Conditioned whumpee, whose caretaker is trying to convince xem it's ok to take off the collar now that whumper's gone.

Whumpee decides, in xeir head, that xey could explain to whumper if xey are recaptured that xey downgraded xeir collar because whumper wasn't there to give orders. See, xey still wore a collar, it's just made out of leather instead of gold. See, xey didn't think for a moment xey could be free.

And this way, Caretaker can be satisfied about aer "progress" in the meantime.

Is it weird that I prefer to go by gender neutral pronouns online but go by she/her in real life?

You owe nobody online "accurate" information about yourself - if you're comfortable with they/them or whatever other set it may be because of privacy or because you like that pronoun set, and it isn't anybody's "right" to know.

Basically, do what makes you comfortable. It isn't weird at all to exist in different spaces differently. We are all, to some extent, presenting ourselves in different ways depending on the context, how comfortable we are, what we do/don't want to conform to, and so many other factors.

#ask #anon #people sometimes think that you need to be ~authentic~ and never be different ever...#...but the only reason that it would be a problem is if you're being harmful...#...and using different pronouns in different settings is harming... literally *nobody*#authenticity from others is not your right #people will be as authentic as they want - and authenticity looks so different in different spaces/times/years/ect #that's a rant and i don't want to say anything about your authenticity...#...just that people have warped ideas on how authenticity looks and the public's entitlement to that authenticity #do y'all think i go by a million names irl? because that's the exact same situation as anon!#i go by 1000000 names here and irl i use only one #same thing with me using ae/aer on this account along with he/him. i use exclusively he/him irl and don't expect people to use anything else
