just wanted to say that your opinions on a*ysmond? AGREED. the stans are insufferable, pointing how there was "true love" there, that they're the healthiest couple in westeros. like...bffr! they're delusional in my eyes and i see no love between them, it's toxic and unhealthy. Of course they also rely on the negative rumors about her, to justify why she would have been happy with the massacre and being with Aemond. Because witch = evil apparently. Especially when it's described by a bunch of misogynists.

If Alys had been a witch with great powers like Alysmond's fans claim, why would she have let herself be taken in by an abusive family ? No, because it's also one of the excuses they make, that Alys is too powerful a witch, so it's impossible that Aemond can abuse her, it's she who has the upper hand over him, or is on an equal footing with him. Of course... Hello madness.

Yes, because since the release of the series, there is the camp of those who think that since Alys is a witch and older than Aemond, she is necessarily the abuser.

I believe in the fact that Alys was some sort of witch but not extremely powerful. She was probably linked to potions and visions, but not great powers that would have screwed everyone over.

It's so satisfying to think that Alys was self-possessed and intelligent enough to actually seduce Aemond after she was taken as a prize of war to stay alive, only to ultimately send Aemond to his own death after the abuse she suffered from him.

Two examples are a req that reader is male and gives [insert character] gay panic and I think the whole thing is comedic so I love that one and am working on it

And another is that [insert character] gets nervous around reader and gets called out on it in a way that leaves no room for denial (can’t say much without it giving it away)

Found this paragraph floating in isolation at the bottom of the doc for a random Sloanshir idea that never really got going. But this random paragraph definitely slaps:

It was funny how many years of pleasant memories—how many books from Garak he���d read while curled up there, how many lovers in his lap—had been overshadowed by a single interaction. But getting rid of the chair, or even moving it elsewhere, would have meant giving Sloan the power to destroy any part of his life simply by touching it.

25) Have you ever upset yourself with your own writing?

Haha yeah... T_T Usually I'm fine if I know the fic is gonna work out okay (or if I can at least picture a happier potential post-fic future), but if I know that the ending of the fic or projected future is also a big bummer then I run a very high risk of upsetting myself so much that I don't finish the fic lollll.

So, I don't actually upset myself at all while writing horrible creepy sloanshir hurt/no comfort or whatever, because even if the comfort's not in the scope of the fic, I so strongly believe in Garashir ending up together in any given scenario that I just extrapolate in my mind that it'll be fine eventually. XD

The only real problem comes in when I attempt to write Garashir bad endings (for the ship or for either person involved). Like... I REALLY wanted to finish writing my wip about the events of "The Quickening" making Julian slowly go full mad scientist once he's back on the station, but writing it made me too sad because it was important to the concept that it needed to have a devastatingly tragic ending. T_T

27) Is there a fic you were nervous to post/share? Why?

Literally every single fic I've ever written. XD But that's not a helpful answer lol.

I always feel extra nervous posting rarepair fics. With Garashir, there are TONS of canon interactions to model their behavior after, and I've also read soooo much fic about them, which means I have a very good understanding of their dynamic at various points in the timeline of canon, and I know what characterization choices work for me and what doesn't. With Siskarak, there are not that many eps that show the two of them interacting so there's more extrapolation involved in figuring out their dynamic and how to translate that into a sexual relationship, and in terms of fic I have written a solid chunk of what's even out there so I usually put tons of pressure on myself to make sure it's good. And not only good, but like, meshes well with canon and actually follows from what we know about the characters, because I want people to understand how I got from point A to point B.

In addition to that, the longer the fic (or the longer I've spent on the fic), the more nervous I feel when I post. More words, more potential to write something unclear or OOC. XD More time spent, more critical I am of it by the time I post it, because I feel like it should be better than it is given the amount of effort spent. In all honesty drabbles (100 word fics) or other very short ficlets (anything <1000 words) don't make me all that nervous to post anymore, purely due to the time spent writing being so low, which is why I've been posting so many short fics lately lmaooo. If I can bang something out all at once and post without thinking, that's ideal, because then I agonize over it waaaay less beforehand and I don't feel bad if it doesn't get many readers. XD

Posting explicit fics also always makes me a lil nervous, due to the potential embarrassment of what if I've gotten something so wrong that it takes the reader out of the steaminess of the moment.

All that said, my "Second Skin" Siskarak fic, you're a criminal as long as you're mine, recently made me very nervous to post, because it's rarepair smut and it's the second longest thing I've written all year, haha. (Everyone PLEASE go tell me I did a good job, I worked so hard on it.)

Ngl the current TEF actually fulfills a lot of my vision of an explorer esque story cuz they pretty much are on the run at all times over the span of the story, aka a lot of the regions are explored (notably Carabee and Suizel all the way to Mount. Eden, I think looking at the map could give you an idea of how their journey looks like), Tarue and Sunvey are the only big regions that don't get touched in TEF for the sole fact that they get explored in POE instead lmaooo, though it's mostly in Tarue, Sunvey isn't that much developed as a land tbh and I haven't rlly found anything to do w it even if there's mild plans all over the place, ig some cool underutilized lands would def be Kahdeina Kingdom, Janji Island and Temporal Isle though cuz they rlly are scrapped plotlines for POE and the supposed tertiary story back then, so currently they just kinda exist without any lore heavy stories to explore them in detail, so if anywhere it'll probably be those places, again not much lore is written for those places though you can imagine things based on what I have for the land masterpost lmao

Literally upon seeing this in the list of questions I was like haha I know I will answer Maridoline and Airimoru tragaydies, they're literally so lore heavy and intricate they *have* to die but for the longest time when I first developed them I intended them to *live*, that's the kicker lmao I didn't write them to die when I first wrote them but they dug the hole for themselves I've got no choice but to bury lol it pains me but it has to be done and I won't exactly say I regret it either cuz it's very juicy

Funnily enough I usually don't regret canon plot choices cuz they almost always happen for a reason, the joke to lore pipeline always leads to something batshit but connects everything neatly I pretty much eat it the fuck up each time lmao, though ig a funny one would def be removing Rigel altogether from TEF cuz it took away a lot of the other plotpoints (notably his arc of attempting to capture Toffee and this other one where Orion and Pepper bond over having lost a brother from the same tragedy, there are workarounds though it's def kinda a hassle to rework some of the already established points lmao

Rigel was mainly removed cuz there's just too much going on in TEF and his purpose as a father figure to Rei and contributing to her grief is already explored via Orion and Oak alrdy (who are much more involved in the plot and are individually very developed characters alrdy), alongside his creature whisperer thing going to Asteria who is previously not that developed, I def tried to salvage Rigel lmaoooo but alas, though if I'm not careful enough he might aswell get revived but chances are also slim, just overall a kinda wack scenario cuz either keeping or removing him leads to other outcomes, also probs cuz it wasn't a joke to lore pipeline that occured naturally and was my own choice and I don't usually make lore changes like this LMAOOOO

Ig another would def be scrapping Atch/Asteria cuz that was the og ship for a long ass time, like 2020 esque era, there's sentimental value attached to them though the story has been revamped so much they no longer feel like the og pairing I developed and ate up lol, ironically current Aitcher reeks more of the og Atchuka (Asteria was developed so much Eureka as a name doesn't even get used all that much anymore), also since POE wasn't a thing back then there's no deliberate parallels I bothered writing but w Aichi being an addition everything just tied together rlly satisfyingly lol

lesbiansandgayssupporttheminers is racist; she thinks she understands racism better than poc, stands by racists, and attacks poc for trying to speak to her about racism

For the full story, you first need a bit of background: if you’ve been following me for a while then you will be aware I have called out @ayeforscotland’s racism several times. I would recommend reading this post for a full explanation.

In addition to the incidences mentioned in the post I have just linked, ayeforscotland has also had interactions with neo @androidgynes who is Romani and another person who is black (but didn’t want to be named) and they’ve both also called him out for his racism.

Anyway so. @androidgynes​ saw that lesbiansandgayssupporttheminers was reblogging from ayeforscotland, and that the op of the post was @/getpoliticaluk (who defends incest). Androidgynes messaged lesbiansandgayssupporttheminers (who I will from now refer to as lagstm) and informed her that ayeforscotland is racist and getpoliticaluk defends incest - the conversation that followed went like this. (the below screenshots are posted with permission from @androidgynes​)

The post that neo (@androidgynes) linked of mine was this. And I mean... clearly that particular post by ayeforscotland was very racist, he literally just sat there laughing about anti-black racism as if it was a joke. When @mangopickled​ tried to speak to him about how offensive this post was, he removed her comments from the notes of the post (like. to be clear: ayeforscotland, a WHITE MAN, made a post about racism, and then removed a WOMAN OF COLOUR’S commentary from that post when she told him that his comments were inappropriate). When I saw that, I called that out, and he blocked me. There’s many levels to his racism here that I don’t have the energy to explain, and if you don’t understand why it’s so problematic then you should probably stop reading here cos you clearly know nothing and probably care even less about anti-racism.

So on that particular post that neo linked to lagstm, there is ayeforscotland being racist, and 2 woc calling out his racism. And yet on having this post shown to her, this is how she chose to respond

lagstm literally says that she thinks my views on racism lack nuance. I am a woman of colour, I am visibly muslim, and I’ve experienced racism pretty much all my life. And here is a white woman saying that she thinks my views on racism “lack nuance”. I,, I genuinely don’t have words to convey how angry this makes me. Literally who does she even think she is. Not even is it racist to dismiss my literal LIVED experience of being a woman of colour in this country, but she is literally saying “look at these stupid brown folk, they don’t know what they’re talking about cos they’re so stupid :)”

neo points out firstly that as a white person lagstm doesn’t have the right to make that call, and also that there is ofc another woc on that post saying that exact same thing, and androidgynes themselves are roma. lagstm is not just dismissing me as a stupid savage who is too stupid to form complex thoughts, but she is also indirectly saying the same thing about 2 other poc, and saying that her judgement, as a white person, is more sound than all of ours.

It’s also worth mentioning that neo, who is Romani, was polite to lagstm during this exchange, and lagstm was rude and dismissive. I find this deeply hypocritical. Lagstm has been talking a lot about the policing bill and how it will affect GRT communities, but when she’s talking to someone who is actually *from* the Roma community, she is dismissive and condescending. All this shows is that she’s fake AF. She pretends to care about the Roma community on her blog and then speaks down to them in private.

And again this is worth repeating: AYEFORSCOTLAND WAS BEING RACIST ON THAT POST. IT WAS RACIST. WHAT HE SAID WAS RACIST. So lagstm isn’t just ignoring 3 poc, she is also ignoring,,,, you know,,, the actual racism,,,

And she also says ayeforscotland is borderline racist? Like she acknowledges ayeforscotland is borderline racist but she’s still happy to follow him? Like that alone would be enough for me actually

neo then blocked lagstm and messaged me and told me what happened, and showed me the above screenshots - btw prior to this neo and I had never interacted. Anyway I was obviously a bit disgusted but instead of going straight to blocking lagstm or making a callout post straight away, I messaged her to explain herself and take back what she said. That is now two poc who tried to resolve the matter privately - clearly a lot more than lagstm ever deserved. Androidgynes messaged me last Friday, and I messaged lagstm the next day on Saturday

My convo with lagstm went as follows:

So you can see that initially she was apologetic and said she “didn’t mean to imply that that my judgement on racism was flawed” (even tho that’s literally what she said) and defended herself by saying “I react poorly in interactions like this” - genuinely not a defence but whatever. She then proceeded to say that what she doesn’t trust my opinion on is Scotland and Ireland - which completely irrelevant. Firstly I am ambivalent to Scottish nationalism and have always said I don’t know much about it, and I support the reunification of Ireland. And secondly, my issue with aye has got literally nothing to do with Scotland or Scottish nationalism; he is racist all on his own. And the post neo linked was barely even about scottish nationalism, it was just him being anti-black. So lagstm saying “I don’t trust your judgement on Scotland and Ireland” is ridiculous considering that Scottish/Irish nationalism have nothing to do with this.

Like akjfbkjdfbs this is actually so ridiculous. It doens’t make any sense. Lagstm clearly says “I don’t trust pakisstani’s judgement on THIS issue [the issue being racism] and her views on THIS issue [the issue being racism] lack nuance” but now turns around and says “I wasn’t talking about racism, I was talking about Scotland/Ireland” like she must really think I’m dumb

And you can see Lagstm bringing up unrelated hypothetical scenarios, and saying “in this situation, you can’t tell me to defer to poc” which i found ??? Like why are you bringing up scenarios in which you think you are allowed to educate us poor and stupid black and brown folk?? I then told her she was straw-manning and that her points about Ireland/Scotland were ridiculous, but then she claimed it was me that was engaging her in bad faith. Like SHE, the white woman who practically said that I am too stupid to understand racism, and when confronted on it started straw-manning and bringing up unrelated scenarios, said I am not engaging her in good faith. AFTER both neo and I tried to speak to her privately about this. Like I tried to speak to her privately AFTER I FOUND OUT SHE HAD SAID RACIST THINGS ABOUT ME. BUT I’M NOT ENGAGING HER IN GOOD FAITH? LMAOOO

And then the accusation about rape threats which is actually the most disgusting part of this entire thing. I shouldn’t have to explain that accusing 2 poc of conspiring to send her rape threats (without any evidence whatsoever. Frankly I think she’s lying about the rape threats 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’s quite a transparent attempt to distract from her own nasty behaviour and deflect onto us) is actually extremely racist. She is invoking her white fragility and painting me and androidgynes as aggressors who are threatening her safety and inflicting/threatening to inflict sexual violence on her. It is beyond disgusting 🤮

What’s more, neo is trans, so when lagstm is baselessly accusing them of issues related to rape, she is also playing up to transphobic tropes.

One more thing worth mentioning is that there are several lies peppered throughout lagstm’s comments. Firstly when she claimed to have briefly unfollowed me - she didn’t actually. I was checking regularly, and she never unfollowed me. This was a small lie that I picked up on striaght away but because it wasn’t relevant I didn’t say anything about it. But I just think it’s interesting that she would lie for no reason. And another lie - feigning ignorance about ayeforscotland’s racism, and actually even asking for receipts is incredibly disingenuous when on this particular post, if you scroll through the notes, you can see she has literally liked it. Like she had already seen the posts where me and mangopickled called out his racism and literally LIKED it, and when neo says to lagstm that aye is racist, lagstm says “receipts please :)” YOU’VE ALREADY SEEN THEM! AND LIKED THEM! screenshot in case she unlikes it (sorry for including dumb comments by dumb scots but i need to prove it’s the same post so):

LASTLY. Last point I swear. When lagstm said “it was also coloured by the statements they’d made about another tumblr user, which didn’t relate to racism, which I didn’t address with them because I didn’t want to upset them” <- she must mean getpoliticaluk defending incest? This is so broad, I have like no thoughts lmaooo. My creative juices have been mostly zapped away in my old age. If you gave me like I guess like a scenario or a topic to go off on, the structure would probably help me out. I have some personal thoughts I'd like to share, though, if that's ok.

Though I will say it's between Ryan, Bam, and Steve-O

Bam's family in the Jackass movies usually made the movies better for me, and the addition of no Bam in the new one meant no Margera fam, which really saddened me. The super mighty glue stunt is prob one of my faves ever.

Ryan had the best attitude out of all the guys when I go back and rewatch the movies (which I just did like yesterday and today lol)

His personality and the quips he made are so much like mine so I felt like I always connected with him. And the things he really laughed hard at, I also laughed hard at. For this reason, I still put him at the top of my list.

I also have to include Steve-O bc the guy has done some of the funniest bits. Butt chug, sweatsuit cocktail, shoving the fish hook through his cheek, the fucking fart helmet, wasabi snooters, the portopotty bungee, and the freaking shin mime stunt in the new movie murders me every time the way he yells XDDDDD

and his smile and laugh are so contagious

Anytime they're all together on the set for the stunt and they're just cracking up at one another, I love it

While I do enjoy the crazier stunts, what I mean by simpler is like

My favorite in the ATLA series 👀👀👀

Okay so my friend and i both agreed that objectively the Renjun one was the best. Like the plot, the CHARACTER DEPTH, and the execution was perfect *chefs kiss*

BUT MY FAVORITE WAS THE HAECHAN ONE AHAHAH His character and the storyline of it was so appealing to me cuz he was like playful and fun but with a ✨vulnerable✨ side, oh and a gang of air bending thieves is always fun. THE SHARING THE BED TROPE IS SUCH AN OVERPLAYED TROPE BUT I LOVE IT ALL THE SAME SO 😩💓

Plus i laughed my ass off when i first thought haechan would be portrayed as a monk that’s bald with arrow tattoos 🤣 (not to mention the addition of the mental image of bald mark, jisung, and chenle LMAOOO)

Oh and sidenote: I remember being very curious about how all the boys’ reactions and interactions wouldve been like if she actually went to each nation and collected them. And then formed her own Team Avatar. That would’ve been hella awesome man ASHDKSMA like a harem but with bending 💯 but not over the top, it would be lowkey only like Ouran Highschool Host Club (a harem anime thats not in your face harem) or smth. I highkey believe that in that scenario Renjun would be the canon love interest just because. 😌
