Waking up to the news with all the other Europeans also waking up to the news is for sure an experience. Jesus fucking Christ what is this?
#from every third post being like 'omg don't kill yourself over this' to full on conspiracies#there is truly every clownery under the sun on my dash on this fine day#which I mean is fine. but it is also incredible how American you people manage to be about this#and before anyone comes at me I know what it is like to have absolutely abysmal election results for an election you voted in in 2024#I have had two#but like I cried about and complained about it loudly and then I got on with my fucking life#admittedly in the eu parliament elections we did have the privilege of being able to watch the far right splinter up in real time#which was well and truly the only saving grace of that whole shitshow#but oh well#nothing funnier than the fascists excluding part of the fascists bc one of them showed a little too much sympathy for fascists#if the thing that saves the eu from being ruled by fascists is the fact that the AfD was a little too public#with their nazi sympathising then so be it. best thing that party has ever done
