I love my weird little mountain town for many reasons, but a good example is that there's a woman who walks her dog by my house every day wearing a variety of 17th century dress and bonnet garb, and I legitimately don't know if that's because she's an actor at the Shakespeare center working on a play set in that era, or if she's a reenactor at the 17th century German living history settlement/farm in town, or if she just relaxes in that style of clothing every day for the pure pleasure of it.
