So like are your addisons a polycule? Whats happening there

honestly? i had to think long and hard about this akjdbf;

i’m tempted to say Yes ‘cause i really like addisoncule...but nah, the shipping stuff is just for fun, a what-if route where they did get together romantically; it’s not really canon to the "main" storyline i have for them

the closest things relating to romance in the main verse are

spam’s relentless one-sided(?) crush on bb

bb and blink’s friendship kinda blurs the line between platonic and romantic love. theyve been mistaken for a couple a good number of times anyways.

...i think thats it

everything else is more or less platonic plus whatever the hell blink and spam have going on. and clipper’s feelings towards spam kinda questionable.

I know the ship asks were a couple days ago now, but 30 anything you’d want to say about the Addicule you haven’t gotten a chance to yet?

The reason the Addisons are so close is because by my interpretation of addison culture they are all defective in some way as adware. For the main four it’s not enough to hinder their jobs but socially it is isolating. When they found each other is was like being seen and understood for the first time and they didn’t want to risk losing that by not pursuing something.

Each kinda fill a role to each other that they are missing and they kinda have this unison that they can’t find elsewhere, not in the same intimate sense at least. Spamton was kinda that thing that solidified that they were meant to be together or it was lucky they found each other cause he sort of encompassed what made them all feel wrong but it feels normal and right when it’s him.

Basically they are all freaks who make each other feel normal about it. So they kiss and share the giant king bed about it.

Longer chapter as a treat and because I’m tired. Realized how dialogue heavy this work is and I wanna write more enviornmental stuff so the next chapter is gonna be that and spam focused. Maybe another none addison character will appear who knows. Enjoy and sorry this was so late.

I don’t ship a lot in fandom but this is what I usually think about when I see a ship and the name is just a name mash. Immediately I wanna make it fun and goofy.

Not from the prompt but do you have a fav ship in deltarune or undertale?

If it's not obvious from my fic, my top ship is the addicule/addisoncule. Something about the angst of betrayal, believing it was for the better before regret and consequence from the addisons. It's the bitterness, the spite, and the longing from Spamton, too far gone to go back to them in his mind. I like to flesh them out and figure out how it all went to shit and when it was good.

After, this is controversial, I actually really like Spamqueen but more as a character exploration for Spamton and Queen. I like to analyze big shot Spamton and his motivations through this ship, the lies he feels he must conform to and an interest in some that he is attracted to but not in an emotionally intimate way. For Queen I analyze her idea of personal relationship and respect, she is enjoying herself and thinks Spamton is enjoying himself when they are together. How she respects him as a mansion guest but how her overbearing and insistent nature obfuscates a real relationship.

I ship things mostly as a way to get a grasp on characters and their interactions/believability. Of course, I also am fond of Swatchton and Spamvil but again the former is more reflective of both and the latter more introspective of each character.
