It is interesting how the subconscious works. This desk for example. To me this was a spontaneous design, some doodles on a page. Not connected to any particular study or research. It was in fact inspired by the discovery of a factory in Italy that manufactured tubular and conical steel or aluminium sections for the furniture industry. However there is without doubt a subconscious nod to the #midcentury and #midcenturymodern #designer #jeanprouvé #inspired by the discovery of the conical aluminium sections I had sketched up a whole series of designs based around a home office environment using the cone sections for the leg structures on #shelvingunits, #storageunits and on this #moderndesk. The idea being that with our iClouds we did not really need much storage in a #21stcenturydesk.
