Bruce was sitting in front of a fire. He had just gotten done cooking his dinner, and had began eating. A teen he didn’t recognize sat next to him. Bruce barely paid the teen any attention; in this time period, kids were more fiercely independent than the teens of his age were.

“So,” The teen drawled, getting his attention.

Bruce internally growled. He didn’t want to make small talk. Just as he was about to tell the teen off, the teen continued speaking.

“What’s Bruce Wayne doing in 1732?”

He choked on his food. He hadn’t heard that name in years. He had gotten stuck in the past during a League mission, and apparently, nobody could save him… or maybe they didn’t know when to look. He had covered his tracks well, since he didn’t want to disturb the timeline too much.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He deflected.

“Oh? So we’re playing it like that?” The teen hummed, swinging his legs. “You won’t be born for over two hundred years, in a city that doesn’t exist yet, to fight crime as the vigilante known as Batman.”

The teenager was a time traveller. Hope sparked him his chest. Maybe… maybe he could go home. “You’re a time traveller.” He chose to ignore the part where the teen knew he was Batman.

“Yeah,” The teen said. “I’m Danny. I’m from your future, about, uh, five years after you vanished? Dick adopted me. Found me dead in an alley and brought me back to life. Brought me into the fold, and stuff. I have powers, and one of them is to travel in time. You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find where you went.”

The teen looked like adoption bait. He could understand why Dick would’ve adopted him. But then again, he was still stuck on the part where Dick had adopted a kid at the same age he had adopted Dick.

“Are you here to take me home?” He asked.

“If you want to.” Danny hummed, “But uh, can’t be to the time you left. Timeline disruptions and all that, yknow? I can take you to my time. It’s like… ten years after you vanished.”

“Please.” Bruce begged. And how far had he fallen to beg a teen?

Danny grinned. “Dad’s going to be so jazzed!”

Simon Petrikov:

• To be honest, he’s also pretty cowardly, but although he isn’t as brave and strong as Finn and Jake , when it comes down to it he always puts your safety and wellbeing above all else, even his own.

• Even though he’s scared himself, he’ll try his best to be the knight in shining armor you deserve

• He’ll sit outside the dressing room in stores while you try on dress after dress, always telling you that you look beautiful no matter what you wear. To him, anything and everything looks good on you!

• Tries to help you apply your makeup, but he always gets flustered being so close to your face and might accidentally poke your eye trying to do your mascara (Sorry honey!)

• One thing he is good at is painting your nails, years of handling delicate artifacts has given him steady hands, and with enough practice he can make some pretty detailed designs

• If he sees a piece of jewelry or an accessory he thinks you might like, he’ll save up his salary to buy it for you as a gift. Eating nothing but cheap ramen and coffee for a month is totally worth it when he sees the smile on your face.

• If you ask him to get dolled up with you, he will be a little hesitant, saying that he could never look as good as you, but with enough persuading and some really good puppy eyes he’ll let you put him in a dress and some minimal makeup. Surprisingly, he finds he likes it more than he though he would!

Winter King:

• Literally a match made in heaven.

• Winter King’s whole thing is being the gentlemanly hero who swoops in to save damsels in distress like you, it feeds his ego so much.

• He’s always ready to valiantly save you from any threat, even something as simple as trying to get something off the top shelf. He’ll burst in the room shouting, “ Fear not, fair maiden! Your King is here to protect you!”

• Sometimes he’ll let Candy Queen kidnap you just so he can be the one to save you, he’s that confident that nothing bad can ever happen to you as long as he’s around.

• He is also very in touch with his feminine side, and he loves that the two of you share this!

• He’ll make matching ice themed outfits for both of you, loving how you look in those icy blues and powdery whites

• Like his voice actor BDG, he loves having his nails painted and will set up regular mani-pedi spa days for you both to relax together.

• Will make you a big, poofy princess gown and invite you to dance with him in the throne room, twirling you around like the scene in Beauty and the Beast.

• He just wants you to always feel as beautiful as he thinks you are.

• Contrary to popular belief, Marshall Lee is actually a good boyfriend and treats you like a princess… but you have to squint a bit because he doesn’t directly tell you. He’ll act almost the same way he does with Fiona, but underneath that façade, he does care for you.

- (Which is very surprising to Fiona because of all the shenanigans she and Cake get into because of Marshall, but I digress).

• He is extremely flirty with you. He even likes to tease you a bit.

• He loves it whenever he gets the chance to sing to you or show one of his new songs to you. He won’t make it a bit deal and gather a crowd. He’ll keep it lowkey. Just between you two.

- If you can sing? Then by all means, PLEASE join in!

• Marshall definitely writes songs for you and about you. And if you’re comfortable, he’ll try bringing you along to every party he attends where you can watch him sing.

• Because he’s a vampire, he is more active during the night. So, expect him to try and bother you (with the best intentions) in the dead of the night.

• When you go out on dates, don’t you dare touch his french fries! You already saw how badly that went with his mom.

• He won’t admit that he loves physical touch and I feel like that’s his top love language. So, whenever you get the chance to hold him or cuddle him? He is as happy as he can be. :))

• He would try and play pranks on you.

- And fail because you know him like the back of your hand.

- The aftermath would be very awkward. Marshall would just be standing there like: 0-0;;.

• This man showers you in compliments whenever and wherever he can!

• He loves watching movies at his place with you in pajamas.

- Would love it if both of you even wore matching ones. It would be so cute! 😭

A large part of the reason My Adventures with Superman is so good is that its abundantly clear the creators of this show don’t just love Superman, they love comicbooks!! And that will ALWAYS make the difference between a comic adaptation being good and sucking ass. You can love an IP or a character to the moon and back but if you think comics are less-than or not worth loving, then it’s gonna show and ur work’s gonna fall flat.

You were hanging out with Finn, Jake and fern watching Marceline’s show she was singing ‘I bet on losing dogs’ it was sad but beautiful. You were happy, you somehow made friends with them despite your shyness, but you especially felt shy around fern he just meant a lot to you.

“Man, Marceline is a good singer right?” Finn asked you “oh yeah it’s great.” You smiled you then felt fern hand on your shoulder “hey (y/n) we- “you (y/n) check this out!” You then payed attention to Finn again as he showed you the magic bracelet “it’s super cool, where did you get it?” You didn’t notice that fern became upset.

Suddenly fern had an idea He looked into his bag looking for something to grab your attention. “Hey (y/n) check this- “oh (y/n) I also have to tell you this crazy adventure me and Jake went on.” As Finn told you about his adventure.

Fern felt defeated, after all he always felt that Finn was just him but better version of him just then fern got up with looking back but you, Jake and Finn noticed.

“Fern?” You questioned but he didn’t hear you “that’s weird why did he leave?” Jake questioned “I don’t know.” Finn stated then, he had an idea “(y/n) you could check on him.” This made you nervous “wait I-I sh-should?” She smiled “yeah you should and it might break the ice with you two.” Just then Jake smirked this made you blush “you guys know do you?” They both smiled.

“Um yeah we do.” Finn answered “I… ok I’ll do it.” You stated “yeah way to go (y/n) now go get your man!” Spoke Jake this made you blush harder but you went after fern despite your stomach doing flips.

You looked around for him in the forest, you were talking to yourself trying but to build your confidence “ok (y/n) don’t do anything dumb.” You whispered.

You then saw fern around a pond throwing pebbles watching as they Bounced until their went into water, he sighed you became nervous so you hid behind tree to watch him until you had confidence to talk to him.

The fern begin talking to himself “Oh (y/n), I like you but, you like Finn I should’ve known Everyone loves Finn.” This shocked you, he liked you as well. “I just wish… you wanted me like I want you and that I had the guts to tell you about how I feel.”

You couldn’t help it but you immediately yelled out “I like you.” This made him gasp to turn around to see you, you realized what you done and cover your mouth “wait you… you like me?” He asked seeming extremely excited you looked into his eyes seeing his smile made you happy as well.

“Yeah I always have the moment I saw you.” This made his green face even more darker green “I wow I- it’s funny I thought you liked Finn for a while I was so jealous over nothing.” She laughed out feeling much better.

“Yeah I like you fern no need to feel jealous. Just then fern hugged you which you return both knowing this is a start of a beautiful relationship.
