And another was reborn.
I will forever be fascinated with Silco's whole Rebirth Narrative™. It's so psychologically twisted. Such a crunchy character trait. It's how I like my blorbos. Unhinged.
Anyway, here's another WIP I'll never finish so I'm posting it anyway. Painting practice, a couple screenshots used as reference, raw-dogging it on one layer in Krita because I have no idea how to paint digitally. Enjoy.
Close ups under the cut.

Y’all, what is up with Season 2 😬
The writing, tone, and pacing are a mess. I walked away from Season 2 Act 2 feeling entirely devoid of emotional connection. What I can still marvel at artistically from an animation triumph I’m left puzzled by the story choices.
As much as I adore seeing flash backs of fresh starry eyed Silco, The timeline is a minefield of plot holes. The decision to have them extremely chummy with Felicia entirely cheapens both his and Vanders choice to take the girls in.
….did Jinx know Silco beforehand? Did he take her in because he recognized her and still felt guilty for her mother’s death? But oh wait Silco and Vander didn’t have a falling out until after Felicia’s death (don’t get me started on how the animation of Vander isn’t consistent with this messy timeline) so how did they NEVER meet Silco before their parents died?
Adding this knowing-the-mom detail in (*cough* retconning), is a single droplet in the lake of writing choices that undercut so much of what I loved about the sweeping emotionally grounded and character driven season 1.
The most egregious plot “twist” and timeline disaster for me, is Vander’s motivation for attempting to murder Silco…I’m meant to believe these once emotionally complex characters are reduced to motivations of our mutual friend died so now I’ll shave and bring my dearest friend and comrade down to the river to drown him? All after my redemptive act of taking in our friend’s children?
(Take a break and look at how lovely he was ❤️🔥)
There is SO MUCH I’m struggling with this season: JesusVictor (all of it. ALL OF IT), Isha as a vehicle for Jinx’s redemption (yikes) without a single drop of emotional connection to the audience, Mel’s journey feeling entirely inconsequential to our usual character driven storytelling and simply there to set up Riots next project, Caitlyn—good god what are any of her motivations, Jinx’s character feeling disjointed and not in the usual way.
Everything is lacking in emotional weight.
To sum up how I felt yesterday, when Jinx called Victor a “fortune cookie” three times in an episode, I had to pause and go for a walk. Literally went to touch grass. The use of an anachronism? Seriously?
The writing in Season 1 was nearly perfection, it’s why I got back into writing and finished my first damn novel, but this….is lazy and I feel on an endless loop of confusion, disappointment, and anxiety for the end.
Were they rushed? Was there an overhaul of writers? Too many of them pulling in different directions? Are our beloved characters simply victims of Riot building their expansive Netflix universe?
Anyway, that’s why there’s fanfic, thank VictorJesus I guess 🥲
#arcane season 2 spoilers#arcane spoilers#arcane series#again I’d like to thank the animators for youngSilco#they’ve done nothing wrong the animation is perfect#silco#arcane silco

Predictions for Arcane as a franchise + my thoughts! Season 2, Act 3 spoilers ahead.
jayce, viktor, and jinx can't be dead. Let me tell you why.
no. 1, Arcane's been pretty explicit with deaths. Silco, Vi and Cait's moms, Benzo, the sergeant from season 1 act 1 etc etc we've all seen dead bodies, time pass without them coming back, or character arcs shifting to accommodate deaths (lsha's and Silco's death shaping Jinx). In season 2, Maddie's, Ambessa's, and random extra's deaths were all shown on screen. Therefore, if we don't see a body, the body's still moving.
no. 2, while this is Arcane's last season, there's going to be more Runeterra shows. Of course we don't know what's going to happen over there, but I don't think Riot and Fortische are just going to throw Arcane's characters away unless they do. "the arcane is waking up" and all that jazz. Seems to me like the arcane isn't back to sleep, and who has experience with the arcane. Oh, right, all these cool guys. Leading to points 3 and 4.
no. 3, Jayce's crystal, given to him by the mage (Viktor) in season 1, was used for teleportation, if I remember correctly. Rather than dying/getting sucked into the crystal, they've been teleported somewhere else and will be used to shift the focus onto that location. This fits. Moving to a completely different location would disrupt the glorious evolution. Plus we didn't see their bodies so.
EDIT: apparently it was the rune of insight or smth. my bad. Still, theres a chance? Please Riot, pleaaseee
from arcanegifs
no. 4, Jinx my beloved. There was a line of shimmer leaving the explosion at the bottom of the pit, and the epilogue of Cait looking at the pit and seeing air ducts hints that Jinx/Powder escaped. I'm pretty sure the Zepplin shown at the end was to imply she left Piltover and Zaun, finally becoming her own person. Throughout the show, her identity was determined by her relationships (hair mirroring Silco's, smoke tattoos for Vi, mental illness from causing her brothers' deaths), and with hallucination Silco suggesting the best way to change the Cycle of Killing is leaving, that's what she chose to do. Additionally, her handwriting for the "the end" at the finale suggests that she was there to write it. She's alive guys trust me. Her change of scenery can be used to shift the focus to a different location.
My personal Thoughts:
on no. 4, I would hate it if they decided to kill Jinx after she found herself. It's overused. Seeing Jinx/Powder finally become herself without Silco's, Zaun's, and her sister's baggage in a new place would be super interesting. As someone who doesn't play League, I've heard there's some blond character she's shipped with from a different country/city? Foreshadowing perhaps? Plus it'd be so in character for her to start a new series with a chaotic "I bet you're wondering what I did after I faked my death."
Cait and Vi will probably remain in Piltover/Zaun doing reform (the show's whole point). The reason why Vi didn't look super duper sad is probably because she's going through shock or because Cait reassured her that Jinx/Powder isn't dead (air ducts). Ekko's probably going to do reform w/ the power couple because that's his motivation.
The sex scene's context is a bit odd, but Jinx literally gave Vi permission to be with Cait so... ? When life gives you lemons, give your gf head i guess. Wish Cait did apology head though, she really hurt Vi... But then again, Vi probably wanted to get lost in the sauce and forget about everything around her, hence the "I don't fucking care" comment.
Jayce was right, Viktor was blinded. Love that they're in love.
It's so interesting to see Sevika going from backing revolutionaries (Silco and Vander) to becoming a revolutionary herself and actually getting a seat on the council!! She went from kingmaker to king.
Thought season 2 was kinda rushed? Idk wished we had hour long episodes just to flesh things out.... still a great season.
It's not over. With the success this show's been giving Netflix, there's at least twenty more on the horizon. God bless Riot and Fortische.
going to go cry now.

In Defense of Vi
*i accidentally posted this in a community first so the formatting is a little off. Sorry*
**Spoilers for all of Arcane**
In Defense of Vi
I must start off saying Vi is my favorite character for disclosure. However, I understand she is not everyone’s and that’s okay! This is not about favorites. But I am writing a few of these because I feel like media literacy itself is severely lacking, regarding a few characters in this story among our fandom and it REALLY bothers me. There are few common criticisms of Vi that are being thrown around that are just bizarre:
Vi is a bad sister
Vi betrayed her people by becoming an enforcer
Vi is “The Jinx” as demonstrated by the AU episode and all those people would be alive and happy if she had died
Vi got Jinx killed at the end of the series (even though we all know Jinx is alive)
Season 1 Act 1:
Per the writers Vi is 14-16 years old in Act 1. When we first see her she is crying from seeing her parents killed, but she is also keeping Powder close and watching over her. Now Vi is a kid. She can’t see Vander’s point of view on why maintaining peace is important, and until it’s too late she never considered the ramifications of leading the group of kids who look up to her on the heist. However, even at her young age, from the time of the heist to the taking of Vander by Sico, we see her fight to protect her siblings, watch over and support Powder, tell Powder he differences make her special and strong, and even take steps to turn herself into law enforcement to spare her people any more pain. Even at that young age she is Brave, selfless and loyal to a fault.
The incident at the warehouse during the attempted rescue of Vander and what follows, is heartbreaking for a variety of reasons, but we also get a good glimpse into the bedrock of Vi’s character during these events. The only time we ever see her leave Powder behind is in this mission because it is so obviously dangerous. We then see Vi, a child, fight for her life to save her family through her own pain and fear. It even seems like they may succeed until Powder’s bomb detonates and their world falls apart.
Now comes the incident that has drawn Vi all sorts of criticism in the fandom. Upon realizing Powder’s part in what occurred, Vi grabs her roughly, hits her, yells at her and calls her a Jinx. Fans have used this moment to draw parallels to Caitlyn’s treatment of Vi at the end of Season 2 Act 1, have linked it to the moment at the end of Season 1 when Jinx claims Vi created her, and labeled Vi a bad sister. Things that should be noted:
Vi is not even old enough to have finished puberty in terms of mental development
She has just watched her brothers die violently
She has just narrowly survived a fight against several adult thugs, many of whom were armed and could have killed her at any point
She is standing over the dead body of her adoptive father. The man who carried them off of that bridge, who even taught her to box.
Obviously Vi was wrong to lash out at Powder. But her reaction was beyond understandable. She is a grieving child in horrible pain, having a very raw moment blaming the only target available. She goes around the corner, is almost immediately horrified at the sight of her sister’s blood on her hands, and tries to go back to her, everything ruined by Marcus and Silco.
Stillwater: Per the writers, Vi spent 6-7 years in Stillwater. Where we learn she was routinely abused and assaulted, deprived of all kindness and basic human decency. A teenage girl who just lost her entire family, and whose last words to her beloved little sister, who she feels immensely responsible for were words of anger. She is unjustly thrown in this horrible place that will craft her into the woman we meet in act 2.
Season 1 Act 2:
We then, of course follow Vi on her journey with Caitlyn to find Powder. Vi watched enforcers kill her parents. She spent a childhood on the run from them. She has been regularly assaulted by them and has been imprisoned by their leader with no cause for years. Yet still, when a stranger in that uniform comes, Vi takes the first chance she can to try and get back to Powder. While in the undercity she is:
She is stabbed
She is beaten
She is hunted
She is knocked out
Al those things considered, and she does not give up. Finally finding Jinx when Jinx sets off the flare. Vi immediately tells her it’s okay that she has changed, its okay that she’s had to do bad things, and tries to apologize for leaving her sister behind even though it was never her choice. Its not until Jinx blows the bridge, killing enforcers, and trying to kill Vi and Caitlyn and Echo that Vi finally goes back to Piltover.
Season 1 Act 3:
Vi doesn’t see Jinx again until the end of this season. But Vi still tries to talk Jinx down at her “dinner party”. She tries to get Jinx to leave with her. Tries to keep Caitlyn and Jinx from harming each other. And while Silco has encouraged every feeling and emotion in Jinx that has fed her mental trauma and her issues, Vi tries to call her back to her real self-reminding her of her true name and those who love her. Tragically despite all of her efforts, all of her pain and shedding of her own blood, she has to watch as her beloved sister murders the mother of the woman she loves
Season 2 Act 1:
We see Vi trying to navigate the immense grief and guilt over her sister’s actions and be there for Caitlyn. An obviously emotionally fraught scenario given Piltovers grief after the attack and their attitudes towards the under city. The big plot point of her Arc in this act is her putting on the uniform of the enforcer. Of note in this are several points:
She initially refuses
When she does agree to do it, Caitlyn has explained she is afraid if she goes alone after Jinx, either she or Jinx will die. Those are the two true nightmare scenarios for Vi. And She tells Vi putting on the uniform is really the only way to be a part of it
Vi knew Piltover retaliation was coming no matter what. After the memorial attack its only exacerbated. Being a part of it is the only way to have someone who knows and cares for under city, Jinx, and Caitlyn there
The use of the grey while undeniably immoral in their efforts to apprehend Jinx is not fatal. And as Vi later explains it was to keep innocent people out of harm’s way while they tracked her sister
As soon as they locate her sister Vi sends the other enforcers home to limit collateral damage
This act culminates in the battle of the Chamber of Janna (Just what I’m calling it). People have used the fact that Vi calls her sister Jinx, and that she partakes in this battle as evidence of her being a bad sister. However, there are details that cannot be ignored:
As far as the name goes by this point Jinx has been insistent on the name herself
In spite of all of her efforts up to this point, Vi has been almost killed by her sister repeatedly, watched her sister almost kill the woman she loves repeatedly, and watched her sister murder the woman she loves mother
Jinx tells Vi quite plainly she hopes she and Caitlyn slept together already before.. heavily implying her intention to kill them. Jinx also tells Sevika earlier that is exactly her intention
Vi cannot bring herself to finish Jinx when she has the chance and stops the fight completely when Isha is in danger
The conclusion of this act sees Vi’s desperate attempts to do the right thing thrown back in her face as she loses her sister again, and Caitlyn breaks her heart and shatters her status as the only enforcer ever to be kind to Vi after a lifetime of loss.
Season 2 Act 2:
Ah Vi’s pitfighter stage. Although I don’t believe the show explicitly tells us how long its been, the writers and various internet sources suggest it has been several months. We find Vi abusing alcohol, fighting nightly with zero regard for her own safety, hallucinating Caitlyn being there for her, and after pushing away Loris being completely and totally alone. Fortunately, most of the conversation I see around this stage is fairly on point although I think we all agree it should have been more fleshed out. We are seeing Vi at her absolute lowest point. To quote Linkin Park in a way She tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it didn’t even matter. She has been betrayed and broken by everyone left in her life who could do so, until of course Jinx returns with news of Vander’s re-emergence. Now, there is a lot of talk about Vi’s behavior during this act and comparing her to Jinx in terms of “who was the better sister”. Lets break it down!
Vi’s aggression toward Jinx when Jinx comes to her
There is really nothing to say here. Vi is at her lowest point and Jinx who has caused so much harm is here talking about their dead dad she indirectly killed
Vi Hits Isha
Isha is adorable and tenacious, and her death made me wish I’d never seen this show/deem it the best show ever at the same time, because that scene was so amazingly done. However, Isha also much like jumping Rictus jumps in the middle of a fight between Vi and Jinx and Vi lashes out one time without really realizing AND STOPS IMMEDIATELY.
Vi not trusting Jinx when Vander first arrives
Vander’s first move when he arrives is trying to kill Isha. And despite her conflict with her sister, and not knowing this little girl at all, Vi throws her own body in front of Isha tangling with the monstrous form Vander has been forced into. And after fighting for her life, even with all that Jinx has done, VI PUTS HER LIFE IN HER SISTER’S HANDS AND LOWERS HER GAUNTLETS.
The end of Act 2 is mostly positive between the sisters and we are blessed/cursed to see Vi getting just a brief taste of happiness like it could all work out.
She wants to stay in the commune with Powder and Isha and Vander
We see her trusting and loyal nature in trusting Caitlyn to help them when she is honest
Vi throws her own body over her sisters to protect her from the blast when Isha dies, even while having to process her dads death all over again (or so she things cause the writers hate us)
Season 3 Act 3:
Here we primarily deal with the “Vi was the Jinx” people and the “Vi got Jinx killed” people. The Vi was the jinx thing is all coming from Echo’s little journey to the Alternate Universe. And yes. At the surface level, while the main universe where Vi is alive is rife with tragedy, the alternate universe where she was killed during the heist as a kid is happier and more peaceful. However, it is in no way BECAUSE she is dead. The AU is at peace because hex tech never happened. We could really deep dive this with a murder board list of cause and effect here, but ultimately the only deaths that can actually be laid at Vi’s feet in any credible way, are people killed by Jinx because Vi couldn’t bring herself to end her life. BECAUSE SHE NEVER TRULY STOPS BELIEVING IN HER SISTER.
If you need some proof, the Arcane Afterglow for Season 2 Act 3 addresses Echo’s journey, and the writer (I believe) explains that the purpose of echo seeing this place is to restore his faith in what his world can be. Its nothing to do with learning Vi was the issue the whole time.
I feel like someone could write a college thesis on hex tech and its poisonous impact on the lives of these people. If anything is “The Jinx” it’s the arcane and hex tech. Heimerdinger tells Jayce and Victor this from Day 1. It literally becomes the entire crux of those two men’s story to learn how they were wrong to bring hex tech into the world and have to fix their mistake.
For the rest of the show Vi’s story is straightforward but still clearly shows her character to be loving, loyal and true. She stands up for her sister after all the changes she has seen in her and even tries to break her out jail, with even Jinx noting “You’re really never going to give up on me”
“Vi Got Jinx Killed”- There is more between the attempted jail break and this incident, we could talk about Vi’s bravery during combat and trying to save lives including her sisters when the Vander drone attacks the air balloon. But Vi causing Jinx’s death is the real crux here. First of all, anyone who paid any sort of attention knows Jinx isn’t dead. But that’s not really the point. The point is that here at this final moment, Vi just couldn’t take any more:
She watched her birth parents die
She watched Vander die the first time saving her
She watched him die the second time after they had just got him back
Now has to say goodbye to him again
And here’s the thing folks. This isn’t subtle. We see what she is flashing back to her in her mind. She is watching him die for the first time all over again and its heartbreaking. It really seems like she can’t even hear Jinx she is so lost to her grief in that moment. When Vander attacks her for the last time, buff badass Vi sounds like a frightened child (in the most heartbreaking way not mocking). And Jinx does the noble thing and saves the older sister she knew would never stop loving her. Also, for people saying Vi is “too happy” for Jinx dying. She is literally sitting alone drinking and humming the song Jinx was singing when their parents died. It’s a “Happy ending” in terms of Vi and Cait getting to be together and be alive, but its quite clear they have a boatload of trauma on their shoulders. Vi has not found peace. But because of her sister’s sacrifice, she is finally has a chance.

jinx for character opinion bingo :D
JINX MY BELOVED MY CRAZY GIRL
DOUBLE bingo!
s1 of arcane was a genuine masterpiece and a solid 50-75% of it (at least for me <3) is because of how WELL WRITTEN jinx's character was. the seeds of her more twisted traits in powder, the shift away from that softness we saw when she was younger as she grows into jinx, her complex relationships with vi and silco and her own identity driving the conflict on a personal level AND a political level, the way the writers make you care more about whether the sisters will be a family again than whether there's going to be a war or whatever. there's so so so so much good and jinx is right in the middle of all of it and I'm obsessed with her. I think she should have killed more people. I think she should have been covered in blood and laughing hysterically because she was having so much fun finally being better than everyone at something
powder wanting to prove herself to vi but ending up killing their entire family, jinx wanting to prove herself to silco so she ends up with caitlyn and the council on her case, the sense of fate around the hextech gemstone ALWAYS coming back to jinx like FOUR times as if magic is ALIVE and MAD at piltover for banishing it and then using it for their own gain (magic's favourite is jinx aka powder, as in gunpowder, as in the spark that ignites a revolution). as if jinx is piltover's karma. as if she IS a jinx but one meant for PILTOVER and that's why she needed to lose so much so that they could finally get what was coming to them. as if both cities are approaching this inevitable end point where jinx has changed too much to still be powder like vi wants her to be and the undercity has changed too much to still be under piltover's boot like they want it to be and the stronger of the two will never accept that without a major push so jinx has to use the sisters conflict to kick-start the zaun/piltover conflict (or vice versa???) because she feels like she can never be independent or keep anything for herself as long as things keep going the way they used to be when vi treated her like a child (because she was but she's not anymore and she can take responsibility for her own actions) just like the undercity can never keep anything for itself because the social order and the lack of independence from piltover necessitates that they stay down in the dirt where they belong so that piltover can hoard all the wealth and safety and security and opportunity and progress to itself. it's. GOD the characters and themes and relationships and politics and how they're all woven together and how every road seems to lead back to jinx it's SO GOOD I'm OBSESSED with her
s2 jinx literally isn't jinx past MAYBE act 1. she randomly turns into a quippy mcu character with heroic qualities and all her explosive flaws washed off like give them BACK that's why I LIKED HER!!!! I DIDN'T COME TO THE WOMEN'S WRONGS SHOW TO WATCH JINX MAKE NORMAL PERSON DECISIONS. jinx isn't the only one who suffered (vi is so bad oh my god she's barely a character in s2 much less the SAME character it's actually INSULTING to the audience's intelligence) but the rest of that disaster of a season isn't canon to me. like at all. season 1's plot was built around character choices that made it all feel incredibly natural and believable because there's no other decision they WOULD make other than the ones they ultimately did, and if season 2 was allowed to do that too then jinx would have burned piltover to the fucking ground and I would have had the time of my life. but nothing that should have happened happened so I am staying in my corner with s1 and I'm ignoring all of you. this is the polarising opinion that's akin to hitting a wasp's nest with a baseball bat btw
send me a character! (ask game)

Arcane’s A+ Parenting Week - Secrets
Ah, Vander, my beloved, he really is the king of secrets, isn't he?
Okay, Vander actually probably doesn't have that many secrets, but I think his story shows how his secrets negatively affect his children.
Vander has a secret deal with Piltover. The deal is that he prevents people (however he does that ...?) from committing crimes in Piltover. However, Vi does not know this. Now he did tell her that "the Northside is off-limits" but it seems that Vi does not understand Vi (and I don't think it's entirely clear that it's off-limits to *everybody*, not just her because they are too young ("we could handle a real job")).
Either way, because of this Vi takes her siblings to a heist topside, causing the inciting incidents and endangering Vander's deal.
When Vi later does find out about the deal from Ekko she is upset, but not so upset that it would seriously endanger Vander's relationship with her, she is still willing to listen to him and his reasons.
Now generally I don't think that it is that unreasonable for a parent to not share everything with a child if they deem them to young. However, I feel if he didn't want to let Vi in on what is really going on and why staying away from topside is that important, then IMO he needed to have a closer eye on them to ensure that they are following his rules if he is not willing to give them a good reason.
To me, this is the other situation where I think he should have told Vi more about what was going on. IMO if he had warned here that there is an enemy from his past targetting him specifically, maybe she would have been more careful coming after him.
I don't think he needed to tell her the whole story (again presuming that he even guessed that it was Silco), but even just telling her about a concrete enemy and maybe even describing them might have helped.
Vander is a man who tries to hide his past. And imo that is a very relatable emotion. Particularly if it seems like he really has things to be ashamed of. I still think in this case, him keeping many things to himself, not giving Vi the necessary information to assess the situation bit him in the ass badly.
Now, if Vander's problem is that he doesn't share enough information with Vi about his past and about how he is running his operation, Silco arguably is the extreme in the opposite direction.
It seems that he is candid to her about his past crimes, he uses her as part of his operation, he lets her listen in on his business meetings and he even discusses his plans, strategy and priorities with her.
We didn't really really get to a point where we see that bit him in the ass specifically, but still, I tend to think that that isn't the healthiest parental behavior either.
(that said, it should be noted that Jinx in Act 2 is older than Vi in Act 1, so that makes it a bit more reasonable that Vander didn't include Vi as much in his operations)
Another character who finds themselves in a similar situation is Heimerdinger.
I feeI like Heimer is usually pretty clear on what he wants his "kids" to do (ie research more/longer before moving to real world application, stop the research, destroy the hexcore). But just like Vander he is pretty bad at explaining to them why they should do the things he wants them to do.
(just with Heimer we don't know if he is hiding something or whether he is just bad at "human")
The last one in our category is Singed. I think we can pretty much assume Singed has a lot of secret he's keeping. However, none of his secrets have really been revealed yet (pretty sure that is coming in season 2), so it's kind of hard to "rate" him in that regard ;)

Hey Clown, I've got an idea!
So, instead of Powder going with Silco at the end of act 1, she just books it away from everyone, like she just runs till her feet have blisters, she can hardly breath and her legs give out. Powder basically ran all the way to the outskirts of Zaun and she passes tfuck out as you do.
Powder wakes up to be in this small camp that seems to be something of magic and nursed back to health, and guess who helped her out. Bard on request from Janna (Another divine intervention au, my beloved)
I was reading up on Bard lore and saw that he saves people not because they are in danger but because they are important to the world in some way and Powder’s destiny is to free Zaun and Bard being a god that focuses on the bigger picture would definitely save Powder.
Bard being a god with a bigger picture approach doesn't want to baby Powder, so instead to make sure she survives to fulfil her disterny,(Bard is the definition of divine intervention, saves your ass and you blink and he's gone) he gives her some stuff to help her survive out in the wilds (not to sure what he give her, but its stuff you need for these things)
So Powder with her destiny set and no Silco to fuck her up in the head more than she already was, sets out into the wild with a few godly presents keeping a keen eye on her
I'm not sure where Powder’s mental state would be in this due to not having Silco be around her and the state of Zaun being part of her day to day life.
In this au I also want her to somehow be friends with Fiddlesticks, like Janna is like “Powder is a very small child, and I can't really help her too much on her journey coz i dont have much worship, but I could give her a companion that will keep her safe” Looks at the fear demon eating people in Demacia’s countryside “Ah yes. The perfect companion” And Janna just scopes them up and basically threatens them to keep Powder safe or she’ll yeet him into a maze game with Zoe.
So we have this tiny traumatised child that has the gods looking out for her and her best friend, a terrifying unholy fear demon that kills without remorse as our focus.
The thing is, Fiddlesticks actually somehow cares for Powder and is very soft for her, (best Dad Fiddlesticks)
This is also very funny considering that Powder has to go back to Zaun and split the two cities and this 5 foot 3 blue haired teen just rolls up back in Zaun after everyone thinks shes dead with a fucking demon and his murder of crows as her companions, with saying, “Janna sent me here to kick piltover’s ass and get us indpendanse, dont get in my way!” and Fiddlesticks is just leaning over her giving everyone who opposes her a death glare.
Whatcha think?
I like Fiddle getting more love, reminds me I still have to work on that Jinx/Fiddle Soulmates/Reincarnation Fic...
It's a bit hard to fit Fiddle into the role of protector or being soft with anyone just based on how he's written (though canon lore has never stopped me from getting what I want). Though I could see a way of making it working being Bard giving Powder the missing Key that was stolen by Zoe.
She'd have no idea why he gave her this key or what to do with it, Bard just dumps her in the Demacian countryside with an "lol, good luck." He wouldn't care to explain because he already knows she'll be fine, so Janna steps in (in a huge huff about his poor care).
Janna could be the one to give her cryptic messages of what to do with the key. Like "Don't let fear consume you, let the key guide you to where it's meant to be."
Something could happen when Powder puts the key where it should be (maybe connected to the cage?), but it would be after fighting a whole bunch of trauma inducing 'fun' from Fiddle. They wouldn't be going all out for the simple fact she has the key and Fiddle wants it.
Does make me curious as to what Zaun Fiddle would look like, I assume more mechanical like his Praetorian skin? Their main body is made up of whatever garbage they find lying around.
Would actually laugh if they end up killing Silco and Powder just steals his jacket to give to Fiddle, like "Look Fiddle, a new coat!" as Silco bleeds out.
No idea how the fic would progress tho, but it's a fun idea!

1 how old would you say silco probably is in either act
2 can i rant to you about something i've seen 2 people do when writing viktor which is to say that lung issues "don't affect cognition" and i very very very much very very very very much disagree
Anon my beloved I am *violently* dyscalculaic there is no one less suited to give you numbers guesses than me. He's DILF age idk man I have nothing.
I... That's. All health issues affect cognition. Stress affects cognition. Pain affects cognition. Of course it affects cognition?? What would you even be trying to prove to claim that. Literally everything that affects your body affects your brain we are an interconnected system of parts.

Piltover’s Finest
Hey everyone! E here with a new story idea because I love writing and I have long accepted my fate of just being random with my story ideas. Arcane was such an amazing show it's hard to believe it came out of the League of Legends...anything. (great game, eh community. Try wildrift for less toxicity or just play with bots on lol. Not perfect but significantly less toxic. Also there's a card game called legends of runeterra that's pretty fun). So I decided to write about Vi and Caitlyn cuz I love their dynamic and ship.
So right now it is a oneshot but I'm also leaving it open in case i ever want to come back. Possible spoiler warnings as I am drawing from both Arcane and regular canon and kinda fusing it together. So heads up? I mean it's possible it'll never happen but I wanna cover my bases.
Okay that's it for me! Stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands, get vaccinated and boosted if you can for the love of living, keep yourself and loved ones safe, spin around in a circle with a broom yelling "Six feet!" and push for worldwide vaccination cuz i'm really freaking tired of all this shit. Feel free to leave likes, comments, recommend this to your friends, reblogs. Honestly I love and appreciate all that and I'm just happy you wanted to read my work. Means a lot to me so thank you. Have a great week and I'll see you soon. E is out peace!
So check out this story over on the way more friendly Ao3 right here

Fan of Arcane? Hey look another story I did right over there

and the rest of my work if you’re interested or bored.

and now we’re here at the keep reading sign. For those of you disembarking at this stop, have a nice day.
I should not post these late at night haha.
Summary: When you see a legend, a true champion, it seems impossible to fathom how one holds such a prodigious title. Their trials, their tribulations and everything in between. But even the most legendary start on their path somewhere. Even if it's at the bottom. Arcane season 1 spoilers (also maybe possible later season spoilers)
-----
Have you ever been in a place that just felt wrong? A place so starkly different from anything you’ve ever known you can’t help but feel like you shouldn’t be here. That your mere presence upsets everything around you.
That’s how Vi felt standing in the posh, clean streets of Piltover.
It’d been weeks since Pow….Jinx, she was Jinx now, attacked the Piltover Council in a brazen display of power. Though the act was her final goodbye to that psychopath Silco, she didn’t claim the attack for Zaun. She didn’t even tell anyone she was the one behind it: Jinx simply blew up a building and vanished into thin air.
Most of the council managed to survive the initial blast due to some miraculous early warning but a few still remained in critical condition.
Vi couldn’t remember the last few weeks if she was going to be honest. She wandered the streets of this foreign land, desperate to prevent grief and guilt from consuming her. Her only purpose in life had been to find Powder and put Silco six feet in the ground. Now both were gone and she’d been left with nothing.
Part of her wanted to return to The Lanes in a childish hope that she would find purpose there. Something, anything to keep going.
She knew better though: Her beloved Lanes died when Vander did and returning would not change the fact that only Zaun, Silco’s legacy, remained in its stead. Not to mention the shimmer that ran rampant in the streets and the chembarons who still held tight control over the city. Going back there with nothing more but the clothes on her back would never end well for her.
Piltover, however, wasn’t much of a better choice: Everything was too polished, too clean and just wrong. While having air that didn’t burn your throat with poisonous toxins and actual sunlight was nice, Pilties were uncomfortable with the idea of a undercity thug wandering their streets freely. Vi noticed the hushed whispers and sideways glances she got whenever she walked on the street. While The Lanes had the odd Enforcer patrol here and there, here in the “City of Progress” they were everywhere. On every other street corner, walking in pairs down alleyways and on the rooftops. Maybe it was the recent tension between the two cities but Vi found it awfully convenient that there was always one nearby whenever she did anything.
“Would you stop!?” Vi shouted angrily as she turned around, startling the enforcer that not so subtly been tailing her.
The enforcer flinched, dropping their gun to the floor in surprise. They scrambled to pick up their fallen weapon and hide their panic.
Vi scoffed “Greenie aren’t we?”
“No!” The enforcers voice cracked.
Vi rose an eyebrow, unimpressed.
“I mean…” The enforcer cleared their throat “I’m not following you.”
“Yes you are.”
“I am not...ma’am.”
“You’ve been trailing me since I left the alley.” Vi rolled her eyes, unable to hide her annoyance “About three blocks ago. You like to scrape the floor with your left foot.”
The enforcer paled “I…”
“Leave me alone.” Vi muttered quietly “I’m not really up for this shit right now.”
The enforcer paused for a moment, weighing their options. Evidently they decided it was best to listen to her because they gave a short nod and turned around, quickly making their way as far away from her as possible.
Vi sighed, blowing a strain of pink hair out of her face.
“Maybe Bilgewater is nice this time of year.” she whispered under her breath “Booze, guns and piracy. It’ll be like I’m a kid again.”
“I wouldn’t recommend that.” A familiar refined voice said softy “I rather like you as an adult.”
Vi felt her cheeks warm as Caitlyn stood next to her, a cheeky smile dancing on her lips.
“Whoa cupcake when did you get here?” Vi backed up.
“About three seconds ago.” Caitlyn replied simply “When you decided to lightly threaten an enforcer.”
“Suggested.” Vi countered impishly “Threatening an enforcer is a crime after all.”
Caitlyn shook her head in disbelief “Of course. So suggesting is what we’re calling it?”
“It is what it is cupcake.”
“Right.” Caitlyn crossing her arms with finality “Well since we’re suggesting things.”
Vi narrowed her eyes suspiciously “I don’t like where this is going.”
Caitlyn chuckled playfully “I doubt you would but the fact remains you cannot be running around in the streets Vi.”
“Oh no.”
“Oh yes.” Caitlyn said, a hint of a threat in her voice “Come back to my home. I have more than enough space to accommodate you.”
Vi raised a hand to stop her “Sorry, hard pass cupcake. I didn’t come up here to be a pet.”
Caitlyn let out a cute frustrated noise that made Vi’s heart skip a beat “I will not allow you to wallow in self pity!”
“I’m not wallowing in anything princess.” Vi growled “I’m casing joints so I can rob them later. You know like the big bad undercity bitch I am.”
“Vi!”
Vi rolled her eyes sarcastically “What? It’s the truth, isn’t it? I failed as a sister, I failed to be a hero and I sure as fuck failed to stop your mom from being blown up!”
Vi turned away, realizing she had taken it a step too far. How could she be so stupid? Really Violet you were going to bring up how her mother was nearly killed by your sister. Why don’t you spit in her face and kick her while she’s down? Oh wait you already did that!
Vi’s heartbeat thundered loudly in her ears as she felt the warm embrace of Caitlyn’s arms wrapping around her tightly.
They stayed like that for a moment, an understanding in the pain they both shared.
“You need to stop.” Caitlyn whispered gently in her ear “Blaming yourself for what happened won’t fix anything.”
Vi remained silent, shame eating at her resolve.
“My mother will recover thankfully.” Caitlyn continued “And I know how important your sister was to you. I don’t blame you for what happened but you can’t hold onto the guilt Vi.”
Vi took a shaky breath.
“It wasn’t your fault.”
“It was.” Vi said, turning to face Caitlyn “If I just accepted what everyone had been saying.” her voice grew louder, more desperate and laced with pain “If I just accepted that she wasn’t Powder anymore, that she wasn’t my sister anymore I could’ve stopped her! I could’ve stopped all this! I could’ve…!”
Vi’s eyes widen as Caitlyn gently placed a finger on her lips.
“You talk too much Vi.” she teased before cupping the pink hair girl’s cheek “You are a product of the schism between our cities, not the cause.”
Vi could feel the tears forming. She closed her eyes to stop them.
“Vi.” Caitlyn’s sweet voice echoed in the darkness “She is still your sister. Not the one you knew but family all the same. And we must stop her.”
Stop Jinx? Could she even do that? Could she bring herself to raise her fists against her own flesh and blood? Vi still had nightmares about that faithful night, the regrets that haunted her in that lonely cell for all those years.
“Vi.”
Vi slowly opened her eyes, stormy gray meeting sapphire blue.
“We need to stop her.” Caitlyn spoke with an authoritative firmness “Only you and I can bring her in safely.”
“You’d do that?” Vi asked, unable to keep the awe out of her voice “For me?”
“For you.” Caitlyn’s eyes widen as she took a step away and breaking their embrace “F-for Piltover!” she quickly added, brushing nonexistence dirt off her skirt “The others won’t care she is a broken girl destroyed by our war. We cannot allow this senseless circle of violence but we also can’t let her cause untold mayhem and panic.”
Vi chuckled. She stretched her arms as she tried to discreetly wipe the tears away.
“Okay cupcake.” Vi gave a cocky grin “You’re the enforcer thug. Where do we start?”
You could hear a pin drop in the silence that followed.
Vi tilted her head curiously “Cupcake?”
Caitlyn gave a strained smile as she nervously played with a strain of her hair.
Vi gave her a deadpan stare.
“Well…” Caitlyn said slowly “I’m...not...actually an enforcer anymore.”
“I’m sorry what? Excuse me?”
Caitlyn gave Vi a pointed finger “Let me explain.”
“What do you mean you’re not an enforcer anymore?!”
“I was fired.” Caitlyn admitted “After the bombing.”
By Jinx went unsaid for which Vi was grateful for.
“My parents talked to Marcus and convinced him to get me off the force for my safety.”
“Wow.” Vi clicked her tongue disappointingly “That sucks and blows. Wait, how did you get me out of Stillwater then? You said it was for a case.”
Caitlyn cutely twiddled her thumbs “I sort of….lied.’
Vi couldn’t tell which she was more: surprised or impressed.
“You? Lied?” Vi asked, disbelieving.
“Only because I knew I can solve the case!” Caitlyn added quickly, with a hint of pride Vi noticed.
Vi stuck up her nose as she took on a mocking posh tone “That isn’t very elegant for a refined lady such as yourself.”
Caitlyn playfully shoved Vi “Oh shut it.”
“But now I gotta know. How did you get me out?”
“Forged Jayce’s handwriting on some council documents.” she answered casually as if discussing the weather.
“Forgery and Fraud.” VI whistled appreciatively while giving her a cheeky wink “You know what I like.”
Caitlyn could feel her cheeks burn “Don’t you start.”
Vi gave a good nature laugh but dropped the subject “Okay cupcake so what now?”
“We need to get back on the force.”
“We?”
“We” Caitlyn confirmed as if it was the most obvious thing in the world “Otherwise we leave your sister’s fate up to chance.”
“Okay.” Vi nodded in a daze “Me, an enforcer? I died and I’m in hell.”
Caitlyn nudged her “The only way for us to make a difference is in the system.”
“Not when the system is corrupted” Vi countered.
Caitlyn scratched her chin thoughtfully “True. There’s telling how deep this runs and we have no idea who else was in on Marcus’s machinations.”
“Oooo machinations? I love it when you talk dirty to me.”
“Vi!” Caitlyn shrieked, unable to keep the blush off her face anymore “I’m serious.”
Vi raised her hands in surrender “I’m done, I’m done. So we burn down the system and make a better one. Easier said cupcake. Where do we start?”
“Jayce.”
“Pretty boy?”
“I know you have your reservations about him but he is a good man. Misguided and utterly vain but a good man.”
Vi rolled her eyes “If you say so.”
Caitlyn turned to face her face set in a grim determination “Do you trust me?”
Vi thought back to their adventures: Caitlyn saving her from her ill advised fight with Sevika, trading her only defense in the harsh undercity to heal her, offering her home as safehouse after the disastrous incident on the bridge and now giving her new purpose in life.
Did she trust Caitlyn?
“With my life.” Vi answered honestly, allowing some vulnerability to slip through.
The smile Caitlyn gave her was more lovely the fresh air and the sun. Combined.
“Well then.” She slipped her arm in Vi’s “We’re on the case!”
Vi couldn’t help but smile in return as the pair made their way toward Jayce’s workshop “Piltover’s Finest!”
“We are not calling ourselves that.”
“I dunno, I kinda like it.”
And Vi meant it.
