Katherine Legge’s motorsports resume includes experience in Formula 3, Formula Renault, a Formula One test, Champ Car, INDYCAR, A1GP, DTM, Formula E and sports car racing. Legge was the first woman to win pole in a Zetec race in 2000. One year later she won BRDC’s “Rising Star” award.
In November 2005 she became the first woman to test a Formula One car since Sarah Fisher in 2002. Legge competed in the Toyota Atlantic Championship in 2005, winning the series opener in Long Beach in her first career start to become the first woman to win a developmental open wheel race in North America. She finished the 2005 Atlantic season third in the championship with three wins and five podiums. She moved up to PKV Racing in Champ Car in 2006 and became the first woman to lead a lap in that series when she led Lap 12 at Milwaukee and went on to earn an Indy car career best finish there of sixth. She later had a massive crash at Road America but was largely uninjured and able to compete in the final two races of the season. She competed for Dale Coyne Racing in 2007 and matched her best series finish of sixth at Long Beach and earned her best Indy car start of eighth, twice, before returning to Europe to compete in the DTM touring car series from 2008-2010 where she was an Audi factory driver. After a one-year hiatus from racing, she joined Dragon Racing’s INDYCAR SERIES team in 2012 but a short-lived Lotus program led to the team only being able to secure one Chevrolet engine for two drivers and Legge only competed on oval tracks.
She moved to the Delta Wing sports car program from 2013-2015 and also competed in two Formula E races with Amlin Aguri in the 2014/2015 season. She spent three seasons with Meyer Shank Racing from 2017-2019 in a factory-backed Acura GTD program and earned four wins and 11 podium finishes – including the first win worldwide for NSX in Detroit in 2017. In 2020, she competed in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in a Lamborghini in the GTD class before switching her focus to a European-based racing program. She signed with Richard Mille Racing to take part in the 2020 European Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 prototype category but was injured in a pre-season testing crash after a tire failure at the Paul Ricard circuit and missed the remainder of the season while recovering from her injuries. In 2021-2022, she returned to IMSA as lead driver for Team Hardpoint, driving a Porsche 911 in the GTD class and currently competes in an Acura NSX in the GTD class for Gradient Racing in 2023. She and her co-drivers recently finished fourth in class at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
In her free time, Katherine is a Girl Scouts STEM Ambassador and enjoys skiing, cycling, training and competing in triathlons, yoga and is a vegan athlete. Legge is the second female race car driver to compete for RLL. Danica Patrick competed in the Atlantic Series with the team from 2003-2004 and in the IndyCar Series from 2005-2006.

Car(s):
1991 NSX Sebring Silver
2002 NSX-T Long Beach Blue Pearl
2004 Honda S2000 Silverstone
Hometown: Laval, Québec
Car Club: Club S2000 Québec
Your story about how you got into the car scene:
GL: I came just like that at the end of the 90’s when I bought a 1994 Acura Integra. I really like what Honda/Acura did during that era. For me, the true pinnacle of it was the Acura NSX. I remember the first time I saw one on the road, parked in Saint-Sauveur. I knew at the time that it was the only car I wanted, nothing else. It took 10 years before I could afford one. I really enjoy driving the, it’s not the fastest car on the road or the most powerful one but it’s just perfect for me.
Tell us about the current modifications on your car and where do you find your inspiration:
GL: I really dig the 2002 + style of the NSX, so for the 1991 Sebring Silver NSX, I installed all the 02 + OEM body parts but I kept the pop-up front end of the original styling.
I did the following mods:
- 02 + OEM Side skirts, Door molding, Rear Valance, Rear complete taillight kit, Sub-Spoiler, 02 + Wheels set, NSX-R Mesh Shift Boot and Knob.
- I swapped the (boring) factory exhaust with a Pride V2 Hi-flow exhaust, more musical.
For the 2002 Long Beach Blue Pearl, the car is almost stock, except:
- Pride V2 Exhaust
- Bilstein lowering springs.
- 02 + NSX-R Mesh Shift Boot and Knob
The 2004 S2000 is completely stock, only lowering springs.
Future plans for your car:
GL: The LBBP will have new shoes this spring, a brand-new set of Advan RS 17x8 and 18x10. That is pretty much what I want to do. I want to keep them as OEM as possible.
If money was not an issue, what would your dream car/build be:
GL:
1997-01 Acura Integra Type R, Championship White
2001-06 BMW M3 6Spd coupe, Phoenix Yellow.
2002-2005 Acura NSX, Imola Orange.

That Time Forgot: Honda HSC
A supposed successor to the original NSX, perhaps? Probably so, but it didn’t make the cut. Let’s travel back in time and talk about this car, in today’s installment of That Time Forgot.
Unveiled at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show, the HSC was a futuristic and sleek sports car concept for its time. The car also received a feature at the Geneva Motor Show and was also branded as an Acura for the 2004 North American International Auto Show. The name stood for “Honda Sports Concept” or “High-performance Sports Car” depending on who you asked.
Powered by an i-VTEC 3.5L naturally-aspirated V6 producing over 300 horsepower, the HSC was made of carbon fiber placed on an aluminum frame. A 6-speed paddle-shift gearbox was standard. The exhaust pipes were made of aluminum and the car had swan doors.
Immediately after it was released, speculations arose saying that the car was meant to be a successor to the NSX, but Honda never confirmed this. After its tour of the auto show circuit, development on the HSC went silent; it was only in 2005 when the HSC was confirmed to be purely a concept car, with no plans for production. It was subsequently followed by the Acura Advanced Sports Car Concept (or ASCC, shown below), which was in turn followed up by the Acura NSX concept which eventually came the next-generation Honda (or Acura, depending on where you live) NSX.
Okay, now that we’ve gotten all that history out of the way, let’s talk about the reason why you’re here: the history of its Hot Wheels counterpart.
Designed by Mark Jones, the Honda HSC (Hot Wheels calls it the Acura HSC Concept) was introduced in 2005 as a First Edition. It was first released in the above silver color scheme, replicating that of the real HSC. A notable feature of the HSC is the plastic insert headlamps, something that not a lot of castings have; the headlamps are part of the window piece.
There was a version of the HSC featured with Faster Than Ever wheels, with nickel plated axles for less friction. Faster Than Ever HSCs are apparently very, very fast even though the casting is notably very light.
This casting features a plastic base with the distinctive cut-out Hot Wheels logo which graced cars from 2005 to 2006; this logo was designed and patented by ex-Hot Wheels designer Nathan Proch. Due to cost cutting, this logo has since been removed. The base is made of plastic; the silver Hot Wheels logo is part of the interior piece.
This casting received a total of nine releases and was last seen in 2014 as a Mystery Model in the above colorscheme.
Now I’d want this casting to return to the lineup, although I have other castings I want to return more than this. Despite this, I hope you now know a little bit more about Honda’s high-performance sports concept car, and as usual, I’d do it again any day.
- Grunty

Thought experiment.
A business based on using brand new cars as Touro cars. This business doesn't make profit, but makes a lot of revenue. Imagine using all brand new Mazdas. And maintaining them well.
Unlimited mileage. High discounts for long term. Maximum delivery fee.
Oil change every 10k. Transmission fluid change every 50k, undercoats, etc.
In the end we have the problem of guests fucking up brand new cars, The high costs, etc. It just makes no sense. But then again it's not supposed to make financial sense. It's supposed to just make cash flow.
The idea is to get the car from beginning, Make sure it's well maintained.
Probably be better to do enthusiast-only rentals.
What cars would I rent?
