Levi comes up beside you, hand sliding over your waist to rest on your hip and hold you close.
"I don't know how to approach this so I'm going to break it down." there’s a hint of apprehension in his voice.
"Uhh, okay?" you're confused and look up at him to give him a look.
"You know I respect you right? and that I know you're not an object?" he waits for your answer.
A huffed laugh leaves you, "Yes? why, where are you going with this?'
"So thats been established. I don't see you as an object to possess or own?” another pause for your acknowledgment. " I just want to make that clear because I don't want to say anything that's gonna make you think that I own you or-
"Levi, what are you talking about?'
"There's a guy over there," he nods his chin in the direction of said man. "Who has been staring at you all night and I really don't like it and I wanted to talk to you about it but I didn't want you thinking I was being possessive. I just don't like the way he is looking at you, like he wants to own you or something but you belong to - wait never-mind, I just don't like it."
"Levi?"
"Yes, love?"
"Do you belong to me?"
He pauses for a moment to really think about how to answer you. "Yes, I think I belong to you."
"And do you think I belong to you?'
"Well, I like to, I hope you do."
"Then I do."
"But you know its not in a toxic way, I'm not being controlling.”
"Yes, baby I know, but for all intents and purposes, you belong to me and I belong to you.”

Levi sat in the waiting room, cradling your tiny baby girl as if she were made of glass. For the first time ever Levi looked completely defenseless as he watched her tiny hands reach for his shirt, her small form bundled snugly in a soft blanket.
You couldn't help but smile at the sight. "Levi, she's going to be okay," you assured him, placing a hand on his arm.
He huffed softly, his eyes never leaving your daughter's face. "I know that," he replied, though the slight hesitancy in his voice betrayed him. "It's just a shot."
"Exactly," you chuckled. "Just a shot."
He'd faced down Titans, survived countless battles, but nothing—absolutely nothing—terrified him more than the thought of his little girl in pain, even for something as routine as a vaccination shot.
"She's going to be fine, it's just a quick shot, and we're done."
Just when he was about to answer, the nurse appeared in the doorway with a clipboard in hand. "We're ready for you now."
The nurse led the way into the examination room, which he immediately glanced around the room.
"When was this room last sanitized?" he asked the nurse.
"Just this morning, sir," she replied, "We maintain strict hygiene protocols."
As the nurse prepared the syringe, Levi's hand tightened just a little. "Will it hurt her much?" he asked.
"Just a little pinch, she'll be just fine." The nurse assured him.
You rested a hand on Levi's back. "Do you want me to hold her?"
He shook his head. "No, I've got her." he sat down, keeping your daughter. The nurse cleaned your daughter's tiny arm, Levi leaned down, his voice soft—a tone you'd never heard from him before. "It's alright, sweetheart."
A quick pinch, a brief moment of surprise, and then a small wail erupted from her lips.Levi winced, his heart visibly breaking at the sound. He began to rock her gently, "Shh, it's okay. You're so brave."
Her cries faded to quiet hiccups as she burrowed into his chest, tiny fingers clutching his shirt.
"You did great," you whispered, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"She's the one who was brave," he whispered, wiping the tears off her cheeks.
The nurse smiled as she made her notes. "She's a tough little one. Must take after her parents."
Levi stood carefully, "Thank you," he said, still rocking your baby.
Walking out of the clinic, you could see the tension finally leaving his shoulders. "Maybe next time, it won't be so hard," he mused.
"For her or for you?" You teased elbowing him in his arm, and he shot you an unimpressed look. But to you it was almost funny— Levi Ackerman had been completely and utterly conquered by a tiny girl who couldn't even hold her own head up yet.

NSFW AoT boys x reader and how they would respond to trying “No Nut November”
no nut november
ft: eren, connie, levi, jean, erwin, porco, zeke, armin
cw: smut ? but it’s pretty tame- not really descriptive
18+ MDNI NSFW
eren thinks no nut november is stupid and a made up thing meant to make virgins feel better about themselves. he doesn’t care about participating it in it. especially when he has you. eren doesn’t make it past the first day of november without tearing your clothes off and finishing inside of you.
connie’s pretty into no not november- mainly because of destroy dick december. despite being a yearly player, he never makes it through the month successfully. what fails him this year is you in a pair of black leggings- he can’t help it. he begs you to let him fuck you and you give in, november claiming yet another loser.
when you brought the idea up to levi, he scoffed. he thinks it’s the most ridiculous thing in the world and he won’t be partaking. he’s going to fuck you whenever and wherever if you’ll let him. he cuts the conversation short by pulling you onto his lap, mumbling something like “i’d fail over and over when it comes to you” into your ear.
jean insists that no nut november is easy, that you just have to have control. and he claims he does. he does pretty good for the first week, you’ll give him that. determined to make him fail, you start sleeping in just a small shirt and underwear. jean cant stand your teasing anymore and decides to fuck you raw after a particularly tough day, november claiming another victim.
erwin takes it a little too seriously. he’s never heard of it until you brought it up to him the other day. interested, he decides to partake in it. and he fucking exceeds, much to your dismay. but as soon as december strikes, he doesn’t waste a minute more. he rams into you for hours with an ungodly amount of stamina for someone who was just practicing abstinence.
zeke thinks it’s a fun idea, as long as you join him in it. thinking it’ll be easy, you agree. turns out you both spend the entirety of november teasing the fuck out of each other, each being too stubborn to lose. zeke makes it a week before he’s quite literally on his knees begging you to get him off.
armin would like to try it. he doesn’t make you participate. he just does it to see how strong-willed he is. but that doesn’t stop him from getting you off. not being able to cum means not being able to fuck you, and he can’t stand it. so he eats you and fingers you daily, making sure you’re getting off. he can’t keep his hands to himself.
porco’s too confident in his ability to make it through the month. it’s all fun and games until he wakes up in the middle of the night with a throbbing boner. not thinking, he gently wakes you up and you two wind up having sex. it’s not until you’re cuddling after does he realize that he’s just lost.
reiner says fuck that. he won’t be participating. he hates the idea so much. you’re his girlfriend and if he wants to fuck you, he will. just for the hell of it, he pushes you up against a wall everyday, slamming you full of his cum. if this is no nut november, you’d hate to see destroy dick december. or love it.
bertholdt wants to partake in it for the ‘nostalgia’ of it all. but ultimately, he caves in because the desire for you is too great. you make him fail by wearing a low cut shirt and nonchalantly bending over to grab something, revealing too much cleavage. you wind up on your knees with his fingers in your hair.
please check out my jean fic 🤍

All that's left.
“I know you’re there.”
Levi's voice cut through the stillness, startling you. You’d been watching him from the side of the wreckage, watching as the ghosts of your comrades appeared for one last time, one last salute. One last declaration of all they dedicated. One last goodbye. They had met your gaze too, shooting a small sad smile and you knew what it meant.
You two were all that's left. The last one's standing.
You stayed out of his sight even after they disappeared, giving him the privacy to mourn. God knows he needed it. You didn’t think he had noticed your presence, but then again, who were you trying to fool? His extraordinary instincts were never to be underestimated.
With a sigh, you pushed yourself to stand straight and stumbled forward, trying not to put too much weight on the ankle you had injured. He glanced at you out of the corner of his eyes. Ever resilient, ever strong, the cracks were so slight, just barely there. But you knew. You could always tell.
“Hi.” You mumbled. He stared at you as you dragged yourself in front of him.
“Nice of you to make it out alive.” He said.
“Who would’ve thought?” You shrugged.
“You made an ugly titan by the way.”
“I’m sure you would’ve looked charming.”
“Bet.”
A small smile tugged at your lips. The conversation was so unbelievably normal, it was surreal. Like nothing ever happened. Here, amid the ruins of everything, all the corpses, smoke, blood and destruction—here you were, back to how it always was. Almost as if, if you concentrated hard enough, all of it would go away and you’d find you and him back in the soggy cafeteria of the scout headquarters, back to bantering with him and arguing about silly little things that don't really deserve arguments but it’s you and Levi so of course it’d end up an argument.
You felt so old suddenly.
How come you ended up here? In this way?
And Levi looked so tired, you could cry. Hasn’t he given enough? Doesn’t he get to rest now?
“Does that..” You glanced down at his leg, the one he had spread out in front of him. It was clear it was beyond repair. The fabric of his pants were torn at the knee, from where it was crushed between the titan’s jaw, a bloody, mangled mess. “Does that hurt?”
“Not really, no.” His eyes followed your gaze. “Numbed a while ago. Can’t feel shit really.”
You sighed. "Not very humanity's strongest anymore, huh?"
Levi raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?" He said. "Careful, I could still kick your ass."
"I'm sure."
You grinned. Then went ahead and dropped yourself beside him. He frowned.
“Shouldn’t we be getting up?” He said. “Why are you getting comfortable?”
“Why not?” You muttered, pulling your legs upto your chest, hugging them. “What’s it matter what we do or not? Armin’s the hot shit now, let him deal with everything.” Your head throbbed as you buried them in your knees. "We're too fucking old now anyways,"
He didn’t argue, but he made no attempt to get up either. If anything, he looked more relaxed. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to spend the rest of your life here. After all, you were so tired, and you were sure he was too. This was as good as anywhere else would be.
Because there’s no home to return to anymore.
“Do you think there’s anything left of Hange to bury?” He suddenly said.
You shuddered. What do you answer to that?
Your head pounded so hard, you couldn’t really think. Far away, somewhere in the distance, you could hear someone yelling at another someone, but you couldn’t bother to pay attention to the words. Armin and the others would figure something out surely.
You were exhausted.
“Say, Levi.” You said tiredly, nudging him slightly.
“What?”
“Wanna get married?”
Levi almost choked, he was suddenly all uptight, stiff as a board as he looked at you with wide eyes.
“What the fuck?” He asked, looking mildly horrified. “Are you seriously gonna make jokes here? Here?”
“Not joking.”
You lifted up your head, tilting it to look at him. It was hard to tell whether he was annoyed or flustered. Maybe both. "Not joking at all," You sighed. You’re not sure where the sudden boldness came from, but this is as good a time as any. Might as well. “You’re right. It’s a bad time to make jokes. So I’m dead serious.”
“No, you’re not.”
“I am.” You nodded, turning your expression very serious.
“You’re weird as fuck.” He muttered out after several failed attempts to speak. The tips of his ears turned red, red as it always did whenever you used to jokingly suggest that he should date you. Except you weren’t really joking anymore. In fact, you haven’t been joking for a long, long time.
“I mean..” You closed your eyes. You were too tired to even feel embarrassed. “We’re the only ones left. Me and you. You’re all I have left, Levi. So, why not?”
He gasped at you for a long moment. Then he started shaking his head. “You’re insane.”
“You’re just realizing that?”
“No.” He muttered. “You’re insane. And it’s rubbing off on me.”
He paused for a long time, his one good eye searching your intensely, as if he was considering something. And finally, he made up his mind.
“You’re insane. And I’m no fucking different.” He sighed. “I must’ve hit my head pretty damn hard because I’m actually considering this shit.”
You grinned. “Go on, say it. You like me.”
“Wrong. I tolerate you.”
“Good enough. You don’t tolerate a lot of people, so I’ll take it as I'm special.”
He sighed, turning away, hoping that’s enough to hide his heart from you. You were special to him, always. But you didn’t need to know that. He didn’t want you to know that. He didn’t know how to let you know that.
“Can you believe us?” He scoffed instead. “We’re practically sitting in a graveyard. Half the world’s ruined but then there’s us.”
“That’s fine. Let’s keep being us. The world can go fuck itself. Meanwhile, we can—”
“Do not finish that sentence.” He glared.
You couldn’t help it—you laughed. A deep, aching laugh that left you gasping for air and brought tears to your eyes. And for the briefest moment, Levi’s lips twitched into something resembling a smile.
“We’re insane.” You admitted, still breathless. With that, you pushed yourself up, stumbling a little before you found your balance. You reached out your hand to Levi, who took it without question.
“Come on, Lev.” You pulled him up, letting him wrap an arm around you to brace himself. “Let’s go home.”
You were right, Levi thinks as he limped with you, letting you support him. It was nice to finally let himself lean on someone.
You two are the only ones left.
You’re all he has now.
The world has taken enough from him. He’s so tired of letting go.
And he’d be damned if he let you go too.

your husband is someone who craves physical touch, always wanting to lay down on your lap and have you play with his hair while you coo sweet words to him, being the big spoon and cuddling around you, making him feel like he’s able to protect you.. it wasn’t always sexual, but there have been times where it accidentally became.
he’ll come home to find you chopping up garlic while the pot sizzled with delicious smells of food. seeing you have such a motherly trait makes him want to make you a mother himself. the way you looked at him with big bright eyes and a contagious smile can’t help him but become turned on. he sneaks up behind you, quickly cupping your breasts and massages them roughly, quickly tweaking a nipple which causes you to yelp unexpectedly. trying to back down from the situation, you tell him “the stove is this on! i have to make dinner.”
“you can be dinner instead,” he says lustfully as he rips off your panties and starts to rub you clit. You see his head go deep down in between your legs and his tongue licks over your folds. gosh you can practically hear him smirking as you grasp onto his hair and cry out his name, desperate to hurry up. Before you bring your finger inside of you to do it yourself, he pumps in his index and middle finger into you, making you gasp and pull on his hear. He leaves a audible whimper, letting you know it’s he likes it, making you run your hands through them. As he pushes his fingers deeper and deeper into you, you can feel how close you are. All of a sudden he reaches your g-spot which causes you to warn your about to come. Your body tightens around him as he grips onto your thighs as your warm liquid splashes onto his face. After a moment of pure bliss and relief, he looks up at you and smiles, which tells you he’s not done yet.

Levi doesn't celebrate his birthday
Levi doesn't celebrate his birthday until he's thrown a small surprise by you with a small cake on the kitchen counter. No big parties, just the two of you.
Levi doesn't celebrate his birthday until there's sugar sweet kisses from you on his face while you wrap your arms around him. “Do you like the cake?”
Levi doesn't celebrate his birthday until you're singing happy birthday to him while he cuts the cake. He hates surprises and doesn't like to do much on his birthday. “Okay okay I won't sing happy birthday, please cut the cake.
Levi doesn't celebrate his birthday until you're feeding him a piece of the cake just cut smudging a little cake on your nose accidentally. He doesn't wipe it away or tells you. “Is there something on my face? Why are you smiling like that?”
Levi doesn't expect gifts until you give him something each and every year. Small or big. “It's not much. I hope you'll like it.”
Levi never looks forward to his birthday because he never had anyone to celebrate it with and it was a constant reminder of how alone he was in this world,
until you.
Levi never liked his birthday until you gave him the greatest gift of being in his arms on the couch, breathing softly, mouth agape. Unwrapped gifts and half eaten cake on the table. The framed picture of you two beside was a reminder that he was given the greatest gift in his life, you. That he wasn't alone anymore. That it was okay for him to want a little something on his birthday. That it was okay for him to be happy on his birthday.
Levi never liked his birthday until you came as the greatest present in his life.
Well, maybe not just you anymore. The two little lines on the pregnancy test inside your coat pocket says otherwise.

♡ Levi being awkward about his feelings for you and not knowing how to act around you.
♡ SFW, pretty fluffy ♡ Levi x Fem!Reader ♡ One shot, soft Levi ♡ Word count: 2431 ♡ Summary: You work at the orphanage that Levi helped facilitate. You think he doesn't like you -- he definitely doesn't act like it. But it turns out, you couldn't be more wrong.
Levi tends to visit the orphanage now and then, when he can. He doesn't like to make a big show of it -- he just wants to check in on things, make sure everything is running smoothly and that the children are being properly cared for. After all, this is a project that he had helped bring to fruition.
He's pragmatic with his approach to his visits -- he wants to know updates, facts, and problems to which he can find solutions by leveraging his position as Captain. He doesn't interact much with the children, it's not exactly his strong suit. Still, he seems to linger longer than he needs to. He usually just leans against the fence along the perimeter of the grounds, taking in the idyllic scene of children, no longer lost and alone, playing in the field together.
There was no need for him to do this, but he did it anyway. And you had noticed.
But, you could never get a read on Levi, really. The two of you hardly interacted outside of meetings, during which, you'd often feel his eyes burning into you, narrowed and tense. While others in the meetings talked about numbers, resources, and operations, you typically told stories about the children -- their personalities, preferences, funny habits, concerns you had for each of their small, little hearts. It didn't help that you frequently bent the rules, too, finding them too constricting and unnecessary.
This often dragged the meetings out longer than necessary, and you could sense the annoyance emanating off of Levi. He wasn't fond of you and your sentimental musings -- this much you were sure of.
You missed today's meeting, somewhat purposefully, trying to avoid subjecting yourself to Levi's gaze and mutterings.
It's one of the first Spring days that feels truly in bloom, the sun kissing your skin, blossoms dotting the trees, the grass lush and vibrant. So, you sit out in the field and read a storybook to the children, who are either sitting at your feet or laying down, one of them tucked up into your lap.
Some of them had been falling behind in learning to read and write -- it wasn't their fault, and you wanted to help. You show all of them each of the words in the book and help them sound out the letters, guiding them through the story.
After the meeting inside draws to a close, Levi makes his way out into the field as he always does, expecting to see the children running around as they usually are. Instead, he sees you. His posture stiffens as he approaches you, his expression unreadable.
"That's not your job," he comments, a flat statement, as he leans against the fence. He looks down at you, his gaze scrutinizing. "They have teachers."
You tilt your head up to look at him, a soft smile on your face. "I know, but," you look at the children, "they don't mind that, do they?"
The children collectively shake their heads, tiny giggles rising from the group.
Tch. He's officially annoyed.
"Suppose it doesn't matter then, huh?" His voice drips with dry sarcasm. "Just do whatever you want."
The child who is curled into your lap gently tugs on your sleeve, lifting themselves up to whisper into your ear, not very discreetly, "Miss Y/N, why is Captain Levi always so grumpy?"
You catch Levi's frown, subtle as it may be, and the low rumble that comes from the back of his throat.
You laugh, an effortless, melodious sound, your lips curving into a wider smile that reveals your teeth. "I don't know," you whisper to the child with just as much indiscretion, "why don't you ask him?"
The child's face flushes bright pink, nuzzling their head into the fabric of your shirt, too sheepish to talk to Levi themselves. Your hand lifts up to stroke the child's hair.
For a moment so fleeting you can't be sure it actually happened at all, his eyes follow the tender, gentle motion of your fingers stroking the child's hair, before he looks away. Your gaze lingers on his profile, tracing the outline of it, the way his hair blows in the breeze, revealing a clearer look at his eyes than usual.
He shifts his weight as he stands there, just barely, a signal that he's waiting both for this scene to end, and to speak to you, likely about logistics. You get the hint.
"Alright, my sweethearts, why don't you all head inside?" You look at the group of children, nodding your head toward the large farmhouse. "Go on and get cleaned up for dinner, I'm expecting no dirty little hands at the table, hm?"
The children scramble to their feet and begin running off, giggling and mumbling to each other as they do. You rise up, closing the book and tucking it under your arm and brushing off the blades of grass that have stuck to your clothes.
"Come inside for some tea?" You ask, your eyes drifting back to Levi after you watch the children run off, the bubbly sounds of their laughter popping in the air.
He pauses for a beat. The faintest twitch of his lower lip. "Sure, 'ppreciate it."
You grin. "Okay, great." You begin walking. "You usually decline that offer."
You look at him from the corner of your eye. His movements as he walks are precise, economical, his eyes cemented forward.
"So?" The word is terse, even a tinge defensive. "Doesn't mean I hate tea."
You accept his answer; with him, you tend to take what you get. The rest of the walk is silent, apart from the gentle hum of springtime bursting to life around you.
Inside, the kitchen is washed in golden sunlight, specks of dust hovering in the air as if the moment is completely suspended in time. Without a word, Levi takes a seat at the small table by the window, his head turned to look outside as you set the kettle on the stove. You can't help but catch glances at the back of his head, the tilt of his shoulders.
You make two cups of black tea -- both with milk and a drop of honey. This is how everyone you know drinks it, and you can't imagine anyone would have a preference for it plain, bitter.
You settle into the chair next to his, and you hand him the teacup, which he takes from you by the top, your fingers briefly brushing against his in the exchange. His skin is dry, rough. He peers into the cup, his teeth grinding together imperceptibly as he notes the light, creamy color of the tea; he takes a sip and his eyelid flutters, faintly.
Normally, with anyone else, he'd have pushed the cup to the side, his mouth set in a curt line of disapproval at the unnecessary sweetness. But for some reason that he's not quite sure of, with you, he can't. He sips the tea anyway, forces himself to.
"One of the other workers ratted on you." He breaks the silence. He leans back in his chair, slinging one leg over the other, his ankle resting on his knee. "Told me you let those brats sneak into the kitchen at night and take extra food."
"Oh," your teeth clench together, your nose scrunches, embarrassed to be caught. "Well, the thing with that- it's-"
"Why?" He cuts you off, a single word urging you to get to the point. God, you think, he must think I'm a complete idiot.
You inhale deeply. "I think they're just hungry, you know? Their meals aren't always that big, and they're still growing, so..."
"That's not what I'm asking," his gaze bores into yours with an intensity you're not sure he's completely aware of. "I'm asking why you let them do it."
"Oh," you sigh softly, your eyes tracing over the patterns in the wooden table, collecting your thoughts. "It wouldn't feel right to scold them, to dissuade them from wanting something as simple as food. They've never been allowed to want... anything before. I don't want them to feel like they're not supposed to want even the most basic things. I think it would make them feel like... like they don't deserve anything."
"You're not wrong about that." His voice is low, hardly above a whisper, and he turns his head to look out the window. "I'm not going to stop you from letting them do it. I just... wanted to know why."
You see the clouds swirling in his irises for a moment, his jawline tense with thought, with memory, with contemplation.
You look away, feeling as if you're intruding on something private just by looking at him. You lift your teacup and take a long sip, then set it back down.
At the sound of your cup fitting back into its saucer, he's brought back to reality. His gaze narrows, helplessly fixated on the rim of your teacup, on the faded pink lipstick stain you left on it, that somehow blends perfectly into the intricate floral pattern painted onto the cup. A short, barely perceptible puff of air escapes his nose.
He looks at you, again, his eyes catching the sunlight in a way that makes them look silver, but not icy or cold -- like delicate dew drops that form in the gray early morning mist after a rainy night. Rare, and oddly comforting.
He's too busy looking at you to notice you looking at him. His eyes trace over you, as if he's searching for something. Something that he's not sure if he wants to find, but has to -- in the way the light catches your hair and brings secret tones and shades out of it, the softness of your breathing, the lingering redness from the sun that glows on your cheeks, nose, and shoulders.
He doesn't understand it -- you -- how you've remained good, compassionate, free, warm, even hopeful, despite the cruelty and ugliness of the world you both live in. But he wants to understand it, just by looking at you.
"You look..." he begins, the words tumbling out of his mouth tightly, awkwardly, as if by accident.
Your eyes snap to his, widened slightly like an animal caught in the woods, and your hand flies up to your mouth. "What? Is there something on my face?"
Your fingers wipe across your lips preemptively, the apples of your cheeks and the bridge of your nose turn rosy. He watches this motion, and his brows press together, his jaw clamps down. You think he's become actually repelled by you.
"No. Shit. You look," his voice is flat, dry. His hand gestures vaguely, the movement stilted and rigid, as if he's trying to find the word he's looking for in the air, "nice. Now. In the sunlight." He grumbles the last part.
You couldn't help but smile. It was endearing in a way, seeing Levi, who is typically calm and collected, stumble his way through a simple sentence.
"Thank you, Levi." You mean it, genuinely.
"Yeah." He clears his throat. The grip of his fingers flex slightly, tightening their hold around the rim of his tea cup.
"I always thought I bothered you." Your head tilts to the side, your hair flowing with the movement. A glint of amusement, teasing shines in your eyes.
"You do bother me," he breathes out, firmly, his eyes darting to the side. "Just not in the way you think."
Oh.
"I see..." The words come out of your mouth in a single breath, your heart catching in your throat, preventing you from saying anything more.
He looks at you. The tension in his jaw releases, his lips relax, parting ever so slightly.
"Is that alri-"
"Yes." You cut him off before he can even finish the thought, before he can question this fragile moment and retreat back inside himself.
He nods, strands of his hair swaying in front of his eyes. Your hand, drawn to him by an invisible force, reaches up to his forehead. You hover, hesitantly, before pushing the hair away from his eyes, slowly, your touch feather-light.
Instantly, instinctively, he turns his head away, pulling away from your touch partially. His top lip tugs upward, a movement of subdued discomfort, uncertainty. Your hand slides down to his chin, gently coaxing him back toward you, and he allows it.
"Sorry." He mutters. "I don't..." The rest of the sentence evades him. But you know where it was going. He doesn't do this. He doesn't know how.
You nod, your expression melting into one of understanding. Your eyes glide around his face, your fingers returning to his hair, pushing away the curtain that his eyes often hide behind.
"What are you doing?" He's not defensive -- he's genuinely curious.
"I want to see your eyes better." You tilt your head as you look at him, your eyes meeting his, looking into them for what feels like the first time, with a clarity and honesty that feels palpable. He lets you.
Your lips curl up into a perfect curve, and his eyes shift down to them immediately. His expression doesn't waver, but his dilating pupils reveal his hand.
You begin to lean in, little by little, as if testing how far he'll let this go, what he truly wants. His eyes meet yours again with a softness, a vulnerable longing that grants you permission. Finally, you close the space between the two of you, your lips lightly brushing against his. You feel a small breath escape from his lips, melting against yours.
His head tilts and he leans in further, his lips molding against yours with a whispered intensity. A soft sound rises in the back of his throat, as his hand finds its way to the back of your head, his fingers tangling into your hair. His tongue presses against your lips, realizing he's enjoying the taste of something sweet for the first time.
He tugs your hair, not forcefully, just enough to pull you back so he can look into your eyes; you can see the thoughts reeling through his head as his eyes shift between the two of yours.
"Y/N," his voice dips into a rare tenderness, "you bother me. A lot."
You're not sure if you're imagining it, but you think you even see the smallest upturn to his lips.
"Then I suppose I'll have to keep bothering you," you match his tone, your words wrapping around him with a warmth he's never felt before.
He makes a hm sound of approval. He nods. He smiles -- you're sure of it this time.

levi ackerman 𑄽ᧉྀི
summary: you share your first kiss with the captain.
cw: canon universe, fem!bodied reader, sad reader comforting a sad levi, mentions of war and death, sloppy kissing turns into an angry makeout session, hair pulling, etc, mdni <3
levi ackerman had an apparent disregard for what everybody thought of him; he broke the rules. he had the mettle to make decisions others couldn’t - wouldn’t dare - that’s what made him the perfect captain. he was distant, some would say harsh, and didn’t care to waste his breath spouting nosense about hope.
it wasn’t necessary, he thought, you would all end up dying on him anyway.
despite this, during the little time levi had to himself, he would devise strategies to ensure that you came back alive from each reconnaissance. he would beg erwin to reconsider the formation, so that you could ride next to him on the next mission, where he could keep you safe, although your chances of making it back unscathed were not minimal.
“i don’t give a shit, just make sure she’s next to me. she isn’t as strong as the others.”
he’d bluffed, knowing that you were next in line for his throne, you were nearly as strong as him. to no avail, levi tried to convince himself that was your only value to the survey corps.
you had taught levi more than a few things about softness, and of how to be patient. in the strictest of confidence, he swore an oath to protect you, and would conquer however many titans necessary to fulfil it.
“captain?” you knocked on his door, politely interrupting his concentration.
“what?” he answered curtly, the weight of yesterday’s failed expedition still resting on his shoulders. he glanced up from an empty tea cup, blinking away his exhaustion, “it’s you. i see. what do you need?”
your intentions weren’t obvious, you were off-duty and had no official business in levi’s quarters. he guessed that you needed him for something else. you hesitated, realising that you hadn’t rehearsed any of this before knocking on levi’s door. he frowned at you in exchange.
“i came to see if you were okay?” you said shyly.
“what?” he practically snorted and got up, turning his body away from you so that you wouldn’t see the surprise on his face.
you’d learned to pity your captain. his short body always looked so sore, new scars would appear on his hands, and go unnoticed. you’d once offered to attend to a cut on his knuckles but he’d told you to, quote, “fuck off and mind your own business.”
however, this wasn’t pity that you felt, this was unchartered territory. you were visiting him out of hours, you were worried. you’d been outside the walls, fought titans, and made it back alive, but insinuating that you cared about levi felt, somewhat, scarier.
levi, your captain, of all people.
you took a step deeper into his room, swallowing thickly. you’d always guessed it would be peaceful in his quarters; his room was clean and organised, and he had a candle burning at his bed side. it’s soft light flickered across your face.
“captain. i think you should take a break-“ you paused, treading carefully around the subject of work, “come for a walk with me?”
“what?” he deadpanned, looking up at you in a vain attempt to read you.
you were smiling, but you smiled at everyone, he certainly wasn’t an exception. you were being kind to him but, again, you were kind to everyone, even the assholes.
secondly, he couldn’t deduce what gave you the sudden courage to knock on his door and invite him on a walk - in the middle of the night.
“captain?” you prompted with a keen sparkle in your eyes, unsure what to make of his response, or lack thereof.
“did you have somewhere in mind?” he sighed, finally giving in and putting his cup down.
“somewhere hidden. can be our secret.” you joked, catching him off-guard again.
levi clenched his jaw, painfully aware of the implications should he get caught alone with you. he wouldn’t lose his job, no, it’d be worse than that - he would be teased for the rest of his life!
“sure.” he eventually agreed after pretending to think about it. he took a cloak from his hanger for warmth and, beneath that, he wore a shirt and tight slacks to hide the bruises he’d earned in battle.
he brushed past you, leading the way out, his small shadow dancing on the walls. you could tell that he wasn’t relaxed, he couldn’t relax, and held a permanently stiff posture. could you blame him? all that death on his shoulders, all those lives on the line.
having pulled your hood up to stay hidden, your smile drooped and you looked down at your feet as you followed behind him, wondering what you could possibly say. what could possibly make things better? or change the fate of humanity?
“so. you invited me out for a walk, and now the cat’s got your tongue?” levi asked, breaking the heavy silence.
you dragged your hand mindlessly along the cobblestone walls, and hummed. “there’s isn’t much to say, honestly. just thought it’d do you some good to get out.”
levi chuckled ungenuinely - it was honestly ironic.
“i go outside all the time.” he spoke as he glared at the tunnel ahead. “it’s just unfortunate i have to spend all of that time butchering titans.”
you frowned with him, hugging your cloak to your body you as you emerged from the tunnel onto the training grounds.
it was completely dark outside, save for the two sconces either side of the doorway you were stood in, and the stars twinkling down at you from the heavens. you watched levi’s cold breath make clouds as he exhaled, scanning the field.
“you can relax.” you mumbled, watching him scour the trees for signs of life. it was like he’d developed a reflex for hunting titans, it was instinctual now. he felt the constant prickle of anxiety, you felt it too.
you were so transfixed on levi’s scowl and the determination in his expression, that you had little time to appreciate what beauty was left in your world: the frost, the birds, the wind.
you tugged on levi’s cape, stealing his attention. his hard expression softened.
“sorry. been hard to relax lately.” he admitted, kicking the gravel with his boot.
“you’re the strongest man i know, levi.” your voice cracked,
“i don’t mean physically. i don’t understand how you get up every morning and face the world, and those titans. if- if i were you- i would have given up years ago.” you began messily, clutching your fist against your racing heart.
levi sighed, and cradled your face with his strong hands, furrowing his eyebrows as he peered into you. his hands were freezing, it was a surprise to you that they weren’t numb.
“shut up.” he scolded gently, and looked down at your glistening lips. “i would have given up too, if not for you.”
he brought you closer, snaking one of his thick arms around your waist. levi didn’t care anymore. without a second thought, he surrendered, he couldn’t bear not having you for a second longer, he was but sand in the hourglass of time.
he used his other hand to guide your chin forwards. he pressed his lips softly to yours and your heart stopped, but you pecked him back.
he kissed you so gently, carefully cherishing the taste of you, as if it were his last night on earth.
you kissed him back, holding onto his collar, whilst he made guttural sounds that lit a fire within you. you could feel all of his rough scars tickling your skin as you moaned weakly into his mouth.
crazed, he grabbed your hair from underneath your hood, pulling you into his taut body, so hard that you crashed into him. your hood fell down, revealling tears that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. he wouldn’t dare, but levi felt like crying too.
you kissed his open mouth, licking his tongue sloppily, letting him lick yours too. the way he kissed you gave you butterflies, it was more than what you’d ever imagined. your heart ached, your body tingled, your feelings felt uncontainable.
you smiled at him, sticking your tongue out for him to taste. levi groaned darkly and licked it, again and again, before grabbing a fistful of the hair on the back of your head. he tied his fingers into your hair and gripped it hard before smashing his mouth back into yours again.
you felt so alive you were sure you were going to die.
you pulled back for air after a while. levi looked at you with starving eyes, and followed you backwards into the wall. you parted your legs to make room for his knee, which he pushed up into the space between your legs. he caged your head between his two hands on the wall, gritting his teeth against your ear,
“captain…” you croaked.
“don’t you die on me. ever.” he grunted, pressing his forehead tiredly to the side of your head, breathing raggedly.
“i won’t.”

An: Nepobabyy! I’m always happy to see a fic request from you because you and I have very similar tastes in men 🤤
For the record, this was NOT suppose to be happening.
You were supposed to be in bed: asleep. You weren’t even suppose to be awake. These were the only few hours that Levi gets to spend in total peace and quiet.
Levi was sitting in the small dining area of the cottage that he, you, and Hange share as leaders of the Survey Corps. The early hours of the morning was the only time that it was peaceful in this house. That's because you and Hange are usually still asleep at this hour unless there's a bit outing planned. The dining area was dimly lit by a small gas lantern that was sat upon the kitchen table, and Levi was reading a book until you came inside.
His narrow eyes flickered up to your frame as you haphazardly stumbled towards the counter. Levi couldn't tell if you were even fully awake or not. He didn't care though — not one bit. His eyes returned to his book as he took note of your messy hair and pretty skin being softly illuminated by the glow of the lantern. He didn't care though. He just happened to notice these things about you. He's observant.
You were absolutely the last person he wanted to see at four in the morning.
You and Levi were like oil and water. You two just didn't mix very well even though you're both captains over the survey corps. Some would compare you two to the sun and the moon, but it was more like you and Levi were two sides of the same coin.
Levi was a man of principle, rules, and boundaries. He lived his life to a strict, tidy schedule, and he strived to make others also adhere to his standard of living.
You were more like chaos. While you weren't necessarily messy or disorganized, you were more spontaneous - living by the seat of your pants constantly.
Levi loathed your methods, and he made it abruptly clear each time he could. As it happens, today he may have went a bit too far with his criticisms.
You were giving a training pep talk to the scouts, talking about living in the moment and letting the adrenaline take it's natural course in your veins. It was a really good talk, until Levi spoke up from behind you.
"I wonder just how many cadets felt that same rush of adrenaline right before they died by a titan exploiting their weakness-" He went on about the necessity of control and utter focus, but you mentally checked out from the conversation.
It wasn't the worst thing he had ever said to you. You two had your fair share of back and forth arguments that usually ended in Hange yelling at you two to just fuck and get over it. But this stung worse than other snide comments. He had insinuated that your methods - your leadership had led people to their deaths.
When you silently walked away from the cadets, walking past Hange like they weren't even there, they stared at Levi with a 'say something' expression, but Levi wouldn't suppress his pride like that... not even if something deep within him reverberated throughout his body.
He hadn't seen you all day, but here you were: encroaching on his peace and quiet, and fuck, he detested the pouty look of sorrow on your face as you were searching for something on the counter.
Your hand finally found what it was searching for: the neck of a whine bottle. Alcohol was a commodity around this area, but Erwin had gifted it to you, Levi, and Hange one Christmas. He wrote a thoughtful note of his gratitude towards the three of you.
The bottle of wine had been practically untouched. Levi didn't drink at all — period. Hange didn't like wine, so that left you in charge of taking care of the bottle.
The cork parted from the bottle with a loud 'pop', and Levi cut his eyes back towards you. "A bit early to start drinking." He muttered lowly, taking the chance to speak to you when you were clearly upset about earlier.
"I wonder how many of your scouts died before they were old enough to drink." You turned towards him, eyeing him down with a look that he's never seen from you. This wasn't just petty anger — this was betrayal, hurt, and frustration.
Levi's finger hooked into the collar of his white button-up shirt, and he pulled it away from his neck as the tension in the room was already suffocating enough. "Say what you mean, or don't speak to me at all."
He knew he fucked up, but he wasn't going to allow you to fire back at him the same way. Unlike you, he didn't let feelings get in the way of his duties. He had it perfectly under control... if you ignored the way his heart was slamming against his ribcage. His stomach was screaming at him to just be a man and apologize, but his prideful brain hated that idea.
"You undermined me in front of the scouts, and frankly, what you said was in poor taste. I don't know what I ever did to you to make you hate my presence so much, but if you pull that shit again, I will not walk away silently again." You turned the wine bottle upwards, and the stout red liquid poured down your throat.
"Are you threatening me?" Levi asks, and he closes his book so he can face you squarely. His sharp facial features were only accentuated from the light cast from the lantern.
"Men. All you hear is the last part of what I said. You never focus on the real problem of it all." The bottle clanks against the counter harder than you intended, and Levi rises from his chair carefully. You scoff with a small sarcastic chuckle. You know that Levi's humanity's strongest soldier, but he's still smaller than you. You have a few inches of height and wingspan on him as the top of your head just barely clears his. Without his ODM gear and swords, he's just a short guy with an attitude problem.
"The problem is you act on pure impulse. You don't ever think your actions through. You're going to end up dead one day." His steps are cold and calculated as he approaches you, and he takes the cork from your hand, swiftly shoving it back into the bottle.
"You should be celebrating that considering how much you hate me." You whisper under your breath — not needing to speak any louder with his body so close to yours. Your faces are mere inches apart, and his hands are placed on the counter behind you, trapping you in.
"Dumbass." He chided lowly, and his eyes flickered to your lips briefly — just long enough for you to notice.
Suddenly, you feel your own heart pounding in your chest. Your stomach twists and constricts from nerves and the wine that was rapidly digesting. The cottage was so. damn. quiet. You could hear both yours and Levi's breaths — neither of you daring to move an inch.
"I don't want you dead." Levi finally adds bluntly. "I..." His words get caught in his throat, and he takes a deep breath to soothe his nerves. "You're right. I undermined you, and that wasn't okay."
Your expression softens as you gaze at him. He's trying. It isn't an apology, but he admitted he was wrong. "It wasn't..." You respond softly before leaning in a fraction of an inch.
Levi's eyes are glued to your lips as you speak, and he bites at the side of his cheek - wondering what you tasted like this early in the morning.
"It wasn't okay for you to threaten me either... Rather, it's not okay to assume so easily that you'd win." His head tilts ever so slightly to the side, and he leans in closer to your warmth.
You tongue instinctively delves out, wetting your lips as he's so damn close to you. The tension between you two was absolutely palpable. "You don't think I'd win?" You ask softly — only to provoke him a bit more.
"Don't be so stupid." His voice drops an octave lower, and his hands find the back of your thighs before effortlessly lifting you up and onto the counter.
You may be taller than Levi, but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in raw strength and speed.
He stands between your legs before leaning in even closer, causing for you to lean back — pressing your head against one of the cupboards. "I can throw you around without a second thought." He lowly boasts.
His hand reaches for the top of your head, and he guides your face downwards to his with a firm tug. "So, I'd advice you not to threaten me again, or else I'll show you why I am a captain."
Your nose is just barely brushing against his, and you feel like you're struggling to breath with his intense gaze on you. "Maybe I'd respect you more if you did."
"Insolent brat." He grits before tugging you into him closer. Your lips smash against his as his hand tightens around your hair, keeping you still as he pours every ounce of lust and longing into the kiss.
Your breath picks up in speed as you wrap your arms around his neck, and your legs wrap around his waist. Levi lets out a small muffled grunt, and he promptly lifts you off of the counter, carrying you as if you were nothing but a stuffed animal to him towards his room.
“Levi..” You whispered between messy panicked kisses.
“Hm?” He hums against your lips, not bothering to part from them a for a second. He bumps his door shut with his hip before he walks to you to his bed, tossing you down onto the crisply folded sheets. His bed is made so meticulously. You wonder how long he spends on it each morning.
“This doesn’t seem like a fair fight.” You muse as you sit up, using your hands to prop up your body against his mattress.
A small barely noticeable smirk quirks up on Levi’s lips, and he stalks towards his bed. His hands are unbuttoning each of his shirt buttons one by one, slowly trailing down his muscular body.
“Well, you’re not even trying to fight back.” He replies in an almost humorous tone as he shrugs his shirt off of his shoulders. The piece of fabric falls to the ground.
“Oh? You want me to fight back?” You ask, cocking an eyebrow, and Levi inches closed to the bed that you unceremoniously splayed on.
“You can try.” He comments before you reach up to grab him and pull him down to you.
The two of you toss and turn, putting each other in different holds and presses. It’s honestly difficult to tell if you two are trying to fight or fuck. It’s probably a malgamation of both.
Except a clear answer is given when Levi is behind you, pinning you face down to his mattress with his hand pressed against your back. Your ass is turned upwards, rubbing against the seat of his pants perfectly.
“Such a brat. Making me work this damn hard for this.” He grunts lowly as he uses his free hand to undo his belt. He makes sure to keep you pinned while he slips the leather around your wrists, effectively binding your hands behind your back with his belt.
Your hips flutter upwards with a small sigh — presenting yourself to him as if you were in heat. Levi chuckles lowly at the sight, appreciating how needy you are for him after a bit of rough housing. He always suspected that you had a thing for liking it rough after many days of seeing your blushing face and trembling thighs while training.
“Filthy girl.” He mutters while giving your ass a firm spank. His hands then find the waistband of your pajama pants, and he tugs them down with ease before admiring your pretty pussy — still clothed by the thin material of your panties. He can see a small wet spot from your arousal already building.
“Levi..” You whimper into his pillow, pushing your hips back further towards him. You were tired of being tough and strong. You wanted needed to just give in to your most basic, primal desires.
“Shhh. I know.” He murmurs tenderly as his fingers graze against your dampening panties. “Let me fix it. I always do.” He carefully strokes your clothed pussy once more before he focuses his fingers against the small button of nerves, rubbing tight circles into your core.
“Ahh~” You let out a breathy whine, completely enthralled by the fact that you can’t move at all. You’re stuck complying with his whims because Levi can just maneuver you into whatever position he wants you in. He doesn’t give a fuck how much taller or bigger you think you are than him.
Your panties are swiftly pulled down as Levi doesn’t think he can live with the throbbing pain of his cock twitching in the confines of his pants and boxers. His eyes marvel at your glistening cunt — so pretty and wet, just for him.
His mouth salivated at the thought of getting a taste, but he’s in a frenzy when he looked at the clock on the wall. It’s nearly six in the morning, which is when Hange normally rolls out of bed. He really didn’t need them ruining this for him.
His hand shoves his pants down, exposing his all too heavy cock, and he takes this moment to jerk himself a few times to the beautiful sight he has in front of him.
You’re bent over, looking as complacent as ever with his belt tying your hands behind your back. You’re rendered completely useless, and even if you weren’t, you’re so needy for his cock that you can barely even function.
“Gods, fuck.. please.. please.” You whine and beg beneath him, tugging against your makeshift restraints as if to entice him more.
His co-captain is such a needy mess. He needed to fuck some sense into you.
“Yeah.. you want it?” He asks as he presses his sweltering tip against your drooling entrance. A hefty groan falls from his lips as he feels how fucking warm you are. It’s been far too fucking long for him. There’s no way he’s lasting long, especially not inside your divine pussy.
“W-want it.. yes, Levi.. Please I want it.” You shamelessly beg, even while you know it’ll be a tight squeeze, and fuck, it’s a damn near impossible squeeze.
Your toasty walls grip him like a vice as he bullied his way so deeply inside of you, forcing his eyes to roll back into his head as he let out quiet grunts and growls. He bit onto his inner cheek hard to keep himself from finishing so prematurely.
He’s a gentleman at heart, wanting to pull as many orgasms from you as he can before he busts himself, but chivalry be damned; he wants to pump you so full that you’re unable to walk for the of the day.
“You’re so.. mmmph.. fucking tight… shit... Squeezing me like you don’t hate my guts.” He muses as he slowly rocks his hips back and forth. He grips the belt that’s binding your wrists, and he pulls you down onto his cock harder, literally skewering you onto him.
“Oh fuck! Levi!” You cry out, unable to even filter your noises in the slightest. “D-don’t hate you.. ngh.. need you, want you.” You whine, and Levi subtly smiles from your sudden sweet comments, but he’s not going to let off that easily.
He growls lowly before he lets go of your wrists. His smaller frame mounts you from behind before he takes his hand, wrapping it into your hair, and shoves your face down farther into his pillow. “Shut the fuck up before you wake someone.” He warns in a husky whisper pressed right against your ear.
“m sorry… ‘m sorry! nnngh~ so good.. I can’t help it.” You apologized in a muffled whine, making Levi scoff at your pathetic attempts of being good for him.
When your noises are subdued a little bit, his hands flee your hair, and he grips your hips hard enough to bruise as he pounded into you relentlessly.
The obscene sounds of skin slapping against skin echoes in his room, mixing with your muffled moans and Levi's grunts of pleasure. It’s filthy and wrong and so fucking hot that Levi thinks he might actually combust from the intensity of it all.
Your legs are completely trembling, and you’re just so fucking wet. Your poor messy cunt is dripping all over his sheets and blanket, and Levi’s vulgar mind is focused on how he’ll be able to smell you later. He’s already planning on getting himself off to the scent of your arousal.
“Fuck Levi… I c-can’t.. mm.. I’m going to cum-!” You warn in a breathless whine, unable to keep up with the way his hips are brutally snapping behind you.
“That’s all you can take, brat?” He mocks with a taunting laugh before he wraps your hair around his knuckles, tugging your face up from the pillow. “Cum for me.” He demands lowly, slamming himself into you even deeper — trying to push himself directly into your womb with the way his tip is kissing your cervix with each deep thrust.
Not even a second later, you drenched walls convulse around him, squeezing him somehow even tighter than before. It’s the only piece of heaven that a devil like Levi will ever see. Now’s as good of time as any.
His thrusts become sloppy, his rhythm faltering as he dances on the edge of an orgasm. You could feel him throbbing deep inside you, his cock pulsing with the need for release.
Levi grits his teeth together, and he forces your body against his rapidly, making you see stars as you’re trying to cope with your own orgasm. His bed is rattling and knocking against the wall, but he can’t bring himself to care.
A loud breathy groan rips through the air as he finally pumps you so fucking full of his cum. His cock just keeps twitching with ribbon after ribbon. It’s been so long since his last release. He’s sure that the sheer potency of his seed will likely get you pregnant, but he only finds that idea to be even more enticing.
Your legs are twitching as your body slumps against the bed. His cock eases out of you slowly, and he watches with lust filled eyes as his cum starts to seep out of your ruined hole. A small frown occupies his lips, and he scoops some of his own semen onto his fingers before he pushes them deep inside you — fucking his cum back into you.
“Mmmnph!” You whine into the pillows at your back arches back up.
“It’s your own damn fault for being wasteful. Keep whining like that, and I’ll pump more into you.” He threatens as his fingers piston in and out of you at a leisurely pace.
Your head turns to face him while still forcibly being bent over, and you give him a small mischievous grin before letting out another pornographic whine.
“You’re fucking asking for it now, brat.” He grunts as he swiftly flips you onto your back. Levi is a man of his word after all.

part one. / part three. | masterlist
There’s a pop-up shop about six floors above yours—
A noisy bar quickly becomes background white noise.
—if you don’t mind walking a neighbor home.
And within a breath, the world ceases to exist.
You’re not sure what you were expecting him to say, but it sure as hell isn’t that.
(He gets paid to be a smooth talker, but holy shit, it is catastrophically different when you’re saddled with the reality that you can walk — run — straight to the man inviting you to his home.)
Before you can even think, your voice blurts out of your parted lips:
“I don’t mind.”
Not.
At.
All.
Annie will forgive you.
Hell, you bet everyone crowding that tiny high-top table will forgive you come Monday morning when you’re back in the office.
Half of them won’t even remember that you were there in the first place. It’s a win-win situation.
There is no hesitation in the way you pick up your purse from the countertop and rush towards the front entrance of the bar, your eyes zeroed in on a patient Levi.
It takes some serpentining, but eventually you burst through the doors.
Levi turns towards you, his cell phone still held to his ear.
There’s a little pink in his cheeks — from the nipping bite of the cold evening weather or his quick-witted pick-up line, you aren’t sure.
“Sorry,” you exhale like you’ve run a marathon in such a short distance. “I should’ve said bye or something before running out here, but I figured—”
The fringe of his hair shakes in his eyes as he holds up a finger to his lips.
Silence.
A stern expression replaces the debonair, and for a moment, you wonder if something is wrong.
But then—
“Yeah, no, I’m calling out for the evening,” he states. “Will you relay, Petra?”
Petra.
You know that woman’s name.
(The hotline receptionist responsible for connecting you to him.)
“Not an emergency, no,” he reassures, brows briefly knitting together. “Just taking some time off.” A pause. “Why are you laughing?” Another pause. “Forward them to Erwin. I trust him not to run my damn clients off. Thanks.”
Oh.
He’s—
“Sorry about that.”
Pocketing his phone, he squares his shoulders and waits expectantly.
A suspicious crawl of embarrassment runs through your veins, like somehow being spontaneous — selfish — inconvenienced him.
“You had a shift tonight?” you ask belatedly.
“I did,” Levi admits, that buttery-smooth voice curving with a lift of amusement. “And now I don’t.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t want to mess up your—”
“I have over a hundred hours of time accrued,” he interrupts in the very tone he’s used in your sessions before when you chalk up your existence as being a nuisance to him: stop. “If anything, it’ll get them off of my ass for never using it.”
Your brows raise. “A hundred?”
“Over,” Levi corrects, “so you’re doing me a favor — if you’re still in the mood for tea, of course.”
There’s a pause. A taxi flies by to fill the anticipating void.
I’m well past the mood for tea — is what you would say if you were a psychopath.
Instead you clamp your mouth shut and nod.
Levi nods with you, seemingly exhaling a breath he may have been holding. As he steps forward, one foot in front of the other.
His attention drops from your face, searching your form in a way that makes you feel exposed.
Wanted.
Then he clears his throat and raises a stiff elbow — a polite gesture.
Take it.
The sheer idea of touching him is so fucking daunting.
Until now, you haven’t done anything but fantasize about him, but he’s flesh and blood and right in front of you — if you’re willing to simply take.
So you do.
Slowly you glide your hand over the crease of his elbow, tucking it against his side until your bodies are looped. The sheer cut of his bicep in his 90-degree angle threatens to make you lose your composure.
Jesus, it’s so solid.
(It’ll be a miracle if you even make it back to his apartment in one piece, let alone your own after everything is said and done.)
He walks. You follow until you match his pace.
For most of the journey, the two of you step in silent tandem.
While he stares ahead, stopping you both whenever you reach a crosswalk, you can’t help but look over his profile. His cheekbones are even higher than you imagined, chiseled from the Gods, with dark hair that fades in an undercut at the nape of his neck.
Levi is the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen in your life, and you live in a pretty damn busy city, so you’ve seen a lot of men.
“Stairs or elevator?” he asks once he breaks the rhythm of your feet to move two paces ahead, grabbing the door with his fist. He detaches from you to pull open the door, offering you to walk through first.
You’re so giddy over the chivalry you nearly miss the question.
“Wait, what?”
“Stairs.” He nods his head, the stark black fringe waving with it. “Or elevator.”
“You live on the sixteenth floor.”
“Yeah.”
“Wait — Levi, do you walk the fucking stairs?”
Levi blinks like he has to remember that isn’t normal before clearing his throat.
“Sometimes.”
“Oh my god.”
“I didn’t want to get complacent after losing my job at the gym,” he states, changing his trajectory as he heads for the elevator instead.
You’re grateful that, for once, you’re not trying to act brave — or stupid.
Your big mouth doesn’t try to say that sixteen flights of stairs is totally fine just to impress him.
(This man has already heard what you sound like when you orgasm on more than one occasion. In some twisted way, the two of you are way past the surface stages of courting, but it doesn’t make this any less daunting.)
Once more he tracks ahead to hold the elevator door for you. Waiting until you’re comfortably inside, he presses the grayed ‘16’ button on the panel. It illuminates in an outdated hazy yellow — forcing your attention to the grayed ‘10’ just below it.
Six fucking floors, all this time.
Once the doors close, Levi Ackerman leans his back against the metal wall, his arms crossed and forearms barred from his rolled-up sleeves.
You stay put in the dead center of the lift, watching him stare at the elevator panel until he lifts his chin to look back at you.
Neither of you look away.
The prolonged eye contact feels like an acknowledgement of a solved mystery between two people.
He knows you better than most people. You’d wager you may know him just as well.
“You okay?” he asks, softer this time.
The intensity of his gaze doesn’t waver.
You find yourself nodding before you realize it.
“Are you?”
Levi takes a moment to drop his attention an indiscernible amount, mulling over your question, before meeting your eyes once again.
“Yeah. Better than.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
Nothing can stop the smile growing on your face, not even by pressing your lips together.
“Never told me your preference,” he states casually, shaking some of his black fringe from his eyes. “In tea, I mean.”
“I’m happy to have whatever you have,” you promise. “I’m not picky.”
“You can be,” he promises right back. “Trust me, I have every type of tea you could think of.”
“Hoarding?”
“Hopelessly addicted, more like.”
The elevator pauses and gives way to the sixteenth floor’s hallway. When the door opens, Levi unfurls his arms to hold his hand out for you to take — only to seem to think better of it and fish for his keys instead as he takes the lead.
Instinctually your hand flexes at the ready to accept, but it falls limp to your side with the decision to simply follow behind.
(Yeah — you’re not used to the proximity yet, either.)
After passing a few apartments, Levi pauses at a door identical to yours and fiddles with the lock until it gives.
He pushes it open, gesturing for you to walk in first.
A part of you wants to hesitate.
The rest of you refuses.
His apartment is clean to a degree you’ve never seen before — for a person who had no idea he was going to end up coming home with a stranger, you’re impressed by the lack of clothes lying about or…
Really anything.
Everything appears pristine.
Taken care of.
So meticulously in order that you quickly toe each shoe off before stepping inside to leave the dirt and grime of the city at his doorstep.
Levi follows suit, removing his shoes and closing the door behind him.
As you stand awkwardly by the door, he shuffles around you to the kitchenette mirroring yours a few apartments below.
He reaches up into the cupboards to take out two mugs, preparing a kettle on the stove.
“Make yourself at home,” he offers, glancing over his shoulder towards you.
Right.
At home.
At home in the apartment where you got your shit verbally rocked for a week straight.
Afraid of offending him, you begin a slow mosey around the perimeter.
To the right is a cluster of framed photographs hanging on a wall — one portrays a tall, handsome blonde wearing dog tags around his neck and an all-smiles brunette with glasses cinching a less-than-enthused Levi between them.
The proximity suggests they could be his friends, though the keys each person holds in the photo makes you realize a second later:
In the background is a boxing ring, barely unpacked.
The co-owners of the old gym, maybe?
Considering the one person has dog tags, you can only assume they all met in the army and found themselves in the same city after deployment.
Another framed photograph has Levi in a similar annoyed disposition, arms crossed and unenthusiastic in contrast to the surrounding smiling young adults. They crowd him in various poses of muscle flexing, proudly sporting Survey Gym tees.
So his gym was called Survey Gym, huh?
The name rings a bell, if only in passing.
The young faces surrounding him must have been his trainees. His fighters.
(The people he held dear before the gym went under and he had to find a new path.)
“Trying to find dirt on me already?”
His voice makes you jump out of your damn skin.
“Oh — shit, sorry,” you sputter, stepping away from the wall. “I was just—”
“That was a joke,” he interrupts, the corner of his lip twitching.
Levi takes the initiative to walk over to you with both mugs in hand, steaming from freshly brewed tea.
He holds out a no-frills emerald mug to you, and the scent finally catches your nose:
Lavender.
“Those are my friends, if you’re too polite to ask.”
“I was relying on context clues,” you confess, mindful of the heat when taking the mug from his hand. You sip until a familiar warmth spreads through your body. “Co-owners?”
“Used to be,” he answers after his own gulp. His free hand gestures to the photo with two people. “Hange’s probably clinically insane and Erwin’s not much better.”
“The guy you mentioned over the phone to Petra?”
Levi nods, taking another long sip of his tea. You follow suit, enjoying the taste.
“Same guy who got me into the hotline, yeah.” He switches focus to the other photo. “Some of my fighters. They’re busy training with other coaches and shit now.”
“Would you ever go back to training fighters if you could?”
“Probably,” Levi replies, “but I’m not exactly the easiest to work with. If I’m training anyone, it’s alongside Erwin. No exceptions.”
Silence settles between your bodies.
As you continue to stand there, allowing the aroma of the tea to calm your senses, you know — the longer you stand here, the more what ifs begin to plague your mind.
What if you met his friends, became a part of his life?
What if you don’t measure up to his expectations?
What if you just said what was on your mind without holding back — would it scare him?
When you feel your mug suddenly grow light, your instinct is to clench your hand around the ceramic handle.
However, you come back down to Earth to realize the person maneuvering the cup is Levi, who has in turn moved closer to you —
So close you can smell the faint scent of a woody, musky cologne.
Angled towards your body, he pauses in removing the mug from your hands when he feels your muscles tense. “You’re disappearing on me.”
So he noticed, even in person.
Say it.
Say it, idiot.
“Just…”
Trailing off, you find yourself trusting him; letting go of the mug freely so that he can take it back. Levi sets both mugs down on a slender table situated just under the photographs, placing them on swirling marble coasters.
“Just?” he repeats, a mere murmur this time.
“This doesn’t feel real yet,” you confess. “Being here with you. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I wanted this but in my own apartment. Hell, it feels like this is my apartment because we have the same fucking layout — but yours is so much cleaner, I won’t even lie to you.”
It brings you both to laugh under your breath, octaves intertwining.
When he shakes his head, you find yourself gravitating to his orbit.
“Doubt it’s bad.”
“Oh, it’s a pigsty compared to this place,” you nervously giggle, moving even closer. “Like, I should go home to clean it – but later.”
“Definitely later.”
“Like tomorrow kind of later," you accidentally joke.
“Agreed.”
Oh.
Before the realization hits you, your breath tickles his cheek. Levi is practically toe-to-toe and warm, so very warm, to the degree of dizzying every reservation you had.
You don’t have the confidence to stare anywhere but his lips, parted with little puffs mirroring yours.
“And what is that you want now?” he adds quietly — a question that shoots straight to your core, twisting it with an intense desire that it nearly takes your breath away.
You know.
And if you were a gambling woman, then you suspect that he knows, too.
Three words exit your mouth, straight from your very soul:
“To be selfish.”
It’s all it takes.
As if released from a leash holding you both to your leads, you meet Levi in a passionate, suffocating kiss.
His hands reach for your face the same time you reach for his, mangling your limbs in a race to touch, to hold — to feel.
Manners are left behind as you press your lips to his, kissing him like you’ll die without. Your own hands bury themselves in the softness of his hair, dragging through the freshly-buzzed undercut and earning yourself a groan.
Shit.
He sounds even better in person.
“Levi—”
You part your lips with a shuddered breath when his tongue leisurely slides across it. All coherent thought ceases to exist.
It’s just him pushing closer — guiding you backwards — until your back hits something solid.
A surprised grunt melts into another groan as he moves one hand to cradle your head, mindful that the back of your skull doesn’t slam against the wall.
Levi tastes like the pineapple seltzer you abandoned back at the bar.
You want this.
Him.
Never in your wildest dreams have you considered sleeping over a man’s apartment before the third date, let alone the first, yet the heat of him — the taste of him — opens brand-new possibilities that mostly focus on the rest of that body underneath his gray long-sleeved shirt.
You're already grabbing the hem of your shirt. The fabric feels too tight against your blazing skin.
Off.
Everything needs to be off.
“Hey,” he exhales in-between kisses, catching your lower lip in his teeth to tug at it. Instantly you whine into his mouth, an involuntary (and fucking embarrassing) noise. “Hey—”
If he asks, you’ll say yes.
To hell with the unwritten rules.
You’re consenting adults, it’s clear you both want this, and when push comes to shove —
A hand shoots out, covering yours before your shirt can lift over your bra.
“Baby—”
All motor functions effectively freeze when you realize Levi is pulling away, forcefully creating some distance between your panting bodies.
“Baby, listen to me.”
As if in pain, he grits his teeth and pulls away from the kiss, eyes damn near black.
You’re left watching, stunned and disheveled and painfully aroused.
Worries go from nonexistent to overdrive in a matter of seconds.
“What’s wrong?” you quietly ask despite your budding panic. “Fuck. Sorry, did I do something wro—”
“No. Shit, are you kidding?”
Those stormy eyes catch yours, and you feel another sharp wave of desire flow through your body.
“You’re perfect,” Levi continues, struggling to catch his breath. “You’re fucking perfect, it’s just—”
Just.
One word acts like a splash of cold water.
You’re perfect, but something is imperfect about this.
You’re perfect, but he still wants to stop.
Levi scowls, voice rough. “Oi. I can hear you thinking a mile a minute.”
Heat rises to your face. “Me?”
“Yeah, you — so don’t.”
For good measure of reassurance, Levi leans back in to gently peck your lips. It’s less heated but by no means less passionate.
You belatedly press your lips back to his before watching him pull away.
His lips are slick with saliva and exertion.
There’s a deeper flush on his face that wasn’t there earlier.
“It’s just that I don’t want to rush this,” he states as calmly and evenly as he can.
Objectively, you get it.
Objectively, Levi is making a whole lot of sense. Rushing into things could end up with a lot of heartbreak and confusion. Taking it slow hurts way less than speedrunning the firsts of a new dating-situation-whatever this is.
Subjectively, you’ve heard him moan in your actual face and you would very much like to hear it again and again until it’s burned into the back of your brain like a core memory.
“And I’m not trying to say that we can’t — trust me, I want to — but you’re not some one-night stand to me in any capacity of the damn phrase.”
Unable to help yourself, you nervously roll your eyes and shrug a shoulder.
“Technically we’re kind of way past one night stands considering we’ve had, like, six.”
A wicked smirk flickers across his face.
“Yeah, no fucking kidding — but that isn’t what I mean.”
Taking yet another slow, even inhale, the dark-haired man runs his thumb affectionately over your cheek.
“Let me do right by you. By this. Even if it’s corny as shit, I’ll try it.”
Pausing, he drops the hand on your face to gently take your hand.
“I want to take you out on a date. A nice date. Something proper — starting with finishing our tea, then walking you home so I know you got to your apartment safe.”
“I’m six floors away, Levi,” you tease.
“I’ll settle on taking the elevator with you,” he retorts, teasing right back. "Still: let me prove I can be good to you. That I can earn you."
He pauses, jaw clenched.
"Earn us."
Reluctantly you both detach, the taste shared on your lips. He wastes no time to take your hand in his, squeezing it for emphasis, before giving you back your cup of tea.
Although the room is charged with tension, you both behave.
Sipping tea.
Holding hands.
Staring.
As much as you want to act on your desires, you’re flattered he’s so adamant to take this slow.
It only grounds this fantasy further into the woven fabric of reality — of what’s to come in your life.
Levi is good on his word: he walks you to the elevator, through the corridor and to your apartment.
And when you’ve managed to wriggle your keys into the door, he gently calls your name.
Just as you turn, he places that warm hand on your cheek and presses his lips back to yours.
This time it’s chaste, sweet — lingering.
They brush yours methodically, as if committing your body to memory, before reluctantly pulling away.
“Goodnight, formerly Scarlet,” he states under his breath for only you to hear.
“Goodnight, still Levi,” you return, mirroring his intimacy in tone.
Satisfied, he kisses you one final time before pulling away.
You watch as he walks backwards towards the stairwell of the apartment complex, a certain glow about him as he asks:
“Will I see you at the gym in the morning?”
As if you’d ever skip a leg day now.
.
Author's Note:
First of all, much love and appreciation for your patience as I finally found the mental capacity to write this chapter. Naturally it was easier to write in the summer, and fall has been A Time (TM). I have a lot of big life events coming up in the next few weeks, but I will keep the dash posted on when they should expect part three.
Thank you for any likes, replies, etc. Every reblog gives this writer wings.

The soft patter of rain against the window and the quiet rustling of pages were the only sounds in the still room. It was late—far later than you had intended to stay awake—but you couldn’t bring yourself to put the book down.
A small creak from the hallway caught your attention, and you looked up to see Levi standing in the doorway. His sharp gray eyes softened slightly when they landed on you, wrapped in a blanket. He didn’t say a word, just took in the scene before him. You smiled, expecting him to remind you that staying up this late wasn’t good for your health—the usual—but instead, he just let out a quiet sigh. he crossed the room and sat beside you on the couch. Comforted by his presence, you returned to your book.
Minutes passed, and you became so absorbed in the pages of your book that you almost didn’t notice Levi shifting beside you. His posture began to relax. His arm brushed against yours, and out of the corner of your eye, you noticed his head tilting forward slightly, his eyes fluttering closed as exhaustion began to claim him. Slowly, his head dipped lower until it came to rest gently on your shoulder.
You knew Levi had always struggled with sleep. It wasn’t just the pressure of being a leader or the countless battles he’d fought—it was deeper than that. The weight of his past, the ghosts that haunted him, the memories of those he couldn’t save—they all seemed to keep him tethered to insomnia. He never spoke about it, but you knew.
“Levi,” you whispered, “You should go to bed.”
He gave a quiet grunt, shifting his head against your shoulder instead of moving. "Mm. I’m comfortable here."
You smirked, trying to suppress a chuckle. "Didn’t think Captain Levi was the type to use his soldiers as pillows."
His lips quirked into the slightest smile. "Only the ones who stay up too late reading," he mumbled, his voice trailing off.
You chuckled softly, your fingers brushing through his dark hair without thinking. His eyes closed again, and this time, he didn’t fight it. You returned to your book, though your focus was no longer on the words. Instead, you let yourself drift, lulled by the sound of the rain and the comforting presence of Levi resting against you. Your fingers continued gently brushing through his hair. Eventually, your eyelids grew heavy as well. You rested your head gently atop his and let your own exhaustion take over. For once, the weight Levi always carried could rest, and so could you, knowing that, at least for tonight, he wasn’t fighting alone.

Bad ideas
Bad idea.
The thought echoed in your mind as you watched him, your heart racing despite the voice of reason screaming for you to look away. Your mind was listing all the reasons why you can't, you shouldn't. Your heart ignored it all.
Bad, bad ideas.
look away look away look away
You couldn't.
Levi sat next to you on the sofa, blissfully unaware of the chaos in your head. He was casually holding a beer can in that strange way he did, fingers gripping the top edge of it.
Was it strange that you found it attractive? You wondered how mortified he would be if he knew.
You shook your head, trying to snap out of it. But it felt different. Tonight.
How had you even ended up here?
You remembered showing up at Levi’s door just a few hours earlier, a plastic bag filled with cheap alcohol in hand. Your original intention was to consume them yourself, to drown your sorrows alone, to escape the whirlwind of emotions left in the wake of the disastrous expedition of today. But for whatever reason, you had sought him out instead. Your mind was restless and you knew Levi's were too.
He would understand. He always did.
So when Levi opened the door with a scowl on his face, you'd blurted it out without thinking.
“Wanna drink with me?”
He had blinked, confused, eyeing the bag then looking back at you.
“...I don't think you're supposed to be drinking.” He said after a moment, tone blunt but not unkind.
You had shaken your head. “Trust me,” You replied. “I do. And I think you do too.”
And that had been that. After a pause, Levi let out a soft grunt of acknowledgment, stepping aside to let you in. “Couldn’t you find someone else?” he’d muttered, but he didn’t push you away.
Hours slipped by in a blur. One bottle turned into another, and you found yourself ranting about everything: Erwin’s decisions. The bloodshed. The guilt. You unleashed every ounce of anger, resentment and guilt you held in your heart, complaining to him about every single thing you could find to complain about. The more you went through the bottles and the more the night fell, the more drunk you became, the less it was starting to be actually connected to what you were here for and more about the silly concerns and irritations of something only a drunk person would care about.
Levi sat quietly through it all, never once interrupting but always present, always listening. That was the thing about Levi—he didn’t talk much, but when he did, his words meant something. And when he didn’t, it wasn’t because he wasn’t paying attention.
But now you were here.
Silence filled the room, thick and heavy. You’d stopped talking a while ago, and Levi hadn’t moved. The quiet was suffocating, and your thoughts—dangerous, forbidden thoughts—were growing louder by the second. A part of you knew that this was not where you should be.
But it felt so different.
The thoughts were getting louder. Strange thoughts. Thoughts about the man beside you, thoughts you'd usually fight against, now impossible to ignore as you struggled to find something, anything to occupy your mind and anything to deny the unwilling confessions your heart was now whispering to you.
You weren't sober. And being here, with Levi, while incapacitated was a very dangerous gamble you had made tonight.
Why were you here, really? You thought. Why Levi?
“Couldn’t you find someone else?” He had asked.
Couldn't you? Weren't there other options?
So, why were you really here?
How were you supposed tell him that you.. just wanted to be with him a little?
Levi wasn't one to let people in. So you took what you got. Groans, grumbles, those snappy little remarks, you'd take it all. If that just means you got to spend a few hours with him. But how could you tell him that?
It was an excuse, you knew. You could drink alone; you didn't need someone else. All of it was an excuse you made yourself to justify this irrational yearning to be with him for a little while. Because you knew he wouldn't turn you away, not when you were sad.
Friends, the remnants of rationality insisted. You and Levi were just friends. So you have been for many years. That's what you were. And that's why you wanted to be close to him. That's why you seeked him. Because it was a rough day. Because he's a good listener. That's what friends do.
Friends.
Are friends supposed to have thoughts you had right now? Friends, so why did your heart race the way it was?
You were losing the battle you’ve been fighting for years. Every inch of you was warning you. These were bad, bad ideas, and it could ruin everything. Everything you've worked for. Not many could call Levi Ackerman their friend. You could. That's enough. That should be enough.
But it was happening so fast. With every passing moment, the less sober you were becoming and you really, really shouldn't be here at all.
But how could you not?
You stared at him blankly. He wasn't looking at you, blankly staring somewhere in the distance. He looked relaxed. More relaxed than you've ever seen him. His usual sharp, steely eyes half-lidded, his dark hair falling messily over his forhead. There was a faint flush on his pale cheeks and there, just there you saw the barest glimpse of vulnerability. He looked so soft, so unlike the hardened soldier you've always seen him to be.
God, he was so pretty. Always.
Now that you thought of it, you think you'd fallen the first time you've met him. It was so easy to.
He was a grumpy little asshole, a storm of contradictions—sharp-tongued and distant, yet in his quiet moments, so deeply, unshakably kind. You yearned to touch him. If he'd let you. If he only let you.
But boundaries. You dared not.
Still, staring at him, drunk and dazed, you think you just might.
You just might.
"... Lev?" You whispered, the word slipping from your lips before you could stop it.
Levi stirred, coming back from his thoughts. He frowns, turning to glance at you. "Yeah?"
You swallow, your throat suddenly dry. Why did you call him? Why were you doing this?
"Levi." You repeated. Did he know how much you loved his name? He notices it, you can tell, the tremor in your voice, one you couldn’t hide. His gaze sharpens, though the confusion lingers.
"...what?"
He set the drink down, focusing entirely on you now, a hint hint of concern flickering in his usually blank expression.
“I’m going to do something, Levi,” you muttered quietly, your heart pounding in your chest. “And you can’t get mad, okay?”
Now or never. Now or never. Your heart chanted quietly. Before the liquid courage dies down.
Levi leaned back almost instinctively, looking down at you with narrowed gray eyes. “That depends,” he replied, “Are you going to throw up on me?”
"No," you answered, “No, Levi.”
But just as you leaned in closer, your breath catching in your throat, you see his expression change. His eyes widen, just a fraction, and you realize that he knows. He knows what you were about to do. You see the exact moment it hit him.
There’s no going back now.
You close the gap between you in one swift, desperate motion, pressing your lips against his. For a heartbeat, he’s frozen. You think you’ve ruined everything. But then, as if time itself stops, Levi responds. His lips part against yours, tentative but warm, and for a moment, you forget to breathe.
Because this? This was everything.
You had spent days wondering how they'd feel but you had never thought of this. His lips were so soft, so plush against yours. So warm, he was pouring liquid heat into your mouth and holy fuck Levi Ackerman was kissing you. His hands were on you—gripping your arms, pulling you in. He was kissing you like he had been waiting forever. Like it was everything he couldn't say and he needed you to understand. Like he couldn't breathe and you're the only source of air.
Levi Ackerman was kissing you.
Holy fuck.
The realization hit you like a tidal wave, and you jerked back, gasping for air. The world spun around you, the gravity of what just happened crashing down hard. You sat there for a heartbeat, pulse thundering in your ears, waiting for him to say something—anything. But he just stared at you, wide-eyed, his chest rising and falling like he’d sprinted through hell. Disbelief and confusion carved into his sharp features.
What had you done?
“I should go,” you muttered, the words barely audible, more to yourself than to him. “I'm so sorry, I should go.”
But just as you began to turn away, he stopped you with a single, rough whisper.
“Don’t start something you can’t finish, you fucking coward.”
Then his lips were crashing back onto yours and you were gone.
There was no going back now.
