Nothing in cinema will ever ever top that phase from like the mid seventies to mid eighties where every movie that Jackie Chan made had at LEAST three interweaving plot lines happening simultaneously that were all convoluted in their own right and would ultimately all intersect at one or two points to create an immensely fun if a bit hard to follow time. Usually st least one of them would also require
A) prior knowledge of like the stock market
B) speaking two or three languages
or C) major historical events that were at least never covered in any school that I attended
in order to be fully appreciated. Best movies ever I could and have watched them multiple times and every rewatch I notice something new that makes other events click into place better.
I mean did they have nice wrapped up endings? No not at all! They usually kinda just,,,,, end with a cut scene but to me that makes it even better and more hilarious.
