i literally hate when people ask me abt my taste in media i never know what to say. like idk i like npr. big david sedaris fan. the comedy club down the road has pretty good improv shows. like i don't knowwwww
#the problem with being a comedy nerd is that unless im talking to another comedy nerd they Don't Get It#and ive made the mistake of trying to explain the concept of catsdown to americans before and i just can't anymore#like there's already layers there because i have to explain both countdown and the concept of a comedy panel show#and neither of those ever quite clicks i can always tell#so i can't name the one single tv show that i have spent by far the most amount of hours in my life watching#and anything else i could come up with is also too obscure 💀#have you ever tried to explain the alternative comics movement to a coworker who exclusively reads literary fiction?#don't get me started on music my favorite artists are a talk-singing band and a bunch of alt country artists#i just publicly identify as a swiftie and allow people to believe that's all i listen to#actually thank god for sabrina carpenter and olivia rodrigo i can use them too#im so constantly upset that im bad at small talk... and yet this is my mental process#perhaps im my own worst enemy and just need to get over it and let people google shit lmao#not my fault i have better taste than everyone else ig (better is debatable. funnier for sure tho)#bri babbles
