I left the toner on for considerably less time than the internet said I should. Nonetheless I way over shot Jerrica Benton, but still fell short of Jem. Decided to lean into it as hard as I could, anyway (which, given my wardrobe and overall aesthetics wasn't very hard at all). Anyway, not too bad for my first-ever attempt to tone my own hair. trying to capture this hair color, it photographs diff than it is in person. I could get used to the Rose color but the pale grey roots in my hair turned kinda ginger. I knew they wouldn't cover but I didn't think about them turning a strange warm shade. it's really obvious when I pin back my bangs or twist my hair up (which I do constantly) tried to show the color in the last pic. Back for more hair pictures. I know it's probably annoying at this point but I'm documenting the process. I was pleasantly surprised once my hair dried. Roots are still a bit golden but I actually like the dimension it brings. Rundown: bleached hair with a blue bleach (level 40, but I'd recommend starting with level 20 and take time to rebleach to desired color, I know it sucks waiting but you're hair will thank you) and developer ( sadly did not remember the brand of bleach but it was a blue packet from Sally's). Tried to tone with Manic Panic virgin snow. It basically did nothing because it was too light for getting out the yellow (it is more gentle on hair though if you need to touch up very light hair). Used Wella T-18 toner with level 20 developer. I thought my ends would be purple but once I washed and used a conditioning mask and let it dry I finally achieved very close to a Targaryen color. I'm happy with this base. We'll see what's next but this is the perfect base for some pastel action 😉#khaleesi #wella #targaryen #whitehair #adventuresinhairdye

I’m #ginger! put my fading treatment in to get out my blue & green (which had turned pastel purple & teal) - wasn’t sure how it would react w/the brown (diff kind of dye) it turned a multi toned pale red, actually quite pretty - the rest went back to blonde except for 2 green streaks that will drive me nuts til I re-color!! #adventuresinhairdye 🦊

In classic 'not giving an eff' style, I dyed my hair super dark brown. A little 'Snow White' with my current hair cut. Fortunately/Unfortunately getting it cut Friday so we'll see where this goes. #adventuresinhairdye
