I really love the disability representation and trans representation that's in dr who lately. I hope someday it reaches the same level of positive well meaning representation for mental illness and fat people too

#across the board in all media tbh. im sure if there was a wider mainstream level of awareness of these issues that rtd would try his best #its really just like. all these internal biases that people dont even think to question. that people dont even notice theyre thinking at all #absolutely not a condemnation of the show. near everyone still holds these biases unquestioningly #im just. imagining a world where theres a plus size nuwho doctor and no one bats an eye about it #imagining a world where it isnt a common trope for insanity to be cited as The Reason Why someone is evil #imagining more things dr who could eventually be at the forefront of having rep for in big mainstream #shows #im like. hopeful about it. looking forward to it even #im just like 'ah man its a shame these writers arent aware of their biases in these areas'
