Are there foods exclusive to the Celestial Realm? And if so, does Nick miss any of the food there? :3c

Okay so I really wanted to DRAW some fantasy food but then I realized, idk how to draw food...

I do imagine they'd probably have weird vegetation? And different variation of farm animals, a side effect from eating the magical vegetation. So yes! They have more magic fueling foods. A list I thot of and what I think they'd do ✨ magically ✨

1. Stardust Sapphires: Delicate, shimmering blue fruits that emit a faint glow. When consumed, they grant a temporary boost in mental acuity and focus.

2. Luminescent Nectar: A radiant, glowing liquid extracted from celestial flowers. Drinking this nectar enhances one's magical abilities for a short duration.

3. Aetherian Crystalberries: Small, translucent berries that sparkle with a faint inner light. These berries possess healing properties when consumed and are often used in medicinal remedies.

4. Celestial Mooncakes: Delicious pastries that appear to change color and emit a gentle glow depending on the phase of the moon. Each phase imbues the mooncake with different enchantments.

5. Ethereal Elixirs: Mystical potions brewed from rare celestial herbs and infused with celestial energies. They provide various magical enhancements or temporary abilities, such as flight, enhanced strength, or invisibility.

6. Aurora Apples: Apples that reflect the vibrant colors of an aurora. Eating one grants the consumer a sense of tranquility and peace while rejuvenating their spirit.

7. Nebula Noodles:Noodles made from stardust-infused flour, creating a dish that shimmers with faint twinkling lights. They offer a surge of energy and a feeling of cosmic inspiration when consumed.

Everglow Soup: A luminescent broth that seems to shimmer with an inner light, this celestial soup is made from an assortment of rare, glowing vegetables found only in the most enchanting meadows of the celestial realm. Consuming this soup not only warms the body but also invigorates the spirit, leaving a faint radiant glow upon those who indulge in its otherworldly flavors.

9. Mystic Herb Bread: Baked with flour harvested from arcane wheat and sprinkled with a blend of enchanted herbs, this bread emanates a tantalizing aroma that evokes visions of mystical forests. Each slice possesses a subtle, magical essence that awakens the senses, offering a taste that seems to transport those who consume it to the serene depths of a tranquil celestial grove.

10. Wooly Celestial Cow Steak: Sourced from the fabled Wooly Celestial Cows that graze upon the shimmering pastures of the celestial realm, this steak boasts a tender and succulent texture unlike any other. Infused with the essence of cosmic herbs and celestial grains in their diet, the steak offers a delicate balance of flavors—earthly yet otherworldly—accompanied by a hint of the cow's wooly, ethereal nature.

I also thot it would be funny if there is just Pink Kale 💀 or something so dumb like that. Most foods have their own magical names like Everglow Soup, Mystic Herb Bread, and then Pink Kale 🤪

I just finished binge reading The Void Princess. If you like sci fi adventure/mystery, you should read it too. Highly recommend. I’m excited to delve into the rest of Derin Edala’s library.

Some very subtle things I super enjoyed about it:

Every human we meet uses she/her pronouns. Growing beards is standard, as is the capacity to be pregnant. It’s not so much that they don’t have gender, more like they are all genders.

All artificial intelligences’ pronouns are he/him.

There are people referred to as halfkind. They are not, as I initially assumed, called that because they are half breeds of two different species. They’re human, they just only have half of gender (aka they are male or female, not both/all). They also can’t really live anywhere other than Earth, which implies that humans in space evolved to be all gender. I fucking love that.

It’s totally normal for space humans that gave birth to be called “dad” by their children.

Pretty much none of this factors into the story in anyway, it’s all just world building.

Oh and yes, towards the end there is quite a bit of mech dysphoria.

Thinking more about Mech dysphoria today.

Stepping out of your cockpit and stumbling because you don't have the right number of legs.

Blinking your eyes out of sync because you don't have the right number anymore, don't have access to on board cameras the way you're supposed to.

Struggling to grab and pick things up because you have the wrong number of fingers.

Failing to recognize your face in the mirror without layers of armor plating over it.

Feeling like a brain pulled from its body and forced to function independently.

HI OMGOSH GREAT QUESTION!!!

Okay so we have Adalas, which is the Modren world! Earth as we sort of know it. Ppl CALL it earth but other more knowledgeable beings like Witches, aliens and stuff like that call it Adalas, it's true name.

Then there is Aether, which is the fantasy world. There is magic flowing throughout the world and it is clear by day. Because magic is so common here, there was no reason for technology to advance. So almost every common thing is done by magic. Running water? There is a magical orb that can produce water. Light spells, fire, you name it.

Then there is the CELESTIAL REALM, which is the middle realm between Adalas and Aether. This was created by a powerful witch that used to live in Adalas. She was being put on trial for witchcraft and got so sick and tired of her and her friends being prosecuted, she ended up using dark magic that stole all the magic from Adalas to fuel the celestial realm and she took all the witches and wizards in Adalas and basically trapped them in a realm they could use magic freely. They didn't really like the idea at first 💀 so they hated her after that and called her the damned one for trapping them.

While in the celestial realm, they don't age. There are no passage of time, seasons time of day so the moon, sun and stars are all out and visible in the celestial realm. There are four sections of the celestial realm that has each season. So when the witches and wizards first get stuck they, they weren't that well off in magical knowledge so 💀 they were LITERALLY imprisoned until they learned portal magic which since the Aether had more magic in that world, it was easier to make a portal to that world than Adalas.

And that's the basics i think 🤔

I sometimes don't know WHERE TO BEGIN BUT LEMME TALK ABOUT MY FIRST OC NICK SINCE I LOVE HER SO MUCH

SHE'S MY BABY GIRL!!! I've had her since I was like 10 years old. She started as my own persona but I changed her over time to be an original character of what I wish I saw in cartoons growing up. She is my FIRST oc ever. EVER!!!

I watched a lot of anime as a kid and IT ACTUALLY....WAS always super annoying to me when the main female character SUCKED at talking with her crush. I hated the shy timid??? Lovesick fools??? (I was literally only 12 with no crush until i was like 19 so yeah) Girly girls?? Idk how to explain it. But i never felt like I could relate to any female character growing up aside from idk KATARA? FROM AVATAR...

But i also didn't like SOLELY tomboy charactera either because they were messy, rude and HATED girls that were more feminine normally so 💀 i didn't like that either. So i wanted to make the middle ground!

So i made the girl i wish I saw in cartoons and anime. The weird, silly just a fun girl who wasn't participating interested in romance, and if she did start liking someone, she wouldn't become a shy awkward mess when talking to her crush. I grew up literally thinking your partner is supposed to be your best friend! Someone you can talk to anything about...so i generally didn't like the scared to talk to the person you "like"

Anyways...i also grew up watching a lot of Magical Doremi so I made her a witch! She can cast spells, make potions, fly on a broom and talk to cats. I like the fantasy of magic and what you can do with that genre. I also like the idea of modren settings so I made THREE REALMS for my ocs and Nick sometimes likes to travel through all three of them with her friends, going on adventure and just having fun!

So yeah I have more on her but 💀 i always get intimidated when someone just vaguely says "talk about your oc" LIKE NOOOO BESTIE I GOTTA KNOW SPECIFICS?!?
