There is no pain in her chest when xe approaches her,       which can only mean one thing: not a demon. Aeri doesn't know, however, whether that's a good or a bad thing. Especially when she is but a mortal being who can barely throw regular punches. Xyr smile eases her up, though, slowing down her heartbeats and making Aeri feel like she is not in danger (even though xyr words sound like a mild threat). Maybe it's just a warning. Maybe xyr isn't looking to add her pretty body to xyr body count. "I usually don't come here this late at night." Because xe is right: while Portum is safe, the outskirts might not be as safe.

Her tongue draws in her bottom lip for the young medium to bite on it, slightly hesitant in offering her hand, but what the hell... right? Imo Hera would let her eomma know if something happened to her. "I... will keep that in mind... thank you? Unless that was a threat... was—that a threat? I can't really read your tone." Leaving little to no space between her words as her thoughts raced through her mind, trying to figure the creature out, Aeri finally drew out her hand. She would, at least, try to be peaceful. "I—I'm Aeri. Jeong Aeri. Or... Aeri Jeong. People use first names first here... right."

hearing the young woman's startled exclamation, xe resists the urge to roll xyr eyes — he was hardly stepping quietly. then again, she did say she wanted to be alone with her thoughts, and cris knows what it's like to lose sight of one's surroundings while thinking. still, xe offers a smile, hoping to relax her a little. “ relax, to my knowledge the whole shore is public property, ” cristian says. “ i was just surprised — i don't think i've seen you down this way before. ” says guy who's been here all of a month, but whatever. “ pretty as it is, you ought to be careful not to lose yourself too deeply in your thoughts. the town may ostensibly be safe, but the outskirts are ... wilder. it's best to be cautious. ”

Sometimes some peace and quiet were long overdue in Aeri's life   ,   and so, she found herself driving to the docks and eventually walking along the pier and watching as the afternoon slowly turned into the evening, painting the sky in all of these different colors. Her mind was filled with all of the things that had happened lately and her encounter with the demon Jae Seong had placed more questions in her head than given her answers, so, here she was.

Aeri didn't notice the vampire's presence until xe spoke to her, startling her at the same time. "깜짝이야!" The brunette jumped a little, resorting to her mother language. That was scary! She had meant to say, but a sweet laugh followed the words in Korean, because she always did laugh when she was nervous or embarrassed. "I... just needed some time with my thoughts." Aeri drew in a breath as an attempt to calm herself down. "I hope I'm not tresspassing? I don't think I am, though?"

the shore, ft. open

pebbles crunch beneath xyr feet as cristian walks along the shore, taking in the salty air. the docks are always busy, and while xe enjoys the work ( if only for getting to spend time around boats ) cris needs a break every now and again to clear xyr head from the noise. the downside to having enhanced senses, but as downsides go it's hardly terrible — xe prefers the peace of areas further from the town centre anyway.

except it appears his peace is not to be preserved today — at the sound of footsteps behind him, cris slows and turns. “ i did not expect to see you so far from town, ” he comments idly, with a raised eyebrow — challenging the interloper, though not outright.
