... can’t, right? that... no, he can’t say something like that. amami can get away with it, with his baggy clothes and piercings and sultry bad-boy voice. but saihara has... some kind of image, and he doesn’t really want to risk someone hearing him say something crude and then spreading it around. besides, amami seems to be friends with ouma, and that’s... something the detective doesn’t want to get into.

perhaps others in their class might have thought rantaro amami is altogether too mysterious and strange to be worth approaching. fortunately, charlotte has never had a radar for these things. upon setting foot in this school, she hasn’t met a single npc. everyone just seems so exciting, so fascinating. like they really have something to offer her. it’s exciting, but... a little overwhelming. amami reminds her of someone she can’t quite place, or maybe he just reminds her of the kind of person she wants in her life.

she pretends she doesn’t want him to ruffle her hair when she skips up to him and beams. “rantaro! you just came back from ecuador, right? did you bring me anything? any souvenirs?” she’s almost bursting with excitement, unable to resist the urge to peek around him to see if he’s holding anything behind his back.

this was a goddamn nightmare. here norman was, about to bust a drug trafficking ring that the fbi had been tailing for months. they get there, they spring out, guns drawn... and there’s a fuckin’ kid there. not being trafficked, just... just watching. with this big old backpack on his back, and of course he ended up getting arrested, because god, he was hanging out with a drug traffickers. but norman couldn’t get his face out of his head. his chilling little smile. what was going on?

he approached the cell. he wasn’t a cop. he wasn’t an interrogator. he was just a profiler. a profiler from washington trying to work with the local police. a profiler who was really worried about this kid. “hey... do you speak english, kid?” his voice wasn’t loud, but it was accented heavily with some sort of bostonian-new-yorker fusion abomination.

“oh, is that so?” charles’ gloved fingers run nervously over the bear’s fuzzy ear. he has a box of stuffed toys back in his room, all of them well-worn. he pretends he doesn’t still hug them from time to time, when the house seems particularly oppressive and the floorboards creak at night. pretends those haunted souls haven’t seen him at his worst, haven’t stayed frightened and locked in a burdensome embrace. pretends he keeps them out of love and not out of a fear that the next person who receives them may be able to read their glassy eyes.

but, of course... that’s silly. of course he simply keeps them for sentimentality. “well... if you bought two, not wanting to separate them, shouldn’t you keep both?” his breath catches slightly in his throat, but his smile doesn’t waver. “really, i’m sure you’d make a more loving owner than i.”

I tend to be more of a listen to whats on kinda guy a lot of the time, but if I had to choose it’d probably be Nathan Sharp or Jonathan young. That said I also enjoy a few musical soundtracks now and again like Hamilton or Greatest Showman(Not you cats) and, of course, weeb shit.

oh! my birthday is on sunday! it’s january 19, and im turning 22. i was really nervous about this cause i dont really have as many irl friends as i’d like, but there’s a friend of mine in my class and i invited them to hang out with me on saturday night. which is cool! im looking forward to that

   The scrapbook feels so creative, and maybe even personalized for him, so he’s a bit awed to receive it as a gift. Gonta fights his own excitement in order to be ginger with it, turning the pages carefully so he can take everything in without trouble.

“Oh, Amami-kun. You’re very good at taking pictures! Some of these bugs Gonta’s never seen in person, and to think you stopped to admire them all like this…” 

Suddenly Gonta closes it, hugs it (gently, still) to his chest and grins at his fellow green-haired friend.

“Thank you! Gonta will take care of this!!”
