he avoids walking around in his human form too much. here, in deep space, it stands out far more than his galra form ever will, even on conquered planets.
it takes him a long time before he's fully comfortable to shift freely around the generals, and even then, he only does so in the complete privacy of their ship.
the first time was definitely the best.
he'd informed lotor and acxa of his decision to let zethrid and ezor know, and the next time he found himself in the lounge, during one of their rare respites, had decided to take the opportunity to shift back to human.
it actually was quite a while before anyone entered, to the point in which he'd forgotten that he'd shifted at all. he was only reminded when ezor walked in, took one look at him, and shrieked.
to be fair, seeing a foreign alien dressed in your fellow general's armor and absentmindedly scrolling on a datapad must have come as quite a shock.
he'd confirmed the rumors of his status as a shifter later, but in the moment, it was one of the funniest things he'd ever done.
#keith may be a more disciplined member of the army here#but he can and absolutely will fuck with people#lotor knows because it's in his papers#acxa knows because they're siblings#and narti already knows because they've known each other for years atp#general keith au#beneath the veil

here to ask about your volleyball au!! what are the dynamics between the teammates? how long have they been playing together? please tell us anything and everything!! I'm SO happy to see an au focused on the voltron girlies, this is what has been missing fr
hello!! this is kinda long lmao
when they first started playing together (around 5yrs before the au is set) allura and romelle were kind of the intimidating older tall people, but after a while the teams younger half got more comfortable with them and being around them as friends. when pidge joins the team (someone left leaving the libero position open for her) it becomes just as awkward again. after a while she assimilates into the friend group but often ends up just being a wallflower at the socials/ awards.
romelle and allura have been playing together the longest (since they were kids) and have been dating for a while. they tend to end up in a leader/ mature adult position because they're the oldest and are meant to know how things work, but occasionally they have slip ups.
veronica sort of became team mum after a while considering she's the oldest sibling and is used to always sorting out arguments and having a bag of snacks and whatever anyone else may need on her all the time. she's the one people go to on the team if they are uncomfortable with something or they just want a hug.
leifsdottir, rizavi and pidge bonded over being in the same class at the garrison (which functions the same way in this au, still a flight academy) and never really became close friends, just people that you'd wave at or say a quick hi to in the corridor. leifsdottir and rizavi themselves are in the same friend group outside of the garrison, so they end up much closer together.
pidge herself isn't an outcast; she's a wallflower. people know her name and she's fairly kind to everyone but she can never seem to figure out if they mean their kindness in a way of "hey, come join my group i really like you as a person and want to be your friend" or "i'm being nice but i don't really want to be your friend" (they mean it the first way). but, recently, she's gotten considerably more comfortable with the people on her team and has started to branch out (yay pidge!)
the team competes every two weeks or so, once a month in larger tournaments. their main competitors are the blades of marmora female division (consisting of acxa, ezor, narti, zethrid, plaxum and nyma (not galra i know but still they fit the vibe of the uniforms more)) . the ga cadets currently hold the national junior title but it isn't looking great for them against the blades of marmora to keep it

For the meme thingy: I wanted to be cliche and say Kacxa 👀👀👀...but can I also say Zezor? They're canon yet a bit rare to see...
Kacxa
When I started shipping them: I‘ve always been super super invested in their dynamic, but it took me a super long time to realize and admit “yea this is shipping I ship them”, so I guess it’s when I saw Acxa’s character card for the first time. i realized that she was a perfect foil to Keith and became extremely determined that their arcs were gonna collide and Acxa was going to get redeemed. Obviously S7 made me feel like a god
My thoughts: great in fanon, a total sandbox ship so you can speculate how they’d interact in most situations. In canon.. I love their petty fights in arc 2, and was super happy that they fought next to each other in s7. But I’m a bit alienated from most kacxa shippers because I didn’t want them to be canon, mostly because I lost faith in the writers in s7 and didn’t want their dynamic to be spoiled by bad writing choices or Acxa becoming a love interest
What makes me happy about them: again, SANDBOX SHIP!! And Acxa is a tall gf, look!
What makes me sad about them: how much the fandom hates this ship and how misogynistic they are towards Acxa, christ. You know what also makes me sad? People holding on to the sibling theory in 2020 when it’s been debunked like five times
Things I look for in fanfic: I.. don’t. read kacxa fic. I mostly read gen fic, tbh the only ship fic ill read fanfic of at all is heith
Who I’d be comfortable then ending up with, if not for each other: heiths my otp so it’s already my default Keith ship, i also like kallura, and veracxa is a big fave
My happily ever after for them: them going on fun missions together. them going to therapy together
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Acxa big spoon 100% I mean I drew fan art of it
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: missions. hanging out with zethor. talking about their different cultural upbringings. therapy sessions
Zezor
When I started shipping them: Four o’clock in the morning on august 10th when Zethrid said “that’s my girl”
My thoughts: WIVES!!! I was so surprised but so so happy they’re canon, I genuinely didn’t think we would get a lesbian couple and I want to thank the person that pushed it into the show
What makes me happy about them: they really are a great dynamic and had on-screen development even though they’re minor characters, they’re really fun and take up the whole room with their personality. also they’re canon, I think that’s really neat
What makes me sad about them: That Ezor wasn’t originally gonna make it :( but I’m glad the execs read the room and put her back in. Plus people really showed how much more they cared about their ship being canon than lgbt rep when they were made canon lmao
Things I look for in fanfic: again, I don’t really read ship fic
Who I’d be comfortable then ending up with, if not for each other: Acxa/Ezor/Zethrid is one of my few poly ships so Acxa for either of them, Zethllura is also good
My happily ever after for them: mending their relationship, renewing their marriage
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Zethrid big spoon, Ezor likes the security it gives her and Zethrid likes holding onto Ezor
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: shenanigans. always shenanigans

VLD Season 6 Thoughts! Spoilers (obviously)!!
This is basically a huge rant so you can just scroll away now.
I see so much hate over it but honestly I really enjoyed it! It was... a lot.
I expected Lotor to betray them, but oH MY GOD THAT WAS WAY MORE DRAMATIC THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.
The animation was gorgeous and some points just showed so much emotion?? Like with Shiro and Keith especially.
They all looked so beautiful this season!
Pidge was such a badass fixing everything and having that backup against Shiro. Imagine the amount of stress-
Hunk was doing amazing (as usual), especially in that first episode :) WE NEED MORE HUNK!
The dnd - AHEM I MEAN monsters and mana- episode speaks for itself haha~
Krolia and Keith's developments and backstory had me literally screeching, but my post with "I left you because I love you" post was tOTALLY RIGHT.
BABY KEITH.
BABY KEITH WITH A MULLET.
Keith's dad and Shiro's clothes... :(
Krolia telling Shiro "thank you for raising him to be the man he is today" killed me. We got to see how close they were :') but uh... sorry Sheith shippers...?
Keith... has a wolf... thing?
We already knew it but I'm going to say it anyway. THE SHIRO WAS A CLONE THEORY WAS 100% CORRECT.
He has white hair now?? White Lion maybe?? Huh??
Keith's galra side showing more! With the marking and the eyes :D
Also he's 2 years older? Lance commented on his growth and how he got "bigger" so I wonder if Keith is maybe taller than him now? Also his hAIR IS LONGER.
LOTOR I KNEW YOU WERE BAD BUT THAT WAS A BIT MUCH DONTCHYA THINK?
They're going home!! Back to Earth!!
Now onto the biggest thing. Lance.
I know a lot of people really hated it (especially some Klance shippers) but I thought it was ok?? It's kinda been hinted at a lot.
He's definitely grown from just being jokingly flirty to genuinely caring a lot about Allura... and might I say... love her? Who knows?
I do hope we see Lance develop even more and gain some confidence :')
ALSO THE KISS. LOTOR HOW DARE YOU.
I was actually really proud of Allura this season.
She basically started to love a guy who seemed to show genuine interest back... but then she found out what he did in the past. She could have been blinded by her feelings and tried to defend him, but she turned against him. She threw him to the ground!! After she literally kissed him like a dobosh prior!
I feel like Acxa is going to play more of an important role as a possible protagonist?? Its already been shown and hinted at.
Also, what is her connection with Keith? They aren't siblings (or at least, not with the same father), so what is up with them?
HAVE I MENTIONED HOW GLAD I AM TO HAVE OUR ACTUAL SPACE DAD BACK?? WITH WHITE HAIR??
I need to get this out there but... Allurance is most likely canon at this point. I legitimately cannot see anything potentially romantic between Keith and Lance anymore... whoops? I mean unless they have some kind of major change and development which at this point?? Season 6?? I highly doubt.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT KEITH TELLING SHIRO HE LOVES HIM?? MY HEART CANT HANDLE THAT. IM DYING.
ALSO KROLIA SAYING SHE LOVES KEITH?? THANK YOU.
What's going to happen with both Lotor and Zarkon being defeated?
Is the Earth going to become part of the coalition? Did everyone believe and follow Sam Holt, and if so, what are they going to find when they return?
... possible beach episode...?
ARE WE GOING TO SEE THEIR FAMILIES
I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS BUT I ENJOYED THIS SEASON AND ALL THE WORK PUT INTO IT.
That was a lot but thanks for listening to my ted talk.

So basically, Keith (and possibly Acxa if they're related) has some kind of internal magic-sensing radar?? Or quintessence-sensitivity? Or something supernatural going on, anyway. I'm really curious what the implications of that ability may be in the long run.
Let’s talk about Keith’s energy sense and how it works! (I’ll also talk about Acxa here)
So far, what we know for sure is that Keith sometimes exhibits a heightened ability to perceive certain elements in his surroundings. In s1e1, major examples of this are when he felt “called” first to the shack, and then felt a kind of ‘field’ around the Blue Lion that he was able to triangulate.
This map and “triangulate” would suggest that Keith can tell when he’s near certain things, and by turning in place he can identify which way will get him closer to it- the three ‘x’es are places he went to, and, from there, identified which way the energy was. By going to three different places, he was able to pin down the energy to a very specific location, which he marked in the smaller circle, and probably found the bigger circle by similar means.
So Keith’s “energy sense”, as I prefer to call it, is a pretty fine-tuned and reliable instrument. It’s not a power that comes and goes, but something very predictable. It operates similarly to Hunk’s Voltron detector, and what they later upgrade to track the comet and thus Lotor- only for Keith, who had no idea what Hunk was talking about with the Fraunhofer line, he has this piece of equipment functionally built into his head.
While we don’t have explicit confirmation, my personal hypothesis is that in s1e10, and parts of s3, this “sense” of Keith’s was also what guided him to focus heavily on the druid and on Lotor.
This would suggest that, rather than Hunk’s tracker, which operates on the specific material of the trans-reality comets, Keith is able to track large volumes of quintessence. Voltron is a perpetual motion machine that radiates vast amounts of energy- so what Keith is picking up here, is simply the large amounts of energy that Blue gives off, rather than a connection between him and the Blue Lion.
But when it comes to the Lion he is connected with, Keith is able to simply sense Red’s position once he gets close enough- while the others require equipment and glowing carvings to guide them to the spot, Keith simply takes a deep breath and experiences a vision of Red’s position.
In s1e10, he focuses first, intently, on the glowing canisters, and then becomes determined to follow them. This draws him to follow the druid, and discover the room full of quintessence. He also tries to take some of it with him, though he doesn’t explain why. He also lasers in on Lotor- when in s4e3, Haggar remarks that Lotor has an unusual energy around him, presumably Sincline itself, though Keith focuses on Lotor before that time.
Also, in s4e6, while he has other reasons to be suspicious, Keith becomes suddenly, incredibly tense about Haggar’s ship and actually says, “I don’t know why, but we have to attack that ship.” At a point in which Haggar is gathering a massive volume of magical energy to destroy Naxzela.
This is the first portion of Keith’s ability, and the most well-documented.
But I suspect there’s another element to this- Keith functionally has a kind of spidey sense.
Allura states that Red requires a pilot that “relies more on instinct than skill alone.” This raises something interesting when we consider Lance is not shown to be a bad pilot- he takes to flying Blue easily, and by s3e1, before he switches to Red, he’s shown to pull off some very complicated maneuvers and be a powerful dogfighter.
And yet he runs into not just problems with Red, but a very specific problem: he’s never able to react in time because Red moves too quickly.
A problem Keith has never had, even though Red would be leagues faster than anything Keith has ever flown.
On several occasions, in combat, Keith can be observed to preemptively orient himself to face an enemy he has no way of knowing is there. Most obviously, this happens in s1e10, fighting the druid, and also in s3e3, fighting Lotor. In the former case, the druid keeps teleporting around him, soundlessly, and attacking from blind angles. Each time, Keith pauses, sometimes appears to glance around his surroundings, and then looks at, or turns to face, his attacking enemy.
In s3e3, Keith, despite being explicitly on a planet that destroys all conventional sensors without specific adjustments- where Black is functionally blindfolded- finds Lotor repeatedly, at one point verbatim says, “He’s around here somewhere, I know he is,” and on another occasion, suddenly snaps his head upright to look above him- and seconds later Lotor dives the team from exactly where Keith was looking.
This is where I’m gonna mention Acxa, because Acxa herself seems to do this! Most noticeably on s3e2, when the generals first arrive on Puig, Acxa is disseminating orders, facing her left. A Puigian rebel shoots a laser at the back of her head, standing in the opposite direction from which she’s looking- the laser makes no sound until it crosses in front of the screen. However, Acxa dodges it by pulling her head back. Which casts suspicion overall on her incredible aim, and that she rarely properly steadies herself while shooting- if anything, she’s prone to shooting rapidly while tumbling or flipping through the air, which makes her actual marksmanship unusual- especially when the other sharpshooter in our cast, Lance, is shown to take time, aim carefully, and/or use a scope or sighting along the barrel to make his shots precisely.
(though, admittedly, he’s also made some downright amazing shots that we haven’t seen Acxa- precise distance shots are more his area while Acxa’s more impressive for her ability to shoot while moving)
Other scenes that become suspect in this would include s1e6, when Rolo leads the Lions into an asteroid field to escape them- Keith, and Red, go inside, and navigate the field of moving and colliding rocks with little difficulty.
This also becomes suspicious with the strong emphasis on instinct for the Red Lion- because “instinct” refers to intuition, having a ‘gut feeling’ about things, or processing information minutely on a subconscious level. Consider Alfor, Keith’s predecessor, in s3e7, and how he’s the conduit for understanding Voltron- its name, its capabilities, how it operates, and what must be done. He does not obtain this information by conventional means.
Red also forms a set with Green, who is all about conventional means of gathering information- technology, science, investigation, communication. As both of the legs are tasked with supporting and protecting the team, it makes sense the arms also share a task- and the task of the arms is gathering intelligence to return it to the head.
Alfor also responds with great animosity and discomfort to the rift creature when he first sees it, before it ever turns aggressive, and in contrast with his nature before then, where he’s established as almost brash to a fault.
As an aside, it’s also worth noting that Keith has some very stereotypically oracular traits. Out of the team, he’s the only one with a particular striking, unusual eye color- his distinctive indigo irises. He also is first encountered living in seclusion in the desert, focusing on a subtle, but insistent “calling” that he can’t explain and is unfamiliar with the science that validates his bizarrely potent gut feeling. Something Lance calls “Mumbo-jumbo”
There appears to be another side to this ability- something Keith hasn’t exhibited much on his own but someone else before him seems to have in Blue’s cavern.
That being clairvoyance. The ability to predict events before they actually happen, or that happened far away from you.
Keith tells us that someone wrote down, in the carvings and paintings around the Blue Lion, about “some kind of arrival happening last night. Then you showed up.”
So, at some point, before Keith found the carvings, someone knew Shiro would arrive, on a specific day, and marked it down.
One of the big things about s2e8 and the Trial of Marmora, while this was explicitly bequeathed by the suit, is that visions are a big deal to Keith, especially when it comes to his history, and his family. What he’s seeing, what’s real, and what’s born of his fears. Because sometimes Keith is able to pull genuine information from a nebulous source- as I’ve listed before- but other times, like his dream in s2e6, is completely inaccurate, and the trial is explicitly tinted by his fears and not what’s really there.
So I have to wonder if this is an exercise in character development for Keith- that maybe his murky nightmares contain valuable information or warnings, but he has yet to refine that ability as much as it could- to the level of whoever left the warning for him in the cave.
Perhaps another mysterious figure who seems to be linked to that area and has purple eyes just like Keith does... and who would have a connection to both Keith and Acxa if the theory of them being siblings is true.

(Hey, don't worry! I love discussions so reply and reblog all you want ^^)
YES you added a very good point to my post. Honestly Kacxa easily falls into the worst relationship in this entire show.
A fun fact, I think a lot of people thought Acxa was Keith's sibling because of exactly what you pointed out: they're too similar. Acxa and the generals were literally just created to parallel the paladins of Voltron. But seeing all their individual potentials as characters, only for them to be thrown away as plot devices instead, is really frustrating and a disservice to all four generals. Side characters can be important too, they can develop as they own person without their life revolving around the main cast. But the EPs don't seem to think that, I guess.
But, as I pointed out, Acxa is exactly that, a plot device.
So she was used as one of the main character's love interest because "oh, she so similar!".
Tbh Keith has literally no reason to have a love interest because he simply showed no interest in romance at all, but I guess the EPs decided to shove him a romantic partner anyways because he was made to be their cliche Gary Stu anime protagonist that is so oblivious to romance and is so op and so cool or whatever, but of course he needs to get a girl cause he cool. Definetely a lack of good writing. The worse part is that he became the Gary Stu over the course of the seasons... sigh, Keith deserved better.
Anyway, back to Kacxa, they needed to give their oh-so-cool I-don't care-about-romance protagonist a love interest. And it turned out kinda sexist as a consequence. Acxa literally moving from following a man to following another is so, weird, to me. She could have created her own amazing path and turned out an amazing character, but basically, she's just thrown here and there following someone after another in the entire series, and since the exactly same estruture was used to her romance, it turned non-reciprocal and one-sided instead. (Ok, I know Keith might become romantically interested in her in s8, but that won't erase the fact of how this romance was a disservice to Acxa's character).
Another thing, I totally understand why so many people thought Keith was gay, despite this never being clearly pointed out in the show. The creators gave opening to it be interpreted that way, but honestly, they just wanted to show that Keith was way to cool to get a girl.
Until she was an avid follower and carbon copy of him, of course. That Keith will like.
I agree with you that romantic love interests shouldn't be so identical to one another, and especially, they should compliment each other. And that's exactly what Keith and Acxa lack. Differences, dynamic, complementation.
And I barely mentioned another crucial thing you pointed out: they were badly built up. Acxa barely appears in the series, their interactions are almost non-existent, so making she have a crush on Keith now makes things look sudden and out of the blue.
Anyway, I plan on doing an entire post about Kacxa when s8 comes out, but thanks for sharing another important aspect to remember about vld's romantic subplots cause gosh, are they terrible.
Tbh I’m legit disappointed Klance isn’t canon
After reading the tittle many people will come to me complaining and shouting “VOLTRON ISN’T ABOUT SHIPS, GO DIE”, I guess. But you know what? I have the fucking right to be disappointed by something and express my opinion, so if you don’t like it, scroll away.
LONG POST WARNING!
Now onto the post. I’m really sad Klance isn’t canon guys, and I mean, really disappointed.
When I was watching S7, I stopped right after the scene Allura blushes to Lance and I couldn’t finish the season. I still haven’t finished and probably never will. That scene just made me so sick, I couldn’t understand why at that moment but now I see it.
It’s because, it’s such a harmful trope. Allura is liking Lance just because he was nice to her, not because they share interests or characteristics, neither because they make a great team. It’s only due to Lance being a nice guy to her, and that’s it. And, even if Allurance was executed better, I still wouldn’t like it and you guys know why?
Because they’re nothing alike each other. They’re not compatible, these two are so different in terms of goals, ways of thinking and even what they enjoy doing that, seeing these two get together felt so wrong to me, and I felt so sick. I still feel sick about it. I think it’s mainly because A//urance reminded me a lot of my first relationship and, as someone who dated a guy just because he was my friend and was nice to me, I can assure you guys these kind of relationships don’t work. There’s just so much more about romance, and constructing romantic subplots in stories, that building only a good friendship just isn’t enough. So, I can only imagine Lance and Allura’s relationship falling apart.
But I guess they won’t do that, right? They’ll still make this unrealistic couple happily ever after. Such a weird move for a show that claims to be realistic and dark and, how do they say, “about war” or stuff.
Now, moving on and onto the real discussion, Klance. Klance was my first LGBT ship, and I can say it changed my entire view about LGBT in general. I simply started liking them without knowing how to stop XD I guess many Klance shippers feel the same. But, it was mainly because they worked so well together. I saw those fanarts and those metas and those theories, and Keith and Lance as a romantic couple grew so naturally on me. I could see their potential and how each other could benefit from a romance, disregarding gender. But why I liked them so much in detriment of other canon couples you guys ask?
The answer is simple, they build one of the most compatible relationships of the entire show. Both share similar interests (becoming pilots), both are right hand mans, revealing their common characteristics (besides them constantly mirroring each other, showing their similarity), and their opposite differences complement each other, specially in team work, as this is shown by the show itself, and even with a clear statement by loverboy Lance himself, “we are a good team”
To make a good romantic relationship is to go beyond making a good friendship. Friendships don’t exaclty mean relationships. Both Allura and Lance and Keith and Lance had great friendships, but the aspects I mentioned above are what make a friendship go beyond that into building a romantic chemistry. And Allura and Lance simply don’t have that. They don’t complement each other.
But I guess boy and girl friendships automatically means love… *sigh* And the showrunners made that very clear by developing Allura and Lance’s friendship exactly the same way Keith and Lance’s friendship was developed, but for some reason the first one is considered romantic progress… *shrugs*
So, I legit thought Klance would be canon. I legit thought they would be a surprise.
Because, aside from them making the most sense out in the show, the producers and voice actors kept teasing about it. Remember the drawing from LM, where they made Lance holds the LGBT sign with a nervous expression alongside Shiro? (Now that we know he’s straight it feels so wrong…) Remember that interview where she straight up recongnises how compatible Keith and Lance are? (Meaning they saw the potential, but decided to go towards A//urance regardless) And how about that recent interview entirely about Klance where JDS said they are a natural progression? And right after that, telling about a similar dinamic in another series where the characters that parallel Klance eventually get together? And let’s not talk about the fanarts they liked.
To sum it up, I legit thought they were teasing Klance like it would really be canon. And fans can’t be blamed for it. The producers never acknowledged it, sure, but AL wasn’t acknowledged but them either. It’s funny cause, I trusted the EPs so much and A//urance seemed so out of the blue to me that I completely disregarded the possibility of them being canon. And to top it all they made all that teasing I mentioned above, allowing a second interpretation that KL would really be the path.
*sigh* I’m very disappointed. Not only did they fuck up with the romance subplots (with the exception of Hunay, but it was barely touched upon until S7) and LGBT rep, but only now I noticed how flawed and shallow was their story and how much character potential we lost. So I’m legitimately upset. They could’ve handled the whole shipping thing so much better. They could have at least clarified it wasn’t going to be canon, but nope, they teased it instead.
But guys, these people are smart. Or do you think they wanted to lose over half their fanbase and popularity? They knew Klance was very very very popular.
So they used us as bait for their show instead.
So yeah, that’s it. I’m just really disappointed by the show. I’ve become such a fan of it because of its characters, and Klance changed my view of things so much, but guess what? The characters weren’t properly explored and developed, this including the relationships between them, and Keith and Lance’s friendship wasn’t fleshed out the way I personally thought it should have been. They composed one of the best team dinamics within the show, so even if they haven’t made then love each other, I at least expected a proper development of their friendship.
That is all. I just wanted to vent my entire view about Voltron’s romance subplots. In general, I think they suck. And the overall plot doesn’t make it better either, since now it’s mostly composed of emotionless fights, lack of character interaction, and use of flat drama for shock value.
And yes, I really think Klance had the potential to be one of the most amazing romances in cartoons, regardless of being gay or not.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

I'm hoping for a future enemy-mine style teamup between the Paladins and Team Lotor (the Pilots? the Generals?) against a larger threat, both because it'd be cool and those are always fun thematically, but also because Keith and Acxa could (if they're siblings) deal with all of that, and their respective teams could react to the family reveal. and be baffled that their red paladin/sharpshooter SiC has a sibling like that (i know this is unlikely to happen but it'd make me happy SO.)
Proposed thoughts to fuel that hunger because I love that scenario too:
*Lotor voice* “You don’t want to die here... we don’t want to die here... we have so much in common”
Hunk has zero intention of warming up to these guys but runs into Kova before he quite grasps the whole “wherever Kova is, Narti is probably also” and shoot man, that’s a good cat, who’s a good kitty, you are. Totally babytalks/spoils Kova who is, as I pointed out, an absolute snugglemonster like tell me he wouldn’t love Hunk if they were on friendly terms.Narti adds Hunk to ‘list of people I will protect with my life’ and starts sort of hanging around him, which gives Hunk the heebie jeebies something fierce because he has no idea why.
Featuring the “Keith and Acxa are siblings” theory: they are twins and have been doing twin things their entire life without realizing it and now that they’re stuck with each other, people from both teams keep pointing out just how often they’re accidentally doing the same thing and it drives them nuts.
Shiro starts picking up the sneaking suspicion Lotor has had a Very Bad Home Life and it’s not like he wasn’t down to kick Zarkon and Haggar’s asses before but next person who tries to take Lotor back to the imperial fleet definitely gets a metal fist in the face.
Conversely Lotor sort of has the growing realization he’s getting emotionally attached to these losers and his stress level goes through the ceiling because he has a pretty solid idea of what these people get up to.
Acxa and Pidge start putting their heads together on experimental technology, which is the good news. The bad news is both of them are fairly awful all-nighters and enable each other awfully. The combined teams have to stage an intervention.
In general I imagine the paladins are way freaked out by Narti at first which her team can’t help but find utterly hilarious because you obviously fundamentally don’t understand Narti if the wall-crawling and telepathic powers let her scare you. Hunk ironically is the one to break that particular barrier on the paladins’ side because one time he’s working on something and has to go get a ladder and Narti just has Kova look at what he’s doing, climbs the surface and fixes him and then hops back down like ‘all right that was nice what’s next’
Conversely there is a solid period of time Lotor is utterly unsure of what to make of Coran because the guy throws off so many confusing signals, like- is he actually an irrelevant old guy? Is he actually a cunning tactician who can potentially snap your neck if crossed? How much is rambling useless anecdotes and how much of that is strategy.Coran is just basically a little bemused how squirrelly Lotor is. I also think that not particularly far into their cooperation he’s mentally signing adoption papers.
Kova and the mice have an uneasy ceasefire and are completely unsure of what to make of each other because on the one hand natural predator/prey divides but on the other they can understand each other and that freaks out both parties.

If Keith and Acxa are siblings, how are they going to figure out they're related? I imagine since their parents aren't around it'll be difficult for them to realize that connection.
A couple of scenarios, depending on what we’re taking:
Acxa is the older sibling and at least distantly remembers she has a younger brother because she remembers when they split up, so she recognizes Keith’s knife (notice every time he’s run into her, he’s technically had access to it but not used it) and immediately has Some Concerns.
They’re the same age and both of them only remember One Parent but there are enough details they can put two and two together.
They’re both either half-human-half-galra or half-galra-half-polluxian(?) druid(?) depending on if you take or leave the Druid Dad Kogane theory, and frankly either of those would be rare, especially if Acxa’s got human heritage since Earth is pre-contact and there are… not exactly a terrific abundance of people with partial human heritage tearing around.
It’s possible that whatever odd ability Keith seems to have with energy sensing is one he and Acxa share. I’ve noticed in more than a few scenes with Acxa shooting, the series uses a kind of slow-mo effect to show that she’s making rather obscenely precise shots (we very rarely see her miss) while flipping and tumbling through the air- like she just reflexively knows where to aim. This is suspicious considering that in s1e10, with Keith vs. the druid, we see Keith doing something similar where he keeps, with brief pauses to ‘listen’, whipping around to face the druid without anything obvious alerting him to the druid’s appearance.
