Welcome to the 1st round of Advent of Kiaz!

A promptfest aimed to create an influx of Kiaz and/or Xanner fanworks in the fandom.

Do you like looking at or getting inspired by prompts? Does Kiaz bring out your inner shipper and make you want to squeal with joy? If yes, then this fest is for you!

Advent of Kiaz is a Kiaz based promptfest running from the 1st December to 26th January for the ships Miguel Diaz/Robby Keene and Tanner Buchanan/Xolo Mariduena from the Netflix show Cobra Kai.

During this period you can submit Kiaz and Xanner prompts to your heart's content and look at and get inspired by all the other prompts posted by fans and shippers alike to create and post some amazing Kiaz fanworks. There is no limit to how many entries one can create so feel free to do as many or as little as you like (some may even get too excited and want to create for every day of advent (some is us. We are some 😉). And yes, of course, you can create for your own prompts too!

Author’s/Artist’s Notes: So in multiple parts of South America, including Ecuador, there is a holiday called Dia de las velitas (candles' day) where people light up a bunch of candles outside of their homes to like give way for the good spirits to enter their homes.And since it's today, I decided to write this!

Rules and Guidelines

Rules:

This is an all ages fest. Meaning anyone can submit a prompt and create for it. All we ask is that minors don't submit or create for an explicit prompt.

All ratings, pairings and RPF (real person fiction) are allowed provided that the main pairing is either Kiaz or Xanner. You can have any side-pairings. In case of an RPF fic, main characters must be 18+. Writing underage explicit scenes for any RPF characters is not allowed.

Fanworks must be in English for this round of Advent of Kiaz.

All fanworks must be hosted on AO3.

All fanworks must be tagged properly and appropriate warnings must be given wherever required.

Participants must complete and post their fanworks for the fest at the latest by the end of Amnesty i.e. 26th January EOD. No fanworks will be considered after that.

AI usage for this fest is strictly prohibited for this fest. Fanworks created using AI will not be considered. If used at all, then AI usage must be limited to inspiration only.

Creator Guidelines:

Participants must have an AO3 account as all posting will be done on ao3. If you don’t have an ao3 account, then you can request an invite here. It is suggested to request an invite as soon as possible as invites take upto two weeks to arrive.

Acceptable forms of fanwork for this fest are fanfics and fanart including drabbles, drawbbles, one-shots, longfic, traditional art, digital art, edits, manips and moodboards. Gifsets, playlists and podfics are not allowed for this round of Advent of Kiaz.

Fanworks created for this fest must not have been posted anywhere else before.

Participants can submit as many entries as they want.

Participants can collaborate on entries or work as a team. Collaborations can include fic + art collabs beyond the traditional fic only or art only collabs.

Minimum requirement for fanfic is 100 words (drabble). There is no maximum requirement.

WIP's (work in progress i.e. chapter-wise posting) are allowed for this fest.

Minimum requirement for fanart is 1 complete sketch (drawbble) in either traditional or digital method. Minimum requirement for edits is 1 complete photo-edit/photo-manipulation. Minimum requirement for moodboards is 3.

Beta-ing of fanworks is not required but appreciated as it helps maintain the quality of fanworks. You can look for betas on our Kiaz discord HERE.

Fanworks created can be cross-posted with/used for other fests, as long as it's allowed by the other fest mods.

Posting Guidelines:

Participants are required to post their fanworks to our Advent of Kiaz collection on ao3 to be considered as an official entry for the fest. The collection can be found HERE. They can then post to other social media.

For a team collaboration, participants must post their work together, preferably as co-authors of a work or series.

After the fest, we will post a masterlist of all the works created during this period.

If you want us to reblog your works on our page, then you can post your work or a header of your work to Tumblr and then tag us at @kiazcentral. Please make sure to include the ao3 link in your Tumblr post. A header usually consists of:

You can submit your prompts for the Advent of Kiaz fest here.

This is an open prompting fest meaning anyone can submit a prompt or can get inspired by it and create. You don't have to be signed up!

Anyone can submit a prompt. You can only submit one prompt at a time, and you have to fill out the form again if you want to submit multiple prompts.

Image prompts are allowed.

Prompts must be for either Kiaz (Miguel x Robby) or Xanner (Xolo x Tanner). Other side pairings are allowed provided Kiaz or Xanner are the main pair.

If you're a minor, please do not submit or create for any explicit prompt.
