Two Days at ACEN 2018 - day 2 (part 3)

As I shopped a bit more, I recognized the person who was in line in front of me to give blood the day prior. She was sharing a booth with someone and I hovered a bit to see what they were selling. After some customers cleared away, I checked it out and she had ceramic items like various little cups and dishes.

I said, "You gave blood yesterday." She acknowledged that she had and I told her how I knew and that I had been rejected because of my experience with skin cancer. She went on to say we all have our challenges (actually, mine was not a big deal at all) and that she had been born deaf. She showed me some implants she wears and I told her I had listened to two stories recently on npr about hearing loss and recovery.

She spoke well and acknowledged her parents for having taught her. I had wanted to buy something from her as a reward for giving blood but I really didn't have an identifiable need for the cups and such but I bought a couple of magnets.

The one on the right reminds me of a hippo and the one on the left was saying "buy me" (literally) so I did but it hasn't said anything since.

I then picked up the purchases I had made earlier and took them to my car so they would not be damaged during the remainder of the day.

Long post, but here you go @acenancy

Context: My family and I always go on trips to hang out and have some quality time, usually this happens in areas right outside city, because they love going to the beach.

One of those many trips, we went to a place that had 3 houses right next to each other, it could have been a 3m separation between them, a bbq area and a pool.

Each family chose their house, and my core family chose the first one. But what was odd about our house it's that it seemed to have come with a dog. It looked like an ordinary dog, just laying in the entrance of the house. Naturally, my dad would always tell her to leave, but the dog never payed attention to him.

I found it so weird that the dog only seemed to stay in our house, while she never went to where my aunts or cousins where staying. On the first day, one of my cousins went to ask the owner about the dog and he said it was his dog and also the protector of this land, that we would need her. Obviously my cousin was confused and i just thought he meant figuratively. We later found out what he meant.

During the day, the dog would sleep on the porch of my house, didn't really do anything. But when the first night hit, around 7, she would be alert, always moving, like guarding the house. A curious thing that happened was that everytime a member of my family or me would cross the 3 meters to get to the other house, the dog would go with us, right next to us, once we where in the other house it would return to my house. And when she saw one of us start moving back to the house, she would go and walk us back.

The first night I thought that was really weird, but the 3 meter distance was dark so I thought she was keeping us company. When we finally went to sleep, we realized why she would walk with us or why she slept during the day to be awake at night.

My brother and I were sleeping in one of the rooms and around 2/3 am, things started happening. First, there was an awful sound of several dogs wailing as if they were being murdered mixed with a woman's cry. But in between those sounds, really softly I could hear a woman laughing. Since I was sleepy, I thought it was a party or something and I didn't really pay attention to it. But, the witch started bothering my mom in the other room, holding her in place so she couldn't get up, also smashing things in her window.

My mom prayed several times but the witch bothered her until 4 am. During all of this, the dog was barking and guarding the door. When we woke up, we were all weird because we knew what had happened except my dad who was fully asleep. My mom started talking about it and my brother and I were sort of relieved because it meant we weren't crazy or anything. When the whole family gathered, my mom talked about it and some of them said that the witch also bothered them. One of my cousins is totally cool about those things (idk how she can be?!) and she was just like "Hey just place an inverted broom at the front door and you will be fine, that's what I did". It didn't work for us btw.

I went to the dog and gave it food, thanking her for protecting us and not letting the witch get any closer, my mom and my brother were really thankful, my father didn't understand anything because he doesn't believe in those "things".

The second night was actually worse than the first. This time she appeared in my mom and brother's dreams. With long black hair covering her face, and wearing a dirty, old rope. She would laugh and ask them to step outside of the house. That night, the dog barked louder than ever before, which woke me up several times. Everytime I woke up, i would look at my brother and he would be awake, sitting in the bed, looking at the wall or the ceiling. I asked him what had happened, if he wanted to watch a movie or something. He refused, said he was fine and that I should go back to sleep.

In the morning, they told me. What was scary was that the witch's description of my brother and my mom, was the same. Like the same dream. That's how we confirmed the whole thing was real. Before we left, we thanked the dog one more time and prayed really hard so the witch wouldn't follow us home. We never went there again. And that was like in 2018.

If you ever encounter a witch, don't look at her when she has "transformed", she might curse you and drive you insane until you can't deal with it anymore. They usually look like regular women but when they shift to their true form, it's best to stay clear. At least that's how it is in my country. Don't know if it's the same everywhere.

A rare photo of the BeeZeeArt in the wild. Just wanted to make a quick update! I don't think I announced it well enough, but I was out of town for the week of the 4th. My significant other and I explored Saugatuck as one of our annual "pure Michigan adventures" where we just take some time to appreciate the gorgeous state we live in. Aside from an accidental 3 mile hike when we got lost in a state park going up and down sand dunes in 98 degree weather getting eaten by bugs, it was an amazing trip. (Sewing all day did not prepare me for that, I need a treadmill sewing machine I guess) Unfortunately its also put me behind on orders. That's the joy of being self employed. I hit the ground running when I came home and managed to get 90% caught up. I still have some beta fish left to send out and after that all orders should be within the normal processing time estimatesof 1-3 weeks, depending on the plush. If you have an order that has a tracking number, but no updates please let me know if that doesn't start moving in the next 24-48 hours. I had a pickup of 22 orders today, but I not sure if they were scanned in yet as there was a few issues with the pick up so it didn't happen until around 4pm. If you have a current order that has no tracking yet I just ask for a tiny bit of patience. I'm clearing my order list as fast as I can. If you dont have an order with me just go place one now and make me cry while my to do list grows and I am buried alive in plushies. (kidding! Sort of... ;p) In the next 1-2 weeks I plan to get around to the shoulder dragon updates. Also up on my "soon" schedule is the review for ACen 2018 and some new "fruit" bats. I also have new spoonflower fabric in for sleeping eeveelutions that I wanted to tackle at the end of May, but got too busy to get to. After that I'd like to release a new pattern. I have a Manatee coming along nicely and also a secret cryptid project in the works. Whew, thanks if you made it to the end of this super long post. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey

Long time since I’ve been on here.

I was looking at my email and I had a couple messages asking where I went but I figured I'd make a life update post...!

Did it by year and new’s at the end! :)

2016 

After some events and family issues I left Hale, moved out of Wisconsin and lived in Illinois for a while! It was a blast and I really enjoyed my time there. I did some personal searching and realized a lot about myself and things I did but I can’t look back, everything happens for a reason.

When I left hale, on my last day I met Sammie, who knew she would become my best friend of almost 3 years! She graduated when I was a junior so it was kinda like we graduated together but I honestly am so happy she’s in my life. This was a photo of us taken about 2 weeks ago, we live about 2 hours away from each other now, but we still get together several times a month <3

I still go to Chicago quite often to visit my group of friends, they actually came down here last weekend to throw me a surprise birthday party! 

My first friend I met there was Anneka and honestly I can't thank her enough for “adopting me” into her family. I met her at ACen in 2016 and we all have been together since. All the holidays and over 7 con’s now. 

2017

Senior year I moved to the country side of Wisconsin and graduated at a new school. It was scary as fuck but I kept an open mind. I kept to myself mostly and didn't really interact much with anyone so I don’t talk to anyone from there anymore lol. Funny thing was I got more education there verses my 3 years at Hale lol.

I graduated with a 4.0 compared to my 2.8 at Hale! 

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life so I didn’t continue on to college but there’s more of that to come further in the story.

After I graduated my friends flew me out to California for AX and at that con I met my Idol MARiA and saw her preform live! Here was my autograph from her c:

After that con I got sick for about 3 months where I was constantly in the hospital back and forth, fucking sucked. Never wanna relive that lol.

During that hospital time, my grandfather who I lived with got a spinal injury by falling down the stairs so I became a trained RNA and had to take care of him because he became paralyzed and he needed almost 24/ hour care. 

I was planning to go to WCTC but that had to get thrown out the window due to that situation :c

2018

January hit and I was just at a low lol, a lot of my friends were doing stuff with there life and I was just kinda at a hospital 24/7. I quit being a RNA and used my money to hire someone else to take care of him just because I wanted to start being social again etc. 

I started working at chili’s as a server which I half loved/half hated lol. It was nice being around people my age and I had a boyfriend for a small amount of time during that ,but he moved legit across the country after 2 months so it just didn't work out long distance. After working there about 3 months I got FIRED due to 2 customers, long story. 

Random but after I got fired some new’s dropped that my mom was sentenced to prison for 5 years, so that happened lol.

During my time trying to find a new job and started working out again and going back to dance lessons and I lost 35 pounds this year! I went from 210 down to 175 and I couldn't be happier. 

I started my new job at American Eagle of all places but It was a great gig! Loved my co workers and just everything about the job. Shitty pay but great discounts haha. 

At ACen, me and my friends were there on Thursday night and all were just hanging out. I got woken up by a call on the Friday morning at about 5 am to be informed that my grandfather passed away overnight. I felt so bad since I didn’t go see him that weekend since I was with friends in Chicago for the con but It couldn’t be helped. It was rough trying to deal with his loss and have fun the same time but that day I met Gorge.

The best thing about the con other then spending time with my friend’s was meeting this dork. We pretty much became best friends at first sight and hung out the whole con till like 4 am everyday haha. He lives in Florida so I don't get to see him sadly but we still talk every week and I swear It was like fate brought us together, especially for how similar our lives have been it was almost creepy lol.

So several months of working and shit we all decided to go to DC and go to OtaKon which was a blast! (minus the 4 fucking plane rides lol)

Me and Anneka finally cosplayed Ranko/Asuka and aah it was great! And I wore a crop top for the crossplay lol but it was so nice out, I loved it!

BIG NEWS

So now it’s September, and I just turned 19 and I recently quit my job at American Eagle. 

I am going to school abroad in Japan for 2 years for language and dance studies! I never believed I would be able to do this but all the support from friends and family I am finally living my dream.

Hey guys I went to CAD last weekend and while I was feeling awful I still at least tried to have fun!! Seeing people I haven't seen in forever was so refreshing. Just wished my depression wasn't kicking my ass lmao. I did a lot of bs closet cosplays cause I'm saving all my big cosplays for ACEN 2018 But!! I did Team Satisfaction Jack for day 1 and part of day 2 Changed into Angel Yuto later that night(then just threw on the Jack wig, which was made by @arminizewithme 💕 and for that I thank you. That wig is my life source sometimes jdjehfb) And then day 2 I was casual Yuto after changing out of Jack for the rest of the day! Also @homura-bakura was yuya and we chilled out together as Yuya and Yuto and that was so nice 💗💞 Overall I had lots of fun, and I def wanna go again next year!!!

Anime Central 2018

I booked 8 ACEN rooms. 1 for $3000 that entire week or 2 for $4999 hmu deals all day I am the plug.

ACen 2017 was awesome: Non-Yugioh

ACen was jammed packed full of awesome moments! One annoying thing is I wish the room was ready sooner. After going to ACen for 12 years I think next year may be the first time I check in Thursday night. It is a lot more money but there are just so many things to do on Friday that I can’t waste time on it. Plus then I do get to see friends more Thursday night. Need to really save up money to make ACen 2018 even better.

One of the only real concerns going into ACen was my roommates. It was very possible for uncomfortable conflict to break out. But luckily it was mostly good and my roommates were pretty cool. Early on my stuff kept getting thrown around carelessly but once I pointed out how rude that was it stopped. The only time they really gave me trouble is when they got super drunk Saturday night. They just got annoying, especially since i was putting the finishing touches on the Hentai panel. Overall though I am glad I roomed with them and not a bad roommate experience.

I had little plans to go to the Dealer’s room. I wasn’t even sure I would get to go until Saturday because of how many plans I had Friday. But I forgot how early ACen’s dealer’s room opens. I am used to smaller cons where the dealer’s room doesn’t open until like 3:00pm on Friday. So I did in fact do a lot of shopping! Bought all kinds of stuff I am sure I don’t need. In another post you can see the Yugioh  charms I got plus I got Manjoume. Also got Yuya for free but raffled him away. Also mentioned in another post I bought 5 keychains from MyKenBomb. I really need an ita bag because I have so many keychains and fricken nowhere to put them all! My Yugioh merchandise needs to be seen LOL Also got a new leash. I wanted to get an ACen shirt but they were sold out of the ones so I just got a new license plate cover since my last one broke. Then because of course I totally needed them I got Misaka & Kuroko plushies

Also got a big Monokuma plushie for my step-niece. I’m excited to give that to her! Finally I got a really cool gift for @roxxybawx but i don’t want to spoil that surprise so I will just tease her >^.^< Oh also because I am a FunimationNow member I got 2 free posters. 

On Friday night we got yummy meat lover’s pizza with extra garlic! Remind me to get that pizza again LOL Also my friends Jaxx & Remy stopped by the room. I bought Chandra Torch Of Defiance from Jaxx for $15. Normally way more than I would spend on a single card but it was going to my friend and come on she is my flaming waifu haahaahaa

Then I met Jessica who I had only started talking to for the first time like the night before online haaahaahaa. But I knew we would become good friends after hearing such good things about her. Me, her, and her friends went to the Hentai viewing room for some MST Hentai. Great time! We actually went to the yaoi room so that was even funnier. We saw My Sexual Harassment which I guess is a very famous yaoi with a well-known meme from it. I forgot what the second one was called, something Photography. The 2 main characters looked exactly alike though despite how they pointed out an age gap many times. Lots of jokes yelled out for both!

Didn’t sleep that well, bed seemed a bit hard for me. But oh well who needs sleep when you have stuff to do! Went to the Dangan Ronpa photoshoot as my bad Nagisa Shingetsu cosplay, need to actually finish it in the future. My roommates were DR3 Junko (with the leopard coat) and Aoi Asahina. The photoshoot was hard to find and went to the wrong location twice! I should know better by now and really check the maps well. The photoshoot was great though. I let the organizer borrow my megaphone for it. We also had school desks as props. I even had a cool idea for pictures like Souda X Sonia with Komaeda shipping it. Got to promote my Dangan Ronpa panel too.

Then it was more Dealer’s room and one last review of the DR panel. We were both nervous for the DR panel. It was a new panel for us and we were both hyped to run it at first but right before it we just both didn’t really feel like doing it. We wouldn’t confident it was good enough or would fill enough time. My panel partner was mad that she had done most of the work which is a very fair thing to be mad about. But luckily the Dangan Ronpa fandom is amazing! I had no problem falling right back into the role of fandom host and leading the discussion. They were just as passionate as the Yugioh fandom if not more! Sadly we totally went to time and didn’t really get to talk about the last 2 majors things in the franchise and I know a lot of people wanted to talked about them. Still though many who attended gave us praise for it even though we had low expectations..... low hopes for the panel. I really want to interact more with the Dangan Ronpa fandom. Especially after V3 comes out. There was a whole group of V3 cosplayers and you could see how painful it was for them to hold back spoilers. They were such awesome people though!

As I mentioned in the Yugioh fandom post, @precioussorakaibashun came to the DR panel so I really appreciate the support! We hung out afterwards and caught up on life, been so long since we had last talked.

I honestly feel like I am forgetting something else that happened Saturday night. A friend lost her badge so that sucked! Later I went on an adventure with some of the friends I mentioned up above that I won’t go into the details of but lets just say I had a real fun time!

Finally we got to the 3rd panel, the famous hentai panel. Surprisingly the line was not as long as normal and we didn’t hit max capacity which is we almost always do. But we still had a whole lot of people and more importantly the quality of people was top-notch! So many awesome comments from people. We really told a lot of good jokes and had great discussion. It was very heartfelt and emotional. In a separate post I’l’ say an awesome line I came up with on the spot. Also a friend from an old job was there so I found it funny that he got to see that side of me.

I realize most people that follow me have no interest in my hentai panel which is totally fine and understandable. But let me just say this from a sociology stand-point, I have seen the community change since we first started running it. Just as the Yugioh fandom has greatly changed since I first started running that panel, people’s attitudes about sexuality and kinks have changed. Before it was like “Oh that is gay. How funny!” and now it is like “Yeah this is gay. We are all pretty gay. It is pretty cool.” People are far more accepting of all sexualities. Before some kinks were like “This is some fucked up shit! How is anyone into this?” and now it is more like “This is not my kink but I could maybe see how someone else could be into it.” Overall just a higher tolerance and acceptance of other people’s lifestyles. Some idiots would claim this makes things less funny but I totally disagree! I feel like we get to have more intelligent humor now that people are so respectful of each other. It is really amazing! I know it must be weird for me to get so sentimental over my Hentai panel but seriously it really does make the future look like a brighter place to see people so much more tolerant.

I totally forgot i went to the dance Friday night! I don’t even remember when LOL I think after the yaoi viewing. Just leaving this here instead of squeezing it up there. I spent too much money on glow stuff. Got a necklace and bunny ears that each light up. But the coolest things were these gloves with lights in the finger tips that had 5 different settings of flashy lights of different colors. They are really impressive and cool! I want more excuses to wear them!

Back to Saturday night I was all pumped up after the panel so I wanted to stay up all night and party! There was no real party to be had though LOL  I went to the dance but i wasn’t as into it as I was the night before sadly. I wondered around a bit until I stopped by the Hentai room but again not as great as it was Friday night. So after failing to force the fun I just went to sleep at like 5:00am lol

Then as i said in the other post, Sunday was mostly a Yugioh day so that made my ACen Sunday better than any previous year.

Lets not forget throughout the whole con I ran into dozens and dozens of different friends. Although some people have faded I still know a LOT of people in the Chicago cosplay community and I think that is really awesome. I may not be that close with most of them but still I really enjoy seeing them around.

With ACen 2017 down I have at least 3 more cons planned for this year: Exxxotica, Soycon, and Geek Kon. But I am already hyped and making plans for ACen 2018! Over the next year I really am going to get back my motivation to work on cosplays and make many new awesome cosplays to wear! ACen really is a magical wonderful time where I get to see friends that I don’t get to see any other time. I feel so connected with 100′s of long lost brothers and sisters. The sense of family I get at ACen is so powerful. I love it! So I look forward to having more Precious Times and Glory Days with everyone!

Two Days at ACEN 2018 - day 2

I arrived home at about 2:00 AM from day one's activity. I live 40 miles away but at that time of night the drive was fairly quick. It was 3:00 AM by the time I had showered and gone to bed. I set the alarm for 8:00 wanting to get an early start on Saturday. I try to park in a commuter lot that's about 2 - 3 blocks from the Con site. There, it costs about $9 for 15 hours versus at least $20 for parking in the garage near the hotels.

My alarm went off at 7:30 as I had forgotten that I have one set for our cat's insulin shot. So, up at 7:30 with a bit of a headache for lack of sleep. I made breakfast for my wife and me then headed out to do a couple errands before heading back to the Con.

As I got nearby, I stopped at Target for some Advil and then arrived at the commuter lot which had available parking after all.

I recognized this car from the day prior. When I arrived at the lot on Friday, both entrance lanes were blocked and I got out to ask what the issue was. A guy explained that the gate was up and wouldn't dispense a ticket. (This was the car.) I decided to drive through and sort things out later. (It all worked out okay.)

Anyway, by the time I got to the site, I had missed a panel I had hoped to attend: the Japanese Cultural Center - ZEN Meditation.

So, instead, I headed to the manga library where I donated several books including two that are Japanese language only. I didn't spend any time reading. I think it's great that they're there and it would be a nice opportunity to explore some titles. However, it's just not an activity I parsed out time to do. Maybe some other time.

I also skipped the Crunchyroll presentation of Cardcaptor Sakura as I had seen it at the theater. So, instead, I headed to the Pachinko Parlor. It wasn't busy and I had toyed with the idea of trying it each of my last two ACENs but never did. I'm not very into gaming, but I finally asked them to show me how to play.

These are the three machines I played. The vintage machine seemed to pay out better and takes longer to play whereas the modern machines have more bells and whistles but consume your balls more quickly. I had some fun for only $5. I did get a gold ball which is worth 25 others and I gave it to the person in samurai armor as a thank you for allowing me to take her photo.

Then, I headed off to my final panel of the weekend, Basic Japanese, which was fun and informative.

After that, I visited the RWBY cosplay shoot. I watch RWBY but the cosplayers are into it on a level that makes little sense to me. They engage in role playing dialog that is hard for me to decipher but I appreciate their ardent enthusiasm.

I came to see one particular individual, "twifairy" (I'm not tagging her here since this is a long blog and I'm only making a brief mention). Frankly, many of the cosplayers put an admirable amount of creativity and effort into their costumes. You can say what you want about young people but if you saw what they accomplish, you'd be impressed.

When my wife and I visited the first time, we just got a brief glimpse and, afterward, I checked out photos on various sites. At one point, I came across the RWBY photo shoot and twifairy did a very good Cinder!

In the years since, she has continued to evolve her character cosplays to include several of the show's roles. She does her own designs and sewing and, what's impressive is that she was a mid-teen several years ago (who could tell?). So, I'm saying that the creativity and dedication to craft is impressive in a young person. And, she's polite. (Most of the con-goers are polite and well behaved [they call me "sir" a lot ... haha], so again, it's impressive. They're just there to have fun!

In the DEADMAN WONDERLAND manga series, framed for the brutal murders of his classmates by the mysterious Red Man, a middle school student named Ganta Igarashi finds himself sentenced to death and sent to a bizarre and fatal theme park/prison that has risen from the ruins of the Great Tokyo Earthquake – a hell on earth known as “Deadman Wonderland.” The inmates of this insane penitentiary fight for survival every day to provide entertainment for the masses, and terrifying secrets lurk in the shadows. Ganta is determined to survive Deadman Wonderland and clear his name, but the price may be his soul.

Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou made their debut in 2005 with the manga adaptation of the anime series EUREKA SEVEN, which is available digitally from VIZ Media. The two are currently working on their latest manga series, Smokin’ Parade.

Recap of 2017 / Resolutions for 2018

2017 was incredible, and had many twists and turns. If we go by the negatives, it was a bad year. I was broken up with twice, and had a fling end abruptly because she fell for someone else. My ex and I are in the same wedding party for a mutual friend, and the engagement will be a long one (1.5 years), so it’s a guarantee we’ll be seeing each other much more than I’d prefer. I recently lost the friendship of someone who I’ve known for over 2 years.

But if we go by the positives, it was a fantastic year that far outweighed the negatives. 

I had a wonderful final semester of college. I took the most enjoyable classes of my entire academic career, including a course where I programmed a mobile app centered on mental health tracking. I met incredible people in that course and I’m so grateful I was part of the team with them. I binge-watched the entire Star Wars original and sequel trilogies, and loved all of the movies! I enrolled in CBT therapy which helped me tremendously in every aspect of my life, and I ended my college career with the best grades I’ve ever achieved in a semester.

I graduated college, and was lucky enough to have my family attend the ceremonies. It meant so much to me to have them there. It had been a long 5 years and there were multiple points where I thought I would have to drop out, and I’m so thankful my family helped me through it all.

I moved to a new town, where I knew only 2 people, and signed a lease for the first time. I’m lucky enough to be able to live in a nice apartment in a safe town, and I don’t take it for granted. @amaethia​ has been wonderful in helping me get acclimated to the area, and I can’t thank them enough for being such a great and supportive friend.

I started a new job where everyone has been nice to me in the six months that I’ve been working there. I’m able to take care of myself and others, and between those two things it makes going to my day job every day worth it.

I went to ACen and met my best friend @yusei-fudo​ for the first time! @amaethia​ was kind enough to accommodate some space for me in their room, and it was soooo amazing hanging with the both of them. It was too short, but it was such a blast.

I traveled to Colorado to see my best friend @yusei-fudo​ and it was so nice to visit him and experience the wonders of Colorado with him! I kept falling asleep on him super early cuz I was still on Eastern time haha, but I tried to make the most of our time together while I was there and I absolutely loved and treasured every moment shared with him.

I traveled to Boston for a company-sponsored hackathon, and was on a team with 5 other wonderful people. I felt so lucky to have met them and worked with them, and I was very sad to leave. Boston was beautiful and I tried to soak in the sights while I could.

I participated in a Death Note gift exchange, wrote a Death Note fanfic - over 3000 words - and posted it on AO3. I feel especially proud of it, as it brought out my best fiction writing I’ve ever done, and it’s been received warmly by the fandom! Here’s the link if you’re interested in reading :)

I started medication for my bipolar disorder/bpd, which has helped me TREMENDOUSLY so far in terms of increasing my productivity and emotional stability.

Many other wonderful things happened but these are just the highlights and things that matter most to me.

5 resolutions to guide me through the new year:

Read more (I already have a book on the way - John Yorke’s Into the Woods)

Write more (I reblogged a post that has a prompt every day of January!)

Exercise more (before work every morning)

Worry less about work (because it is only my day job, and not my career)

Spend more time with my family and friends (because I have horrible tunnel vision when it comes to work/my life and it comes at the expense of my family and friends. It’s something I’m still working on)

My theme for the new year:

The universe is like a river. If you flow with it, it will take you to where you’re destined to go.

I need to flow more with where the universe feels I need to go. This year made me realize that the universe is pulling me away from romantic attachments, and towards my writing career, my family, and my friends. And my relationships in general will continue to suffer until I am more well-balanced and have worked sufficiently on my self-esteem to rid me of my abandonment issues. I hope that with therapy and my medication I will help make not only my own life better, but others’ as well.
