maybe its a malaysia thing cause wow the tap water here is SHIT thankfully i dont live in selangor (sabah's tap water is still mostly clean if youre desperate to drink) cause dear lord the tap water tastes so chemical its unsafe. so water dispensers are very commonplace here and if youre one of those rich asians who want the drink the best water they usually own alkaline ionized water machines which... supposedly taste better?? idk im only asian and not rich

but yeah boiling is the most common!! microwave to my knowledge is mostly dorm students and people who dont know how to use stoves
