Can a lizard and a rat be best friends? It's more likely than you think!

Achara met Emil, a rat hybrid, before she began to attend AKA. The two were around 13-14. Emil was her first best friend and person she felt understood her completely and earned her trust.

He disappeared after a year with no traces. Achara spent her days before orientation looking for signs of him with no luck.

Once she entered AKA, she began to catch hints of him here and there. His scent nearby, sightings at their favorite arcade, but it isn't until Achara is kidnapped by the scientists of Centrapharm that she reunites with Emil, in the worst way possible.

This entire time, Emil was assigned to track her down and bring her back to the lab facility. She learns that her dad isn't her dad, but rather a former scientist who rescued her from the abuse she was enduring there. The would-be leader of Project Zodiac, a team of hybrids created to be the most powerful. She was created to be a weapon, a mix of multiple reptiles to form something akin to a dragon.

Emil shows regret, as he truly developed strong platonic feelings for her and gave up on his "mission" until this point.

Achara is hurt and betrayed, but Emil proves himself in aiding her and her friends' escape from Centrapharm. He stays behind as the rest of the hybrids there he considers his family, not wanting to abandon them. They hug, Emil having shown her he values her more than anyone else, and Achara promises she'll come back for him, and her father, who stayed behind as well.
