went by. Dura herself honored the clock-entity with a name. Orthros. In the first battle against the Hypogeans, Orthros fought alongside Dura. It was when she fell that Orthros discovered his ability to literally turn back the hands of time. She stood again as blood from the fallen returned to wounds and eyes previously closed in death opened. Armies sheathed their swords and marched backwards into the gates that had spilled them forth. All but the gods themselves were unaware that they had been given a second chance.

Dura fell again, and again time was reversed. In each iteration, she fell, and the outcome only became increasingly dire for the forces of light and life. In a final bid for victory, Orthros took time back to before the invasion had even begun. Dura commanded that this time, he leave it. Her fate was her fate, and no amount of meddling would change that.

Since then, Orthros has taken little notice in the affairs of the mortal realms. For eons, he steadily maintained the flow of the temporal stream and did little else. It wasn't until learning of another entity with powers similar to his own that he stirred. A demon has been blinking in and out of various points in the continuum to change past and future. Time, however, is the domain of Orthros and Orthros alone. He will not allow another to twist it to their own designs. (AFK Arena Moment)

Your recent post reminded me of my own take on Ansiel in which he was a spider that was accidentally ascended into a god. I always took Ansiel as having spider motifs since spiders are animals that naturally create things.

This actually sounds great. I mean, it makes sense in spiders motif? And spiders are wonderful!

Oh, can you tell more about your Ansiel? Please? Does he have backstory/lore? How is he look like?

I always wanted to communicate with someone character-to-character and since we have not so much about canon Ansiel, and communication of au-ish Ansiels might be nice idea. Do they get along?No pressure of course. Heh... sorry.

It's asexual week, so I, as an asexual (aroace actually) and the person with hyperfixation on one Chinese mobile gatcha game, want to share my ace/acespec (and maybe aro) headcannons about my favourite characters in the AFK Arena. And my OCs for afka! (It's mostly for my au, sooooo)

Orthros and Ansiel. Both aroace. "Sex is boring...": "...I read about it" for Orthros. And "... I already tried" for Ansiel. Actually like joke sexual jokes, but only to annoy others. Ansiel do it almost to everyone. Orthros almost only to Zolrath. (And Zolrath is aro. lol)

Asterius (OC, fankid of Orthros and Zolrath). Asexual and demiromantic. Uses most people's ability to feel attractions to confuse them and make them more open to manipulation. Or for fun. (Yeah, shapeshifter's fun!)

Haelus and Gezo. Both demisexuals. Haelus is technically bi, but he still doesn't know this coz never had a strong connection with a female person. Gezo likes women, with one exception: Haelus. Does he realize that? Do any of them realize that? Not really.

Walter (OC fankid, Ansiel's son). Grey, both for ace and aro. Don't like an idea of being at the relationships. For everything else just don't care, if it works - it works. If not, well fine, he has a lot of different things to do in his life.

Khazard and Fedya (celestial OC). Somewhere at the asexual spectrum, but where? Nobody knows. Neither me nor them. The only ones who have stable queerplatonic relationships, even if they don't know what it is.

Maybe I'll draw some of them, even after ending of ace week :)

So, what are going to do? I love them, I'm going to do it every year. My son deserves it. Love him so much

Technically, I'm late, coz his birthday is at 4th of November, in my time zone it's already 5th, but... I don't care. I was celebrating, drawing and feeling bad today. As my friend said, "Astir wouldn't mind if you decided not to torture yourself"

My Ansiel and Honas have a very toxic relationship (it’s not a romantic relationship but to someone on the outside, it could appear romantic). Honas often tries to hurt or kill Ansiel, sometimes succeeding in hurting him, but never killing him. Ansiel heckles and harasses Honas with carefully crafted words, poisons him to make him sick, and just judging and criticizing Honas for how he sees the world in black and white. Sometimes they’re too tired to fight and just sit very close to each other to piss the other off. Honas is more pissed off about Ansiel replacing him as the father in Annih’s life (he doesn’t really like or understand the concept of adoption).

After Honas fell into a slumber, Ansiel found where he was and often talks to him, taunting him about the death of Dura. Sometimes, just sometimes, the Heavenly Spider will take a part of the grand Honas, just as a snack.

Also, the sone Villian by Stella Jang fits Ansiel as you can see it as him criticizing Honas about his monochromatic views.

wow, that's sound tense. and your Ansiel is ancient if he caught Honas, amazing oh, did Ansiel have something specific claims about Honas' "black and white vision", like Honas did something bad\careless\else coz of that, or this is just "i don't like your worldview"? (Does Honas taste good? :D sorry)
