Wang Yi's hand freezes mid-wave when Pikachu comes out of nowhere, but it's after the creature starts speaking that he really thinks he's out of his mind.

...oh wait, there's a collar around its neck. It has an owner? Or rather, the voice he's hearing is coming from that instead...

snacks? that wasn't his name, but the temptation was too much to just ignore. he'd have to behave though — the human was calling out to someone, and that treat must have been theirs. did they get lost? the island was big — it could be anywhere! creeping out from the bush opposite the doorway, Pikachu looked around for any sign of something moving towards the boy, but he wasn't seeing anything obvious.
