#remember that chapter where Yusuke is told abt the brainwashed demons sent by the spirit office#to make an excuse for Why they maintain as tight control as they do over the mortal realm#&he went “… I guess I damned a lot of demons that way” not bc it was intended to b callous#but bc of the story formula & the way Togashi had set up th SD business & status#“Spirit detective” was supposed to be “cool”? And the way the story limited the themes until he could only#add the things he *did* want to explore as these tiny rough notes given visuals#Im just saying th themes &th comedy of Yusuke being uncomfortable being a cop wouldve been cool#Also a good foil to Kuroko and Sensui who both had favorable opinions of the job#kuroko maintaining her job was Good &Sensui changing his mind once made Aware#yyh things#Yusuke
