Do I know how to draw? No. Will I let that stop me from drawing fanart of KazeKi? Also no. A few nights ago, instead of restful sleep, I had a thousand other things going through my mind. Among them was, still, KazeKi. The next day, after waking up, I realized I was feeling this weird, very unusual urge to make something about it, and so, I acted on it, for the next three (how am i so slow) days. Iām not at all a creative person, so this should tell you how ludicrously obsessed I've been. Anyway, this is actually the first piece of fan art Iāve ever made, if you donāt count childhood drawings. If you do, then this is the first piece of creative stuff Iāve ever deliberately created due to having been moved by a work of art in my adulthood. There, sheesh. Even with a reference picture right there, their hair was difficult to draw, but I ended up satisfied, specially with Sergeās hair. However, I donāt think Iāve managed to make Gilbert even half as dainty as he shouldāve been. Oh well. This took an unreasonable amount of time to draw, but I loved to do it. There was this moment where my squiggles suddenly lined up, and the frenchbois were there, recognizable, in all their dopey glory! It honestly felt a little magic. And colouring it, waving the mouse around, seeing them gain substance, it was so relaxing. In the end, this silly little MSPaint-looking thingy only qualifies as a drawing because thereās no other word to label it. And, still, I love it, and Iām glad I drew it. I guess the beauty of creation can be felt even without any artistic skill involved, if it comes from somewhere sincere. Some fun facts: - Hands are unreasonably hard to draw - Feet are even harder - Gilbert is dainty - Serge is too but not as much - My wrist is tired - I wish I had a Lacombrade Academy uniform
