#actual full wade x logan for once yay

yammering about the clone fic to hopefully get my brain going in the right direction

Okay, so like the song that doesn't end, we are once again at I've got to figure out what the heck is going on with Wade in this fic or it can't really get off the ground, because his POVs will influence Logan's POVs.

So the fic is a horror fic with some tragedy but not a full on bleak tragedy more of a you were always going to end up here, be careful what you wish for kind of tragedy.

So like Logan's hook is that he's finally free form a universe in which he functions as an immortal clone of their Anchor Being, which stabilized his universe but every time the X-Men die, everything resets for everyone to be reborn again and a 50 year cycle to happen in a different way until the X-Men die again, etc... So at the start of the fic, he's finally free and his hook is burying the past, a chance at a fresh life, etc...

But like any decent horror, to get that he's going to have to definitively put his universe to death. Which means they've got to come kidnap him and Wade's got to go help Logan get back to Wade's universe, which of course will mean the X-Men are doomed to finally die for good because the universe won't reset if Logan's not there for long enough.

Anyway, so what I need to figure out for Wade is a motivation/desire/hook/etc... that he wants that either comes with a price or will monkey paw on him a bit. Possibly something relating back to Logan getting kidnapped or relating back to the fact Wade is going to have to leave his universe temporarily Anchor Beingless to go get Logan and bring him home.

Now in previous fics, I've done Wade can't choose between Vanessa and Logan and why should he he's having a flat arc. I've also done Wade is okay with things staying platonic (even though he's kind of not) because he knows Logan's new to the universe and Wade did you know kidnap him. And I've done Wade's midlife crisis from between DP2 and DP3 is still a thing and he needs to figure out where he belongs (aka with his little found family yay).

So he could get another flat arc, but that still needs a desire attached to it and I'd like that to be something bigger than they fucked in the Honda and he wants to fuck Logan again (also would be nice if I didn't walk myself into another horny on main fic like the polyship and trait sharing fics).

But if it was as simple as that, then that would mean something about finally getting it on is what sets off Logan getting kidnapped, etc...etc... which could work but again, trying not to end up writing another sex scene. Those are such a pain and I don't even go there because it's not my kink, etc...etc...

Anyway, I need something in the same category as Logan wants to be free whoops he's actually not and then oh no there is a PRICE. But I just no thoughts head empty still.
