also i do think javier is really cute when he flirts with tilly but he’s so public about it and nothing between them happens so that tells me: 1. he’s not serious and tilly turned him down for something casual, or 2. he’s doing it for image. he’s probably flirted with mary beth, karen, abigail and jenny, too (and maybe slept with karen, abigail and jenny?? or maybe not, he might’ve only said that comment about abigail in rdr1 to hurt john which is very likely) add that to his vanity (as commented on by several gang members) and john’s quote about the cynic wanting to be a romantic just gets more and more real 😵‍💫 im obsessed. he wants to believe in something

#rdr2 brain worms #actually ive done more thinking and cant make up my mind lmfaoo idk #maybe john is right but also. javier had such a fucked up childhood and wanted to be a hero #so he murdered a bad man and justified it to avenge a woman he thought he loved #or maybe did love. idk but i think javier was more consumed with getting rid of a tyrant and the woman just made the story romantic #ANYWAY dutch is who javier wants to be. a hero/a rebel/a robin hood figure. and once the gang splits up #he just kind of gives up on the dream??? of being a hero/being loved #and leans fully into the selfishness we see in rdr1
