#ll posting#WATCHED the last episode of the liella anime and i Really loved it#the last song was great and it was a nice ender with plenty of room for the next seasons#but WHY....did they never show us sunny passions song#LIKE I DIDNT NEED A LOT i woulda accepted like a 40 second clip that mostly consisted of reaction shots from the audience#but they barely gave us 5 seconds....hot hot happy days youkoso wonderland and thats IT#its fine it was just really odd even for love live's usual musical number placement weirdness#maybe they just wanna save it for later seasons or something fjlkdsnjvkfdls#adored the show tho i think its my favourite love live anime? we'll see as later seasons come but it was like#so perfectly early 2000s sports shoujo manga. flaws and all#not sure what my favourite song would be (other than honno choppiri)#mirai yohou hallelujah knocked the wind outta me the first time i heard it (even tho the performance sequence is weird)#(i think the lighting was a little bland and i dont really like the cut out style of cinematography most of the time)#but nonfiction!! was SO good and sumire's episodes were also SO good and the outfits and lighting were fantastic#purble...........#actually that is one thing i noticed with the performances in this anime it seems like sometimes the lighting feels a little off?#like just a HINT too saturated or overexposed in a lot of the numbers#i think thats why my favourite performances visually are nonfiction!! and tiny stars#they played around with darker parts and brighter parts and i love that stuff#i think id rank the performed songs as mirai yohou hallelujah > nonfiction > wish song > tiny stars/ starlight prologue > tokonatsu sunshine#(havent decided which star-based song i like the most yet jskdlsjfds i think im leaning slightly starlight prologue)#(but tiny stars is just REALLY good too so its hard to decide)#(and i really love tokonatsu sunshine its just everything else was really great as well jkdsfljskfds)#ive noticed with liella theyve used lots of bells in the songs like halfway between oldtimey school bells and like... church bells?#is liella also a catholic school like uranohoshi was or are they just leaning more into the school bells/christmas-y winter bells angle#actually yknow... i know the technical reason why all these love live schools are girls only schools (boys dont have faces)#but sometimes i think like. damn. maybe these schools would have less problems closing down if they werent catholic girls schools asdfsdgfaf#I DUNNO MAYBE IM OFF BASE but like. maybe if they were co ed theyd be able to reach those enrollment quotas easier lol#are gender-locked schools around much? ive never seen one irl theres none where i live#is genderlocked the right word. single-gender school? co edn't?
