Siddaramaiah Questioned by Lokayukta in MUDA Case

On Wednesday, the Lokayukta police questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for about two hours regarding the MUDA site allocation case. Siddaramaiah appeared before the Lokayukta team, led by Superintendent of Police TJ Udesh, in response to a summons. After the questioning, Siddaramaiah confirmed, “I was questioned and have shared the truth.”
Speaking to the press in Mysore, Siddaramaiah described the Lokayukta as an independent agency, similar to the CBI, and confirmed that he fully answered all their questions, with his responses officially recorded. He added that his wife had returned to the disputed sites due to the allegations.
Following the inquiry, Siddaramaiah accused the BJP and JDS of making false claims against him, calling the case baseless. He maintained that, until proven otherwise in court, his image remains untarnished. “These are mere allegations,” he said, expressing confidence in answering to both the court and police.
Siddaramaiah, named as the primary accused in the Lokayukta FIR, faces allegations regarding irregular allotment of 14 MUDA sites to his wife, Parvati BM. His wife, who was questioned on October 25, is the second accused in the case.
