Christian and Catholic Tumblr, I need help solving this.

I have found both on Catholic and Protestant sites, so I know this isn’t a denominational divide, or even if it is, we use each other’s symbolism so often without realizing that the divide might as well not exist. Wouldn’t bother me so much if Peace would just stay put, like pick a week and be consistent 😭. At least Hope and Joy have it together. If anyone knows how this split in symbolism became a thing, please tell me I’m so curious. Is it by country? I want to know.

In case you didn't feel the Christmas spirit yet, I'll provide it myself.

Since it's christmas, I put in my own photos. So you better enjoy!

And after this I would like to see everyone in the same mood as this silly man.

Me feeling sad cuz the vibes are off.

No, but for real. I've done okay the last two holiday seasons, but this year, I'm struggling again.

The month of December was lovely, in part because for the first time, I had my own space to decorate. We bought a blue tree, one I'll be able to keep up all year and redecorate with the changing seasons.

Despite sort of denouncing religion (not theology), the celebration of Advent is still special to me. So I made the tradition my own with a yule log instead of the traditional crèche. And I made myself a bracelet to wear every day.

I ordered a bit late this year, but I have a twelve day "advent" calendar coming, so I have a little trinket for each of the 12 Days of Christmas.

My partner and I kept up the tradition of keeping Christmas Eve just for ourselves, with a date night to one of our favorite restaurants we don't get to go to much anymore.

Despite that, I'm still struggling today. And I don't know why, other than brains just suck sometimes. And I'll have to live with that. And just keep the people I love close to me.

But New Years can still go suck it.
