UK's Coats Digital boosts Odlo's productivity by 10% with GSDCost
UK-based digital solutions company Coats Digital has announced that Odlo Romania SRL, which is the fashion manufacturing arm of leading sportswear brand, Odlo International AG, has reduced the time it takes to produce its core styles by 13 per cent, resulting in a productivity increase of 10 per cent since its adoption of GSDCost in July 2021.
Odlo has subsequently increased its profit margins; greatly improved on-time deliveries; enhanced team member motivation and earning potential; and been able to confidently take on significantly more new order requests as a result of the GSDCost implementation, according to a joint press release by Odlo and Coats Digital.
Founded in Norway, Odlo offers performance sportswear across six categories: functional sports underwear, outdoor performance, running, cycling, activewear and Nordic disciplines. The inventor of performance sports underwear and the three-layer principle, Odlo boasts a 70-year heritage, an annual turnover of $28 million and a strong commitment to innovation, and social and environmental sustainability. Now I have had a lot of people blow up my emails and DMs when I was in Turkey about trying out this brand. I decided to invest in a few pairs (with this being the 1st to get reviewed). As I had bought this pair from the store in Antalya, Turkey so I can’t give you much in terms of pricing unfortunately.
About Penti
“Our story began in 1950 as two separate companies which were then united under a single brand, Öğretmen Çorap, in 1970. This was followed by the launch of our production facility in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul and the final phase of our branding process came in 1984 when Öğretmen Çorap was replaced with Penti.
Over the years, we continued our growth in production and retail activities, expanding our offering of legwear targeting women and girls with men’s socks, homewear & activewear, intimates and beachwear lines.
We currently have a total of 300 stores across Turkey, 106 stores in 29 different countries and have exports to 43 countries. The number of stores is continuously growing and being complemented by sales offices located in the United Kingdom, Romania, Ukraine and Spain. We offer Penti to people from numerous nationalities on a vast geography, notably in the EU, Balkans, CIS and MENA.
These achievements and the growth rate has attracted the attention of foreign investors, resulting in a partnership in 2012 with Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest venture capital, marking yet another milestone towards our goal of creating a global Turkish brand.
Our objective now is to further strengthen our leadership position in the legwear market and achieve the same leadership in intimates and beachwear retailing.
We are the second largest manufacturer in Europe as well as the manufacturer of world’s several well-known brands.”

The Review
The Packaging: as you can see below, the packaging is quite simple but enough to grab your attention. The front shows the model wearing a matte pair along with the brand name, and the back goes into a little more detail.
When you get in, you will find these are wrapped around promotional card. They also come flat folded so you don’t get any leg or foot shaping to it.
Getting Them On: I did my little scrunch and roll, and took my time rolling them up my legs. I took care going over my anklets, making sure that they go smoothly over.
I also wanted to show you the colour difference once it’s on the legs; it adds a slight tan colour and smooths out the appearance too.
On The Legs: now I didn’t take many images as my camera was going against me today but as they’re a nude pair there wasn’t much for me to say or show really.
The quality of these are amazing; they have a nice amount of stretch on the legs so it hugs really well. I didn’t end up with any snags or rips either whilst I was in them and I was being pretty careless in them as well to test that out.
The fit of them are true to size. I would recommend checking their sizing guide before you purchase just in case. The feel of them are really soft even though they are a matte finish on the legs. They felt great on the legs and looked amazing with my outfit. I could have easily worn a shiny pair but I wanted to tone it down slightly instead so I opted for this pair instead.
The colour nude did work for me, but I felt it was slightly pale. I mean it did look great, but I wanted to go for a bronze (which they didn’t have in stock) so I could add some colour onto the legs instead. These would be a good pair to layer on top of 🙂
The Toes & Ankle: we are thankful for the reinforced toes here! I quite like how it covers the toes properly (basically all the way to the end rather than mid-section). This does make it harder to wear open toe sandals and shoes – but if it matches your skin tone well then you don’t need to worry too much. I wore mine with open toe and from afar you couldn’t tell I had reinforced toes until you look close up.
It’s a lovely fit around the ankle, feet and also the toes. There was no pressure applied whilst I was in them and there was a nice amount of wiggle room too.
The Waistband & Gusset: is pretty decent on these and comfortable too. These sit around the belly button (maybe a tad bit higher) on me but they stay put all day long without any issues. I could move in these without feeling restricted, which I liked.
There is no reinforcement around the band – I just wanted to make sure I noted that down here!
The gusset as you can see is a small piece with no cotton lining to it. I felt it could have done with it so people have the choice to go commando if they wish, but clearly not.
My Thoughts?
I gotta say these are a great pair of hosiery that I got to try out. I am so glad I have a few more pairs to do, so you can see how the collection varies (I just hope the quality doesn’t). I did like the colour, but I wish I went a little darker in the nude instead.
