Fly Swatter Tennis

This game is great on two fronts. It is a movement activity so your residents get exercise and social activity that is cognitively stimulating.

Supplies: 4-10 balloons Fly Swatter Hands, you can get Here

Instructions: Seat residents in a large circle well apart from each other. Alternatively, you may have two teams: sitting across from each other. Inflate Several balloons and start the game. You can use music to liven up the atmosphere. The games aim to have the balloon on the floor as little as possible.

Horse Races

You will need

Two  large Dice you can get here

Six horses ( these were made by an employee)

One race track ( I connected two large fabric pieces and used duct tape to line it.

Participants will pick a horse at the start of the races. Our horses are decorated like College football Teams this helps promote excitement, but you can have them decorated any way you like.

Each person will roll two dice one that picks the horse to move the other the number of spaces.

First Horse to the finish line wins.

Cover one of the dice with paper printouts that represents your horses, cover with packing tape for durability.

We made a race track with fabric and used duct tape for the lines but you can put scotch tape on the floor.

This Game can also be played on a table top with small props but why not go big!

Let everyone take turns rolling until you have a winner.
