Today I've got a quick heads-up from the mods (nobody's in trouble!). Recently, we've had a couple of people leave the server without actually dropping their characters first, sometimes without telling anyone. Real life is always more important than RP, and we're all way more familiar than we want to be with sudden emergencies and mental health struggles, but it would be a massive help to the mods if people could send in hiatuses or drops to the blog before leaving. With a hiatus, you can close the server for a while and come back without having to re-app; if you properly drop, we can do things like open up housing, keep the masterlist up to date, and make sure you're not erroneously counted in activity checks. Any reason is good enough, and no reason has to be provided at all, we'd just appreciate it if you could let us know so we can keep everything running smoothly.

Also, regarding housing (good news this time, not a nag!), two new units have opened in every Sector--meaning currently, all of them have at least one unit open! We've also added apartment-style two-person housing at Eucalyptus Condominiums in Sector C, for those who don't want to take up a whole house for themselves. The condos have already proven popular, so it's a good time for your muse to look for somewhere to stay.

There's three things I want to mention!

Firstly, as you might've noticed, we're on Bluesky and are now accepting Bluesky as a form of contact! Say hi!

Second, if you have a muse still living in the tents, please check the #announcements channel! The tent situation is getting a bit out of hand and it'd be incredibly helpful for us if people considered moving their muses--muses can move even at rank 0 without paying any money, can choose to have roommates or live alone at their preference, and there's now a (work-in-progress) system to assign random roommates for those who want their characters to deal with that kind of chaos. Remember, your muse can always move again later if a spot opens up in a sector they really want!

And lastly, activity check starts at midnight this Sunday! Remember that activity made during the activity check itself will not count, so if you think you're a little under, send a couple of messages in chat over the next couple days!
