All the items you'll need to recreate The Able Sisters cute little shop in your TS4 game. All items came with only 1 swatch each. There are a few items that I added a couple of extra swatches for.

As always, turning the brightness down on functional lamps will make them look better (not overly bright) due to my vertex paint issue in Blender.

Type “ACNH Able” into the search query in build mode to find  quickly. You can always find items like this, just begin typing the title and it will appear.

Use the raise & lower keyboard cheat to put your already styled mannequins onto the displays. The displays have slots, but mannequins will only let you place them on the floor, and won't allow styling once they have been raised, so make sure to do that first. They only need to be raised 1-2 notches depending on which display you are placing them on.

Use the scale up & down feature on your keyboard to make the items larger or smaller to your liking. If you have a non-US keyboard, it may be different keys depending on which alphabet it uses.

So here's a somewhat badly looped gif of the wobbly message panel in ACNH...

...and here's the actual texture that it seems to use, with a checkerboard added by me for readability.

What intrigues me is how the in-game version has a fairly sharp edge while the texture is blurry.

I suspect shader magic involving the alpha channel might be at play in making it wobble.

Any thoughts?

Happy 1 year anniversary of genloss!! I'm participating in this event, and today's prompt was cabin!

So, I made the genloss cabin from episode one into animal crossing! This is like my favorite thing I've ever done, so here I shall put it. It took me a good couple of months. If you decide to visit, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!! I say that later too, but fr, it would mean the world to me that you people on the internet saw it and liked it!! If you want to go explore the island feel free as well!

Under the cut will be pictures of the house, but I will put a list of each room above for you all to see, especially if you dont have a switch or acnh. I would like though, if you visit, that you don't spoil yourself and that you see THE BACK ROOM LAST! The house the villager is under is Charlie (Oooh shocker), which is to the right of Resident Services! If you visit, please listen to the songs that actually play in the rooms and go first person, its such a silly experience.

i could finally relax a bit today and i spent so long playing acnh :') i dipped my toes into downloading custom patterns bc i want to make a gyroid hangout spot in a tucked away corner of the island! BUT my patience with making the pixel art myself only goes so far and i did NOT have the energy or inspiration to make my own custom paths. i did make a cool space pattern to use on those panel thingies tho :3 anyway here's a wip pic

i'm not very good at decorating the outdoor part in acnh (i like the interior decorating a LOT more) so it's not exactly amazing but i'm TRYING MY BEST

yeah streamers au!!!!! :D i'm thinking all of them also upload their own videos on youtube too, but some originated as streamers and some as youtubers (more streamer au hcs under!!)

like i said in the other post, i think zelda would be analogous to someone like pokimane or valkyrae, and does variety/just talking streams. i don't think she would take advantage of or even be aware of her simps/e-girlism, she's actually very sweet and a just bit naive :'>. she probably already collaborates a lot with urbosa, and has on done a video or two with mipha. i would say she probably started off streaming first and then eventually starting doing youtube to post her vods, then make her own videos

mipha would kinda be like the qtcinderella and urbosa would be like. corpsehusband lowk ☝️😳 mipha does a lot of cutesy stuff like acnh and stardew valley playthroughs, maybe cooking & baking videos, and also like lifestyle videos like GRWM or 'day in the life' vlogs. her first video was a first aid video because she wanted to be a pediatrician when she was younger 🥺 urbosa started off as a youtuber and is one of those like old legendary youtubers who's still around so she's seen the rise and fall of the internet fr. she's very wise and she's zelda's favorite youtuber growing up, role model, and mentor 🥺 mipha probably also watched some of urbosa's videos growing up and cites urbosa as one of her inspirations when she started her own youtube channel :)

revali absolutely started off as a streamer but he excels as a youtuber, as expected. he does a lot of speedrun or challenge streams/videos of video games and i lowkey think that he has beaten quite a few speedrun records, only bested by link who he has an ongoing rivalry with because they keep beating each other's records. revali mostly does stream highlight videos, but every once in a while he'll do a fun little collab video with someone else or on the rare occasion, a vlog or a grwm 😧 someone asked him how he keeps his hair so nice on stream and he was so proud he ended up making a whole video about his haircare routine, what products he uses, etc HAHAHA

link is definitely the type of guy who made dumb little videos as a kid but eventually evolved into a full-fledged content creator with high quality videos and excellent ideas. he definitely does a lot of nintendo game videos (people adore his acnh playthrough series and his collabs with mipha 🥺), but i think he would also upload a lot of like. scenic videos of places he's traveled to or hiked at because he's pretty good at filming and editing. link def found his love for streaming and speedrunning on accident by, get this— watching one of revali's streams 😳😳😳 but he forgets that it was by revali 😭 link is like, This looks fun I want to try, so he does and is actually really good at it. so he ends up streaming the same exact games that revali did and beating his records, and revali would get pissed that his records were getting broken, and thus the rivalry was born!

what daruk does as a streamer or youtube still escapes me though like i just don't know what he would do. i can't even see him streaming KDJHFKJD like what would he do? maybe make reviews videos about old gaming systems, retro games, or reviews on his favorite restaurants or something LOL feel free to offer any ideas for him bc i'm lost lowkey

my brain is stewing with ideas for growing sexual tension between streamers revalink...... imagine them slowly starting to do collab streams together........ collab videos........ the champions going to twitchcon and doing a panel...... revalink meeting irl right before twitchcon because champion meetup and not knowing what to say because wow they're even more attractive irl....... revalink sexual tension in the airbnb all the champions are staying at because link got out of the shower with only a towel wrapped around his waist because he forgot his clothes and revali's eyes bulging out of his head 😭 UGH I THINK I MIGHT WRITE THIS AS AN ACTUAL AU HAHAHAHA

Restarted my island in ACNH earlier this month.

I had ideas of zones here and there and wrote them on paper. Example : a laundry area, a communal garden, farmer market, a collective kitchen, apple orchards, honey/candle shop, a forest / lumberjack area, pottery, a dump / recycle center, cafés/ tea shops, parks, terraces, etc.

At first, I didn't have a specific theme in mind although I've thought of a farmcore island, while still letting myself getting inspired by the DYI recipes and items I would found, but then I found villagers like Megan, Kyle, Blanche, Bunnie, and Rolf.

And today, I think I have finally find the common thread that would link everything together when I saw the wind turbine and the solar panel items : a solarpunk-themed island. Combining nature, community living and modern civilization amenities with a sustainable touch.

That theme seems uncommon among the ACNH youtubers as I have only found examples coming from one single island that was documented (Solaris by Moss Crossing on YT), but I admit I haven't dig that much yet. It is also possible that since the solarpunk movement is not that well known to begin with so people might not realized some of their idea falls into it. So I'll have to look into broader themes islands for inspirations and adapt or tweak.

So, yeah, this feels like a fun challenge.

my fav fruits are strawberries and watermelons! it's the season for both soon and i'm vibrating already. though tbh there's not a single fruit out there that i dislike.

my ACNH game time count was something around 800+ hours last time i checked. at times i would hear the game music even with my Switch off when i tried to sleep at night.

i always had trouble thinking about which character i kin, then i met Sakusa Kiyoomi and my life felt complete. when he had to hold the sticky child hand in one panel (with pure disgust) i felt it so deep in my soul it made me wince lmao

LAMPS: My note for now on all lamps is that they need the brightness turned down in game for them to look normal. I have an issue in Blender with the vertex paintbrush just not working, it paints/refuses to paint wherever it wants no matter what I try. It's something I'm always looking for the answer to, and any other creator who likes any of the lamps is welcome to add vertex paint to them. I would update the file and add a credit to said creator.  BEDS: Most beds are made with the cot as the base (or other very simple bed object), it's difficult to find something to "work" with the ACNH mesh. I haven't yet 100% hashed out how to make them *perfectly* functional in TS4, but the sims will sleep on top of them.

Did a bit of research into how ACNH villager houses work, on the... like, physical level.

There's separate models for floors and ceilings of various sizes, but importantly they do not include any walls. Which to be honest would be nearly impossible anyway because there are many room sizes and each of them may or may not have doorways or windows in any direction. It'd be too many damn room models.

So there's floors and ceilings for different room sizes, but also individual wall panels, each apparently two tiles wide, plus wall segments with windows in and such.

Which makes a lot of sense I guess.

Edit: wall panels are two tiles wide because all rooms are a multiple of two tiles in either direction — 4, 6, 8, or 10. No odd values, so only half the wall segments are needed per wall. I figure perhaps the floors and ceilings are separate models because even though you'd need twenty wall segments for a 10x10 room (that's ten tiles a side, so five wall segments, times four sides), at that same scale you'd need fifty quads to cover the floor and ceiling, while this only takes twenty-two individual parts for a bare room at max size.
