Tuesday February 25th

Some winter sunset work at the college library. Featuring the Oxford uni graduate admissions page, as I am heavily considering a PhD. There are some wonderfully engaging PhD’s on literature and religion.

I’ve got a bundle of papers due over the next two weeks, so I’ll be buckling down after my reading week break. Which is good for me productivity wise, and good for you all who get more content out of me.

Anyone else considering a PhD? What programs and schools interest you?

Tuesday, March 4th

I was on campus for a seminar this afternoon, and I decided to stay into the evening to get some schoolwork done. I am studying in the formal lounge of my college this afternoon. It has lovely art, but is unfortunately a bit colder.

I had a very rough two weeks there in which I got almost nothing done (and didn’t post), so I am getting caught up and back on the horse this week.

Tonight I get to go see Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker, do a talk at the city library. I love baking, and my family has Scottish ancestry, so I am looking forward to those two things coming together.

Thursday December 14th

On campus again today. After picking up a book at the University College library, I’m working at Robart’s library this evening. But on a different floor this time to change things up.

As this paper nears completion the book stack gets larger. I am glad it will be finished today (it has to be, it’s due at midnight), but I will miss the process. It’s been nice to get back into the groove of schoolwork after everything.

Wednesday August 14th

I’m on campus this afternoon. I have the final exam for my Greek History class in a week, so I am studying at the main library until supper. I have already done up my study schedule for the exam, and I know I will be prepared if I stick to it. So now it’s just an exercise in discipline.

It’s hot here today, so the ac in the library is very nice. I also got an iced matcha latte to help myself cool down and stay focused. It’s my emotional support venerate of the day.

Monday August 19th

More library study this afternoon. My final exam is in two days, so I’m planning on putting in a full day of studying both today and tomorrow. It’s actually nice to spend time immersed in studying. Especially when other things in my life are up in the air.

I’m hoping to be moving soon. However that’s always a lot to deal with, even at its’ easiest. So filling my mind with Greek History instead of moving concerns is a nice break.

It’s finally getting cool here. It was sweater temperature out this afternoon. I didn’t bring one, because I assumed it would be warmer, and thus missed out on a cardigan opportunity. Alas. This means it’ll be cooler more often now, though, which I welcome with open arms. This summer was too hot for me.

Thursday September 12th

Third class day of the new fall semester, yay! And the second day of New Testament Greek classes. I am really excited for this course. I am taking three others as well.

I also got cast in the lead for the school’s upcoming production of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Rehearsals start tomorrow evening. Exciting!

Friday July 26th

I was on campus early for a midterm exam make-up test this morning. I think it went well. I forgot a few details, but overall I think I did alright. Now I have an hour until class, so I am enjoying the sunshine. I adore the combination of older and more modern architecture in this university building. I will do some work in a bit, but I’m taking a break first.
